I am (was) a regular customer. Last night we picked up a pizza that was badly burned on the bottom, which we discovered when we dished out the slices to everyone. I called the store and said, "Hi, we just picked up a pizza that was burned on the bottom," and the guy immediately hung up. Great Italian style crispy thin crust pizzas coming out of this joint. This is my go-to spot since moving to Scituate. Pizzas come in one size only, but roughly what most places would serve as a large. The specialty pizzas are creative and thoughtful. The toppings and ingredients are fresh and presented nicely on the pies. Speaking of toppings, they have a good selection of herbed cheeses along with one of my personal favorites, Gorgonzola. Not many places offer that one, so bonus points for Crust right there. I haven't had the goat cheese yet, but the herb whipped ricotta is outstanding. Service is prompt and my order has been ready upon arrival, executed to perfection every time. In and out, and on my merry way to devour pizza. I ordered a San Marino which is suppose to be a traditional Italian with coppa, mortadella, salami (lack of meat), provolone, lettuce (lack of!), pickle, onion and spicy piccalilli relish (lack of). The sandwich lacked everything except for bread. There was nothing special about the roll, but there was plenty of that! About 3 thin slices of each meat and cheese in a "large" and payed $9. . .When a place has to list "Extra Meat & Veggies $1" I guess one should assume that nothing is really on the sandwich! read more

Word of advice: if it is a Thursday-Sunday night and it's raining, double the time they tell you for your food. It is some of the best pizza on the south shore so it is worth the wait but don't feel pressured to be here when those "30 minute" are up. And note that I do not like to wait when hungry. Their pizza is among my favorite in our area for a few reasons: their crust is always crispy and has some nice flavor to itself, their ingredients are all fresh and their specialties have some amazing pairings. Would give five stars but Friday I offer I was told 30 minutes and ended up waiting around an hour and ten minutes, 45 of those minutes with a revolving crowd of people doing the same at their store front. Unfortunately, the crust was the worst part of the pizzas my friends and I ordered here. I had to scrape off the burnt cornmeal (or flour) that was stuck in big clumps on the bottom of the crust. Nothing like eating burnt cornmeal. The sauce doesn't have any flavor and the toppings are sparse. 3 people and 3 different pizzas. And none of us can recommend the pizza here at Crust. They can't figure it out. They say at order it will be a 40 to 45 min wait which turns into a 60 to 65 min. wait. People hanging out in store and cars because they can't manage pizza orders. Delicious pizza made in a tiny place near the N Scituate commuter rail stop. The salads are fresh and very good -- one salad can be split between two people. The pizza thin crust but substantial enough to handle toppings. Topping choices are abundant but not overwhelming. Their original pizzas are excellent. I've tried the Riva Pizza (braised shortribs with red wine sauce & goat cheese); the Caramia Pizza (italian sausage with hot cherry peppers) and a black olive & onion pizza. I'm a pizza snob, and I would absolutely go back and try the other pizzas on the menu. They also have several types of breads for sale, as well as some giant cookies. I've been getting my pizza there since this location opened (it was formerly associated with a local restaurant) and have never experienced anything but polite friendly service. What a shame - Riva Pizza was so unique and refreshing when it first appeared on the scene in North Scituate. Now is just sucks beyond belief and the arrogant a-holes don't care. After having not been there for a while I ordered a half Rimini/ half Monopoli pizza to take home. Once I got home I discovered that the Rimini side was undercooked and chewy and the other side had no meat on it and did not remotely resemble what I had ordered. When I called back to explain their screw up I was told that I could drive back down there, return all of the pizza that I didn't order and that I could wait for them to cook what I had ordered. No apology - just instructions on how they could waste more of my time. When Riva Pizza was good they might have been able to get with this nonsense but not anymore. Anyone liking thin crust pizza should check out Peel's Pizza in Cohasset and stop wasting time and money on these a-holes. A dramatic fall from first to worst - there are too many other options for anyone to tolerate the crappy attitude and disrespect towards the brand. The Tondorfs deserve a lot more respect than what they're getting from whoever is running this mess. read more

This is our "go to" pizza place. It is soooooo good. The sauce is bomb. The toppings are high quality. The crust is amazing. The Monopoly is in a class by itself. Always a good experience here ! Pizza is very consistent, so you know what you're getting. Wait times are average as they can get pretty busy on the weekend.
