We had a gift card here and made our way to use it. We went early on a Saturday about 4pm when they open. We were 1 of 3 parties in the restaurant and were able to get seated right away. Overall a pretty low key vibe. We ordered our drinks and 2 pizzas from our waitress. We were able to watch them making our pizza which is a hit with the kids. It did take a bit for the pizza to be made, which was fine, but our waitress didn't come back. They all seemed to be standing around at the hosttest station, so I went over to ask if we could have a refill on our drinks. The pizza was excellent. This place is the best little gem! I'm not a big pizza person but my son and husband are. They LOVE their pizza! I get the chicken parm everytime I go. It's perfection. It's thin. It's crispy. The sauce is done right. They give you extra sauce. You do order the pasta separate I love that they have Shirley Temples "as I don't drink alcohol". The other really cool thing is actually not food related but a feature. They have a little creek that runs under the building! You can visit it behind the building near the parking lot. Ordered takeout for my family & neighbors that were over. Ya know, decent pizza that we can get & eat rather QUICKLY (kids crying and all) since I was willing to drive and pick it ip. The online ordering platform is great as it tells you when the pizza will be ready -- technology, convenience and customer service -- what a great thing. But see technology requires proper input from humans who bare responsibility for how accurate it is. No such human works at A3. So arriving 10 minutes late I expected to be in and out. Unexpectedly, 15 to 20 people were in line and it was chaotic while people complained and some even left. My pizzas were finished 10 min ago, so I figured those folks were a bit dramatic and as soon as I could flag down staff they'd get my my order. 3 staff members later, 32 minutes later, I was handed my $55 order. Without an apology for lack of understanding customer service, operations, technology, social tact, massive wait, etc. Without communication to patrons and a disregard for them almost outright entirely, the line is draw. All restaraunt's plan for the busiest scenarios that have the least impact on their guests -- except A3 I guess. Now, my neighbors have had to leave and I've just lost 45 min (+30 for the drive) I'll never get back. And my neighbors aren't thrilled either. But as anyone would, I'll blame A3, and thus a ripple affect will occur. Customers are always first. Be open and transparent and at least pretend you care and have compassion. read more

I recently tried A3 last weekend for takeout. The dipping sauces for the pizza are incredible! I am not usually a crust eater but with the dips, I certainly will be. Charred crispy with bitter, ashy bubbles that play off a slightly sweet sauce and uber savory toppings... can a licensed pizzaiolo tell me what style this would be? Don't lie, because I'll believe you and I'll seek it out until the end of time. Bacon gets added in torn, well-rendered rashers, pineapple (it's my wife's favorite - don't @ me) is lain upon cheese in full ring glory, and the fresh jalapeño brings a grassy heat, and I loved it. Found out about this place from phantom gourmet. Worth the drive. The meatballs were my absolute favorite. Came out sizzling hot, perfect consistency with a beautiful dollop of ricotta. We got the Angry Pizza, pepperoni with hot honey. Garlic bread was beautiful, soft buttery and crisp at the same time. The chicken parm was a bit too well done for thin for us, but absolutely still delicious abs worth eating. We came out for the lasagna but unfortunately it was no longer on the menu. So far we can just review the Angry pepperoni pizza which is top notch and my wife, who grew up in Gloucester, Mass with plenty of Italian restaurants, says it may be her all time favorite pizza. The crust is air and crispy and thinnish while the sauce and cheese are perfect too. We dined in and also enjoyed the pizza on take out. We intend to try to the Sunday family meal very soon and the chicken parmesan looks INCREDIBLE too. We've been to A3 a few times now and we absolutely love it! Typically pizza spots only offer 1 or 2 types of white sauce pizzas and as a white sauce pizza eater, that can get boring. Pizza here is excellent. Definitely as good if not better than Mamma Mia's Pizza in Kingston. The crust was near-perfect. My only complaint is with the salad we got. It was an anti-pasto salad and it was a little weird. Don't get me wrong it tasted okay once we put it together, but at first it was a little off-putting. The pizza was just okay to say the least, sauce to cheese ratio was very inadequate, and the crust was so crispy and hard it broke into a million shards upon a simple fold. Wow, delicious. Fun vibe. Awesome crew. A seat at the kitchen-facing bar is entertaining. My wife and I ordered the California Crostoni, a pasta and a parm. Everything was better-than-delicious and the eggplant parmesan was outstanding - a little thick (in a good way), cooked to perfection and not at all oily. The menu leans toward family style--pastas and parms are à la carte, portions are big but not ridiculous, and they're probably better shared. So we took a few weeks off from ordering here because it was getting popular and they were starting to get really slow with takeout orders. Gave them a chance tonight. Placed an online order at 645 requesting pizza be ready by 7. It's now 751 and my wife is still waiting there. Food is not worth this long of a wait. She says people have come in sat down, and eaten a meal in the time she's been there. Food is great, but they are too busy and disorganized to warrant returning here. Phenomenal pizza and quality food. After seeing A3 on phantom gourmet, me and the Bf added it to our list of places to try and I am glad we did. We started with the meatballs which were solid and you can tell that the meat used is high quality. The sauce was very flavorful and the crostini was perfectly toasted and soft to soak up the sauce. Then we got the arrabbiata angry pizza which was so great. A perfect balance of flavors. The crust is perfect. The pizza is not too saucy or cheesy. The pepperonis are delicious and the hot honey adds a great layer of complexity to the pizza. Honestly one of the better pizzas I have had and i promise it won't disappoint. Our absolute favorite pizza, pasta and parm, we are so lucky it is only 10 minutes away. We order the Angry John and a white cheese pizza ..cut into small slices for little hands , Caesar salads . Their Caesar dressing is the best we've ever had and my 20 year old asked for it for Christmas. Our food is always hot, delicious. The Sunday Dinner with Chick park is a must. I have given A3 a half dozen chances and it is just so inconsistent, hit or miss with both food and service. I attended the soft opening which was a frenzy as to be expected, I was hooked on the hot goat cheese and honey, to die for, the pizza and service that night was ok, but again it was a soft opening. Subsequent visits always resulted in poor service, waitstaff were pleasant but inattentive and ill informed. I brought friends who were visiting from out of town, we ordeted drinks, waited, waited, waited...the place is small we watched as our waitress hung out speaking to other patrons or maybe the owner, I finally went to the bar to get drinks and that caused an "issue" with the waitress feeling slighted. 20 minutes later she dropped our appetizers, still no drinks. It was awkward and uncomfortable, pizzas were actually good that night, not burnt like previously, but still the service really makes me question whether I will be back. read more

I wish I could give A3 a 5 star like I originally had on their Facebook page, however my last 3 experiences have been less then stellar. The last takeout experience last Sunday was the straw that broke the camels back, and I will not be returning. The food is great, the service leaves much to be desired. I placed a takeout order at 5:28 pm on Sunday, was given a 30 min pick up window. I arrived 10 minutes after my original given time, and was told it would be another 10 minutes, fine. I've worked in the service industry so I understand being understaffed etc, the point is, in the service industry time management is also of the essence. At this point it is 6:20 after the extra 10 min delay. I wait an additional 5 minutes and then ask how much longer it will be....and am told another 10 minutes. Meanwhile I hear either one of the cooks or a manager not sure which, yelling at the hostesses to tell everyone "pick up is more then an hour"...very unprofessional and I honestly felt badly for the girls in the front, who were unfortunately taking the brunt of the customers frustration. At the end of the day I finally left with my food at 6:48 pm, so, 48 minutes past my original given pick up time. Pizza was cold, and was supposed to be half cheese and half pepperoni, was only pepperoni. Sorry A3 but I think you can do better then that. read more

The first time I attempted to place an order at A3, the staff must have overwhelmed with orders. They presumably had shut down their answering system without activating a mechanism that would have informed callers that they weren't taking additional orders. After (foolishly) staying on the line for 20+ minutes, being told by recording that I was second in line, I hung up. My thought at the time was that they clearly didn't need my business when there were many that did. After being prompted by friends to give them another chance, I did. I ordered a pizza, prepaid with a generous tip included, picked it up at the appointed time, and headed home. My second mistake of the day was not inspecting it. When I arrived home, I found the pizza to be so overcooked that biting into the crust could have broken a tooth. So, since there will not be a third mistake made, there's no need to call and rant. Clearly, there isn't anyone on scene, every day, who cares enough to monitor how things are being done. If you do take a chance, be sure to inspect your purchase before leaving. read more
