Best margarita pizza around!! I'm looking forward to trying their other pizzas, but I always get stuck on my favorite. The staff is so friendly and they really work hard to make every pizza with quality and use fresh ingredients. Their sauce is amazing! Pro tip- garlic butter crust!!

Pizza is literally the gateway to my heart. Ray's NY style pizza is a great addition to SCS and their pie is delicious. It was also quite beautiful to look at when I opened up the box.

A friend and I gave this place a try the other day. Both the rounds were good. I'd recommend the garlic knots. One of the better pizza places in the shores.

GF margarita pizza- notice anything missing?

IMO this was very expensive for what we ordered and received; +$5.99 delivery and then a tip on top of that. I ordered the large pizza and breadsticks deal. I didn't receive the breadsticks so I called right away. I should have checked the rest of my order before hanging up. My GF margarita pizza was not cooked all the way, and was missing the basil. I also asked for sesame seed crust and that was not on there either. I know this place is new, but I won't be rushing back anytime soon with other pizza places closer and better service.

Locate in a little strip mall right past 12 mile on Harper with ample parking and a cool Sports Card and memorabilia store next store. Tried the NY style Margarita with fresh basil. They use a solid sauce and the dough was very good with a good amount of fresh basil on top made for a good pie.

New York style pizza with old fashioned style pepperoni and ricotta cheese

I decided to give Ray's a try tonight because they had a deal for a one topping NY style pizza for National Pizza Day. I did half ricotta and half old fashioned pepperoni. The pizza was larger than I expected. I liked the flavor and the butter/garlic/cheese on the crust was delicious. You do have to pay over $3 for every topping (including the first one) so I wish there was more ricotta. I also found the pizza a bit greasy and wanted more sauce. All in all, a pretty good pie.

    Antipasto Salad

I was very excited to see Ray's take over the old chain pizza place that was here. I literally just saw it driving by on Harper and thought it looked promising. I much prefer New York style pizza, which is hard to come by in the land of "Detroit-style" square, doughy pizza. So we tried this new place the first chance we got. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was all super good. The Pizza Margherita, the criterion by which I judge all pizza places, was fantastic, and loaded with basil in every bite. I love that they have the old-fashioned spicy pepperoni we got on the other pizza, and the antipasto salad was super fresh. So happy to have this pizza place in our neighborhood!

I love Ray's. It's a little pricey but worth it . The pasta and salads were great. The calzones are my favorite

Undercooked, left off topping & overpriced. I order thru an app so just ate our dinner but definitely not ordering from them again!

I ordered online through toast with no issues. The do not have a dime in area, but I could see myself impatiently eating a slice in my car before getting home. It's that good. The geek salad was a classic Greek, and I tried the vegan ranch to experiment. The ranch was pretty good. In hindsight, I wouldn't have gotten beets. I didn't realize they came on a Greek salad, and I don't like beets. That is entirely my mistake. I would order it again sans beets. I got the square pepperoni lovers, and it was cooked perfectly. It had smaller pepperoni (a lot) and also slices of crispy pepperoni that has a texture like bacon. The edges of the pizza were crispy and golden. Of course the cheese was gooey and hit the mark. I'll have to get a photo next time around because we devoured it before I took a photo.

The BBQ brisket pizza is easily my favorite, but it's unfortunately not a regular menu item. In 2022, Johnny Z's collaborated with Bad Brad's BBQ for the brisket pizza. In 2024 and 2025, Johnny Z's brought it back, collaborating with Full Rack Barbecue instead. I've also tried the cheese bread and the boneless wings. I've had the cheese bread twice now, and it's about what you'd expect it to be. I will say, the first time I had it was better than the second. I recommend getting the garlic butter dip. As for the wings, they were just okay, but I'd be willing to give them another try. All things considered, Johnny Z's is a solid, local pizza place, and is better than your typical pizza chain.

The inside was exactly what you'd expect from a neighborhood pizza place -- clean, simple, and the staff were friendly. Our carryout order was ready quickly, and the pizza itself looked beautiful when we opened the box. We ordered the white pizza. The crust was excellent and had great flavor, and we really enjoyed the garlic on it. Unfortunately, aside from the crust and garlic, the pizza itself felt a bit bland overall. My husband ended up adding pepper and I added hot sauce just to give it a little more flavor. If we were to try it again, I think adding jalapeños might help bring some extra flavor to the white pizza. My husband, however, wasn't convinced he would order the pizza again. Overall, we'd still be open to trying other items on the menu, but the white pizza didn't quite live up to our expectations.

We agreed there was not enough cheese or sauce on this pizza, with the lack of cheese more noticeable. Also found the crust to lack flavor and also rather dry. The toppings were fresh and plentiful but it didn't outweigh the deficiencies. In hindsight I should have ordered a flavored crust. Maybe they just had an off night in the kitchen. There are better pizzas out there.
