I went in to have a pair of linen pants hemmed. No complaints from me. They were fast and accurate on my length, even without my shoes.

He was able to take a new suit and shorten every aspect of it over a weekend for a funeral I needed to attend. I brought it in Saturday morning and picked it up Monday afternoon. I ordered a cute coat made by the brand Tulle online for only 32 bucks. But to my disappointment was too big. I loved the coat and the color. I looked up a couple of tailor shops and decided to go with Cruz because it was so close to my home. Took the coat in on a tuesday and was helped by the owner who was very helpful and was familiar with the brand name of the coat. Price was a little higher than I expected but he explained that he had to take the coat apart from each side along with the lining, so it made sense. My coat was ready by friday and fit perfectly and done with excellent craftsmanship. Was worth the price. Will definitely use them again. read more

I came here this week and I needed a tailor before I had an interview. One of the individuals named Pablo measured my suit, a suit that I bought for only $60. However, he charged me $130 for the suit, and that was only the top part. I asked him why it was so much and he said it was usually that price and I said how when the suit is only $60 worth. After not knowing about suits or tailoring, I felt he was trying to rip me off because my friends said they got their suits tailored for less than $50 with all of the things they needed tailored in their suits. Ultimately, I decided to call the tailor and I spoke with Miguel, who said I could get the suit back and get a refund. However, they had already worked on the sleeves (all they did was shorten it by like one inch) and charged me $35 for it....$35 for a small detail yet the suit is only $60. I was disappointed because I did not want anything tailored at the end and called literally 30 minutes after to cancel but they had already "worked on the sleeves" yet for some reason they said to come 4 hours later. Seriously wishing I could have my money back and am still disappointed. read more

They created an amazing pair of black pants for me, and I loved them so much I asked for two additional pair in different patterns. They created them, fit them to me, and they are fantastic! I wish I could give 6 stars for Cruz Tailors! I decided to go with Cruz based on the great reviews. I needed a bra altered- it was a 36DD, and I am a 32E (36DD is the sister-size). Of course, you would have to go to a bra specialty shop to have one custom made in that size. The reviews for the custom-made bra stores weren't that great, not to mention the prices were outrageous!! So I just went and purchased 2 bras at Victoria's Secret, both $50. The girl at Vic.Secret suggested tha I have them altered. I searched specfically for "bra alterations" online, and had no luck. So I went with the best reviews for custom alterations on Yelp, which ended up being Cruz tailors. I called and spoke with Mr. Cruz and explained my crazy bra size situation- he was super nice and professional on the phone. We set up a time to meet and do the whole fitting thing. After the fitting, he explained how he was going to do it (pretty much reconstruct the entire bra). I brought it in yesterday (Wednesday) and he personally called me this morning (Thursday) and told me he had one finished...that's QUICK!!! When I picked it up I could not even tell the bra had been cut, sewn, etc.!! IT WAS PERFECT!! So, for two bras I paid $100 at Victorias Secret, and $50 for AWESOME alterations (total). That's $150 for two bras- the price I would have paid for ONE bra at a custom bra shop! I told him he should include this (bra alterations) in his advertisements/website. There are so many women who settle for a bra that doesn't fit properly. Eventhough Mr. Cruz specializes in wedding dresses, mens suits, and other common alterations, I am 100% confident he could alter anything and it would be perfect!! read more

Just left Cruz custom tailors and I'm pretty disappointed. I came here because I saw they had really great reviews from both men and women who have gotten alterations and suits etc. I came in to see if I could get some measurements for a dress I'm ordering for a wedding. I walked in and there was a little girl working in the front. I told her I was here to get some measurements done and she said "ok" she went in the back and I'm assuming went to tell someone in the back. We waited about 5 minutes and then she came out and said "sorry" and I was like "oh that's ok" thinking she meant sorry for the wait. Then she stared at me and I was like "are they going to do it?" And she said "sorry no" and I was like "sorry no, as in they don't do it?" And she was like "yeah, sorry no they dont". Which doesn't makes senses because this is a tailor/alterations place and there were a bunch of dresses inside. So CLEARLY they can do it,Just didn't want to. I walked out and went into the cleaners next door and asked if they possibly did measurements and he was like "we don't, but there's a Tailor next door that does" and I said "yeah apparently they don't." He even looked confused and was like "they TAILOR." So anyway I'm bummed because we have been looking for a good tailor/alterations place for a while and this place is so convenient because I work in downtown. Oh well. read more

I had to get my bridesmaid dress shortened and was looking for somewhere great because I didn't want it messed up. I ended up finding this place with great reviews, it's not near where I live at all. But as long as they did a good job I was willing to drive a distance. I went in and they made their marks and was told my dress would be ready the following Wednesday, I even clarified, "Anytime Wednesday ?". The man confirmed "Yes, anytime." Okay I thought, fantastic. Wednesday rolled around and I drove down around 2pm and to my surprise the dress was still being work on. The man offered for me to wait but I'd rather them not rush and had other places to be ....since this was way out of my way I was pretty annoyed. I told him I'd be back Thursday or Friday. As I was leaving he offered to take off 10%. Came back Friday and waited behind 2 girls(who didn't have their ticket). The man could not find their dress and it took awhile for him to finally tell them that. They explained when they brought it in and then he knew where it was, it wasn't ready yet so they went somewhere to wait. My dress was fine and he gave me $10 discount, however I had a long dress and the bag covering it was too short....ehhh. All in all they hemmed my dress. I guess if you are going to count on something to be done when they say so....be prepared to walk in and it isn't ready. I personally don't mind if something takes an extra day, but please don't waste my time. read more

So amazing and excellent customer service ! I had a vest that I had tailored at another location and the day I was supposed to pick it up it wasn't even there ! I was so upset and in a panic because it was for an important meeting . I called Cruz's custom tailor at 5 and they closed at 6. I explained to them my situation and Carlos told me to come on in and they would take care of me . You can only imagine how relieved I was ! They took such good care of me and stayed 45 min past closing time to finish my vest for me . I had my dress tailored here for my wedding. All I can say is wow! He completely transformed my dress and made it even more beautiful than it was. I've never had to get such a drastic alteration but my dress which was custom made was six sizes too small in the back and would not zip up. I had a lace dress and was so upset that I may not be able to wear it. He not only made it fit but he also was able to do other alterations that I requested. The first time I saw the dress in its new size I couldn't find where he took the extra fabric from. Everyone who had helped me in finding a dress was so happy to know id be able to wear it.
