We were 5 for lunch.. a couple of the gals opted for a shrimp scampi pizza which was not on the menu but they said they would make it for them, and they bother had salads.. I opted for the chicken lettuce wraps. One gal got the fish and clam chowder combo and the last gal got a cup of the soup of the day which was beef barley soup and a Caesar salad. Brian was our server and did a good job handling 5 women and all our requests. Everyone enjoyed their meals and most of us had food to take home. All in all it was a lovely lunch and just happened to be a lovely day weather wise which was nice because we had a table facing the water. A great lunch spot if you've never been. It's not often that you can order excellent seafood, bar bites, pizza, and genuine Italian at one establishment, but Polcari's Bridgeway Inn can. In the off season it's a local joint with a large bar and Keno games. I was told in the summer it's packed. Four of us arrived for lunch and were quickly seated by the windows for a great water view. The seafood selections caught our eye as we were meeting friends at an Italian restaurant for dinner. Plus one ordered a lobster roll and it did not disappoint. It was not some lame over Mayoed roll stuffed in a hot dog roll but a very generous pile of claw meat on a bed of lettuce. I don't think she ever got down to the roll, if any. My lobster pie was baked with a more than a generous amount of lobster and breadcrumbs seasoned perfectly. I did enjoy their coleslaw and side veggies. A dining companion ordered baked stuffed shrimp and they were jumbo shrimp topped with the same stuffing as my Lob pie. There is a full bar and TVs galore. Service was prompt and friendly. We enjoyed a walk on Humarock Beach before retreating over the bridge to the air-conditioned dining room and bar at Polcari's. Nothing like a cold beverage on a hot day in June. This place has a large bar and seems like a regular crowd, a good thing. A decent variety of Italian treats and sea-food entrees tempted us for dinner as we watched the boats rocking gently. My wife had to have one of their generous lobster rolls - delicious - and my daughter m enjoyed the broiled seafood medley. I went with the Swordfish, a solid piece but the side options could have been paired better vs the Broccoli and finger potatoes. . Figure you'll pay beach vacation prices, but the alternate choices of dining in the neighborhood are very limited. We didn't leave hungry, and that's for sure! read more

Called at 5:42 pm and was quoted an hour for 2 pizzas and an order of buffalo tenders. Arrived at 6:42 and paid. I was told it was going to be another 10 minutes, then after the 10 minutes was up I was told it was going to be another 20-25 minutes. I waited even longer and didn't leave till 7:30pm. I spoke to the manager and she was insanely rude. I got home and one of the pizzas was cold and the tenders were gross. I called bac today and the young host was rude and arguing with me on the phone. Got nowhere with this matter and the place wasn't even busy. Absolutely ridiculous to wait almost 2 hours for 2 pizzas and buffalo tenders. read more

I was disapointed with this restaraunt. Ordered 3 shrimp cocktail which had a yellow discoloration and tasted bad. The person I was with would not allow me to speak up. Whole belly clams tasted like mush.... Presentation of meals was lacking. Too bad because its a great location. Terrible seafood for a place right on the water. read more

to begin with the menu on web site is an old one. I was just there on 4/15/26. Two out of party of three were not happy with our meals.

Service was terrible. Waitress forgot our drinks and then never brought silverware or plates. The gentleman who delivered our food was nice, and was able to get us side plates and forks. She never returned to ask how the food was. Once again, asked the food runner for more dressing since she disappeared. She came back to bring boxes when I finally found her. As she was giving us boxes to leave, she said - sorry it wasn't my table. So then why did she wait on us? I've been coming here my whole life as my father was friends with the previous owners (current owner's father and uncle) and I've known Tony (current owner) pretty much my entire life. The atmosphere, location, food, and service are always great here. I don't get back to my hometown of Marshfield often, but when I do, I try to stop by here for lunch. I always get take out now a days and let me tell you the Baked Stuffed Lobster special is amazing the best around actually. They stuff it with scolops and shimp in the stuffing. Just amazing. I was forced to give a star. I live within walking distance and have for years. I frequently order take out and eat here multiple times a year. I had a reservation tonight and they would not seat me until entire party arrives. I said we were ordering drinks and apps while wait - last couple was in trafffic. We come to Humarock every year. One of our highlights is dinner out at the Bridgwaye. We usually have a party of 8 to 10 so there is a bit of a wait for a table. But we have always enjoyed our hour or so at the bar until our table got set. That is until this year. Kelly, at the bar was incredibly rude. This was a shock as we had sat on her side of the bar literally for years. I was ready to chalk this up to someone just having a "bad night". But, when we came back a few nights later it happened again. Kelly was unbelievably insulting again. In any other situation we would have asked for the Manager but we all have (and still have) warm feelings for the Bridgwaye. We'll be back again next year but with some caution. We just love this place. It's a family favorite. Grilled romaine salad is (usually) outstanding. Pizzas are GREAT, tho can get way too expensive to add toppings, better to just order the special. Some yummy apps. Seafood is good. Italian is good, with generous portions. Food is a little bit pricey, but they serve big portions. Patio leaves something to be desired, but it's still a nice location. read more

We finally made it to: Polcari's Bridgwaye Inn in Marshfield right on the Water and a great View too, went there for a late Valentine's Day Lunch/Dinner, we started with Mussels with Dipping Sauce and Garlic Bread, also had a big Greek Salad, for our Mains we got: I got the Shrimp Tacos with Onion Rings and the Wife got Baked Scallops with Vegetables, and Potatoes, we also got Dessert too, Strawberry Shortcake, everything was fantastic and delicious, also our Waiter Steve who was recommended by a Customer said he was the best, and boy was he ever, he did a great Job, definitely going back when the Weather is Warmer outside. read more

Big selection on the menu. Daily specials. Great food. Fair prices. Comfortable atmosphere. The back bar area can get pretty loud when busy. Great if you're partying. Not so much if you want a quieter spot. But it's a large restaurant with quieter areas if you ask and you're willing to wait a bit. Restaurant staff are friendly and accommodating and seem happy to work there. We have been going there for many years and have always had a positive experience. We have several friends from out of town who specifically want to go to the Bridgeway when they visit. Nice outdoor dining in the warmer weather. And a short walk to the beach. read more

We had a reservation for Mother's Day. Our server greeted us and took our drink order. We asked for waters all around. Cocktails were served immediately. We again asked for waters. We sat for 45 min, no water, third request for bread also ignored before our meal order was taken. An hour and a half after we sat, our meal arrived. We were told more than once when making the reservation that we would only be able to sit for two hours. I asked one of the staff handing out the meals for a pitcher of water and glasses. He relayed the message to our server who rolled her eyes and let us know she heard us. Still she did nothing. I then walked pass her, complaining to another staff member, to fetch some waters. What was the BFD? She also snapped at some in our party who were requesting more than drop of dressing in the pre packaged containers. This has been a common issue at the Bridgewaye. There is almost no restaurant competition in Humarock. They have been rapidly going down hill in their service. If you don't like it, they don't care. The prices increase and the hospitality decreases. So sad. I understand it is a busy day, but you are a service industry. Patrons pay for good food AND good service. read more

Went here for the 4th , i was told the pizza here is good . Considering it's right near the ocean i figure their seafood would be good. .i got the stuffed shrimp, the breading on the stuffing was completely burnt to a crisp, had no flavor . The shrimp was almost burnt to the bottom of the pan , super dry and no taste . My wife got a shrimp pasta dish she barely touched herself . I just don't think i could have had a worse experience . I've loved the Bridgwaye for years and years and years, so there *may* be some bias in this review . My Dad and I went here for lunch today. Since I just moved back to the area, it had been a while since my last visit. I had their famous Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza (sic), and my Dad had the Soup & Sandwich Combo - clam chowder and a generous fish sandwich with steak fries. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. He finished his chowder and sandwich and I ate a fair amount of my pizza which had a crispy crust, tender chicken, and crisp romaine. The view of the water was great, the service was solid, and the food quite tasty. Definitely recommend. read more

Came here after the Marshfield Fair. Almost everything was excellent, especially the Garlicky Mussels. Swordfish and lobster dishes a perfect 10. Only thing they could work on were the boneless Buffalo tenders. Forgettable. Atmosphere is very cool, right across from Marina. Pizza looked amazing. Can't wait to return. read more
