If I could, this would be no stars. The owner took my child's graduation outfit, a pair of slacks and a button up shirt, and has now lost the shirt. He claims we took it with us. We clearly didn't, our receipt shows we left it with him and paid in full before we left. His only solution was to hand my child a bagged shirt that we don't even know will fit, as an alternative, with no alterations for it. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Especially if you have an important event that you NEED the clothes YOU already paid for and brought in! I have never received this level of customer service before from any tailor. I came here because a friend of mine highly recommended this tailor. Boy was she mistaken. I brought in two articles of clothing, a pair of overalls I wanted turned into shorts and a dress I wanted taken in and pockets to be added. The overalls look like a disaster! He make them shorts but he added darts to the legs. And the hem on the shorts were a disaster too. He sewed extra fabric and the hem wasn't pressed properly it was falling apart. The dress was a nightmare all he did was make darts all over the dress and and overcharge me for work my 9 year old could've done. The pockets were a joke. The material he used was cheap and he didn't even sew them correctly because they came undone while trying them on. The bottom line is he's lazy. I should have trusted the one stars here on yelp. Completely dishonest work and gaslighting to the customer. He should get zero stars. I brought a pair of nice pants to him and asked for adjustment in the crotch. When I went to pick it up the waist was shrunk by 2 inches. There are clear stitchings and he took out a belt hook clearly. He swears he did not take in the waist at all. And he has the audacity to say he will charge me an extra but a discounted price to adjust the waist. I cross-checked his work with a reputable tailor and they were flabbergasted, because he clearly shrunk the waist. I do not appreciate gaslighting customers let it be known to the Yelp world. Recently had some small alterations done to a jacket and jersey. Luis(I believe was his name) was delightful and charming. When sizing the jacket and jersey for alterations he was so careful with the pins and gave suitable suggestions. After noticing that my four hundred dollar leather jacket had a tear, I made some calls to see who can repair it. I called several leather goods stores, my dry cleaners, and they all recommended I should take it to Precision Tailor in Riverside. But before taking it over there, I read the reviews and Precision Tailor has really Good Reviews. When I got there, Don Luis, Owner/Tailor was very friendly, looked like a very seasoned, and professional tailor. I then showed him where the tear was on the leather jacket. In a matter of seconds, he let me know he can repair it, gave me a really comfortable estimate, and a pick-up date. He said, "when you pick up your jacket, your jacket will look like it never had a tear." WOW!!! Ok. When I went to pick up my leather jacket, Don Luis challenged me to look for the tear and was not kidding. My leather jacket looked like it never had a tear on it. OUTSTANDING WORK DON LUIS! I was so pleased with the work he did, I even tipped him. Don Luis is a True PRECISION TAILOR & EXECUTES PRECISION TAILORING. Now if he was able to successfully repair my leather jacket and make it look like it never had a tear; I feel a peace he can handle everything else. I lost a great amount of weight over the last couple of years and had more than 10 suits that needed tailoring to my new lower weight for a reasonable price. Luis tailored each suit and did a better job than the original tailor working for the retail store. He also was able to tailor some expensive white shirts to fit to my new size. I've been coming here for the past year or so. All my garments come out exactly the way I want them to. The turnaround is fast and the owner/tailor is extremely knowledgeable. I recently dropped off two pants that needed hemming and tapered and I brought a pants to model off on and he executed with precision. He make sure that everything is tip top before I leave the shop. The guy is getting older, should get out of this business. Told me whether it is a $99.00 suit or a $2,000.00, it makes no difference to him. My advise to those who take business there is to never take anything for him to alter that is more than $50.00 worth. I took a $1,500 suit to him that he screwed up. Whether it is waist adjustment on a pant or it is suit coat sleeves, he is cheap and maintains no quality in work. Don't get into his trap, "satisfaction guaranteed or I would fix it for free". That is when he would do additional damage by leaving spots of unknown origin all over, on top of completely screwing things up. Don't pay cash!! read more

I came to Precision Tailoring around October end of the week to drop by my lingerie top. I meet this guy who works for Precision Tailoring and he was nice, gesture and very understanding what I want to expect my lingerie top to be done. He told me to come on November 3rd. I was been waiting for almost one week until the day November 3rd. You know I was very excited to see my lingerie top for the modeling and end up the same guy show me was DEVASTATED ruin my favorite lingerie top because I asked him to make it smaller to fit my breast but the both size are different (you noticed left is big and right is small). The sewing is not very neat and easily to notice the mess of the line. I paid $14 and walk out with awful feelings :( i regret not to come here again. The guy I meet I am pretty sure he really skilled at other than this. I wish he told me if he honest can't do these sew then I would prefer to find other alternative sewing place who can perfect sew the excellent of my lingerie top. read more

I took a tumble down the courthouse steps and put a nice hole in the right sleeve of my suit jacket. I went to where I bought it to see if it could be fixed, but they told me it needed to be reweaved. They directed me to a place that was out of business. I did a Yelp search and found this business. At first, I thought they were a bit on the expensive side, but when I went to pick up the coat, I could not find where the hole even was. It was incredible! had a wedding to attend and pulled out my favorite suit. while trying it on, saw something horrific on my suit pants. moth holes. omg, i've never experienced this before. my first attempted was to locate a replacement from same brand, no luck. then i read there's a reweaving option but expensive. well the pants was expensive so if i didn't repair it, the entire suit is useless due to the print. found precision tailoring on yelp and the reviews were positive so i gave it a try. the man was very knowledgeable. the reweaving quote was high but based on the location of the holes, he had another idea that would cost less. my concern was whether the repair would be noticeable; he guaranteed that it wouldn't. when i picked up, he was right. the fix was great and at a better cost because of his recommendation. i'm very satisfied and would use him again. read more

I got a second hand suit from someone I didn't know, and though the measurements were pretty close to mine, I had to get it tailored to fix a tear in the suit jacket lining, narrow up the pant legs and the sleeves of the jacket, lengthen the pant legs and slim down the torso on the suit jacket. DO NOT trust this business! I had a trip to Europe planned and needed a zipper on a dress repaired that I needed to have for my trip. I dropped the dress off on Friday and the owner told me it would be done on Tuesday, but late in the afternoon. I was leaving at 3:00 am Wednesday morning, and when I showed up a half hour before closing, the door was locked and no one was answering the phone. The phone was picking up a fax, so I faxed them to let them know I was standing outside waiting, and no response...needless to say, I did not get my dress in time for my trip, I was devastated! read more

Those that gave a negative review for here I'm not sure who they were dealing with. I have been taking all my suits and my families clothes her for altering for years and he always does a great job. And the few times I needed a change he did so without a gripe or extra charge. My son and his wife and my daughter and her husband have all taken their suits and dresses here. Both of my daughters had their wedding dresses altered here. He is always kind and humble. The review about the door being locked and him not answering the phone...I asked him and at the time he had had a heart attack and was in the hospital about to have quadruple by pass surgery! 5 stars! I was so happy with my dress. It was ready on time and altered perfectly. I needed a long evening gown shortened a bit because it was dragging on the floor and it was perfect! You could see my toes in front and in back it was just a hair above the floor. I was so nervous it wasn't going to be ready on time because of past experiences. He was kind, patient, and I think the price was reasonable, especially for the level of professionalism I received.
