I didn't realize they came on a Greek salad, and I don't like beets. That is entirely my mistake. I would order it again sans beets. I got the square pepperoni lovers, and it was cooked perfectly. It had smaller pepperoni (a lot) and also slices of crispy pepperoni that has a texture like bacon. The edges of the pizza were crispy and golden. Of course the cheese was gooey and hit the mark. I'll have to get a photo next time around because we devoured it before I took a photo.

The BBQ brisket pizza is easily my favorite, but it's unfortunately not a regular menu item. In 2022, Johnny Z's collaborated with Bad Brad's BBQ for the brisket pizza. In 2024 and 2025, Johnny Z's brought it back, collaborating with Full Rack Barbecue instead. I've also tried the cheese bread and the boneless wings. I've had the cheese bread twice now, and it's about what you'd expect it to be. I will say, the first time I had it was better than the second. I recommend getting the garlic butter dip. As for the wings, they were just okay, but I'd be willing to give them another try. All things considered, Johnny Z's is a solid, local pizza place, and is better than your typical pizza chain.
