Crush Pizzaria is one of those places that doesn't immediately stand out from the outside, but once you step inside, it completely changes your impression. The atmosphere is well done, inviting, and has a great overall look. At first, I'll admit I was a little disappointed when ordering. I wanted a pepperoni pizza, but they don't really do customizations like that. Instead, they stick to their specific menu--no adding or swapping toppings, even onto something like a margherita. That caught me off guard and wasn't my favorite moment. That said, once we settled in, things turned around quickly. We ordered some wine--a Tempranillo and a Montepulciano--and both were solid choices. When the pizza came out, it completely changed my perspective. It was really, really good, and it paired perfectly with the wine. Later on, the owner explained that their pizzas are intentionally crafted a certain way to pair with their wines, which is why they don't allow modifications. We also did the wine tasting, which was only $10 and absolutely worth it. We ended up buying four bottles--especially liked the Syrah and Petite Sirah from Fiddletown. Both were excellent. Overall, what started off a little frustrating turned into a great experience. The food and wine pairing concept really works, and the quality speaks for itself. Definitely worth checking out--just go in knowing they do things their way, and trust the process. read more

Delicious!! Great Crust!! Fresh toppings!! We have eaten there four times now, and it's worth the 22-mile drive!! The latest creation is so so good, smoked salmon with capers, red onion, buffalo mozzarella, white sauce, and lemon zest on top!!! Crush is even better than our favorite local pizza joint in El Dorado/Diamond Springs!! Support local small businesses, and they are a winery as well! I really don't like to leave bad reviews, but this pizza was just super underwhelming. We got it to-go with a group of friends who all ordered their own to-go as well. We probably ordered about 6-8 pizzas all together. Ordered online and picked up. Ordering was easy and pizza was ready on time and staff was friendly enough when we picked up. Unfortunately, the pizza just didn't have much flavor. No one in our party was impressed with any of the pizzas they chose. They were very dry, minimal toppings, and a bland crispy crust. Less satisfying than store bought pizza. Not sure if the experience would've been different had we eaten in. We were hopeful and excited to support a small business, but we do not plan to be back. read more

Was really hoping for some consistency after being several times. Only 2-3 salad options and no lettuce right when you open? Service is always really slow which is fine- that's why we live in a small town. But when the owner takes the dirty plates off of a table he's talking to and sets them on your table to continue his conversation, that's where I draw the line. Pizza 1st time- great! 2nd time- not great. Margherita pizza had zero basil and looked like a tomato sauce pizza with nothing else and it taste like SpaghettiOs. Even the gal next to us asked for a "side of basil"! 3rd time- just ok. And last time we didn't feel so hot leaving there. I feel like if you're going to have just a select few pizza options, you have to master those pizzas. I really hope it improves. Wow, what personal service and great pizza. Enjoyed a smoked salmon pizza with a crisp white wine. This place is fantastic. The pizza is thoughtfully hand crafted and delicious. First time in here and I would say that it was tasty. Went with my sister and brother in law and we had the chicken wings, ceasers salad and a pizza. They were very accommodating for the four of us cause the only room left was the bar and we preferred a table. The staff was great and it was clean and the paintings on walls were beautiful. We had lunch there today and it was amazing! We shared the Cesar salad and the Il Gioiello pizza. The salad was huge and fresh. The specialty pizza was delicious. My husband Brandon and I recently visited the new Crush Pizza on Main Street in Plymouth, and we were blown away! From the moment we walked in with our 6-month-old daughter, the customer service was top-tier. Even though they were packed, the staff was incredibly welcoming. They even cleared off the entry table just so my husband could set down the car seat to free his hands while we looked at the menu. We originally planned to order to-go once we noticed how busy it was and to enjoy a glass of wine while we waited, but as soon as a high-top table opened up, the staff promptly offered it to us. Our wine was poured quickly, and the pizza arrived in just 10-15 minutes. We tried the Pizza of the Week (Kalamata olives, spicy Italian sausage, arugula, and mozzarella) and it was unbelievable. We've eaten at pizza spots all the way from the Bay Area to Tahoe, and this was easily the best we've ever had. The portions were perfect and the flavors were spot on. Even though it was a very busy night and maybe a bit overwhelming for the team, they stayed kind, attentive, and professional. Their wine and beer selection is also very impressive. Stayed in Plymouth at rest hotel that was wonderful! Walked down to crush ! Met Robert Morris! What a joke and what a jerk! Watched him treat his customers like crap under his shoes , they had pre teen children dining, and not bad children. He was rude the moment they walked in! Read his 20 year experience in the business! If this was my first impression of the wine here I'd never return! Pizza was like a box pizza from the grocery store that gave us diarrhea! Salad was so cold almost frozen. We thought wow people actually eat at this place? Your rude ! Your food sucks! And you claim to have fine dining experience well learn how to make a good pizza that isn't frozen! Wine is subjective, I know wine and this is eh you have the ring of fire! You need to go back to hospitality school. I'm curious why you left Plymouth to go back to your winery to come back to Plymouth?
