I went here to see surfer girl and I was very pleased with the venue it's small and you can get up close with the bands it's so cool. Also look up the wood ceiling is awesome!! The front desk lady was beyond helpful and there is free covered parking

I was very impressed with this venue inside the Crystal Bay Casino. It had a beautifully decorated tree with changing lights right as you enter. I really liked the layout: the bar was large and a huge rectangle with 4 or 5 bartenders working so you didn't have to wait very long to get served, remember they do know whom has tipped generously, who was cheap and whom stiffed them completely! I know of which I speak since my fam owned several bars in Chicago and Wisconsin so would " guest" bartend from time to time... I would get fired pretty quickly tho :))) The concert was really great and the venue was not over crowded so it was easy to mill around and change locations. The only bad thing that happened was a fight broke out behind us and my foot got stomped on pretty hard, I found the biggest, broadest man and hid behind him. It was over super quickly so props to the security that was working that night. It was standing room only so after about 2 hours we were ready to bolt and beat the traffic and crowd leaving. I definitely would come back to this venue again for a future concert.

Cool lights in the concert hall!!

Saw the California Honeydrops last night and we had a blast! I haven't seen them perform in 10 years and they put on a great show at Crystal Bay! Loved the atmosphere in the concert hall/ bar, a little packed but it was a sold out show. If you hang in the back of the room it's not so congested. Loved the feel of the place, i hadn't been to Crystal Bay in 27 years and it hadn't changed much, which i think is a good thing. With the Biltmore and Cal Neva gone, it's good to see Crystal Bay still going strong. We gambled , played video poker at the bar and drank cocktails before and after the show. Had a wonderful dinner at the steakhouse( see separate review) and just had a great evening that kept us up till 1:00am. Band played from 8:00-11:15 with an 30 minute intermission which i thought was pretty cool. I drove my Mercedes Sprinter van up there and partied all night and parked in the lot out back and crashed in the van. Dinner, concert and camping up at the lake in January!! Players club staff was very friendly, Restaurant was great, casino was fun!! I think now as a 49 year old i appreciate the funky old casinos that i didn't think were as cool when i was 22, Now i prefer smaller cozier spots and don't like the bigger, busier casinos.

Travis and team are amazing here! You can tell everything is fresh made and if you're looking for a beautiful sit down with great service... stop here. I would have never ordered seafood but Travis suggested and he just made me fall in love with it again!

My wife and I had high hopes when we read that Crystal Bay Club had both an electronic craps table and a live table. Unfortunately, the Thursday night we went. They did not have enough staff to man the craps table or either one, so both were closed. I was surprised that the table limit was at $15 regardless. I might as well head to the big 4 casinos near the stateline.

Crystal Bay Club and casino is a fun place to spend some time playing the slot machines. They also offer music concerts and comedy shows too. Love the light up trees throughout the casino floor. This casino is a bit older and dated however it still serves its purposes. FYI this is not a smoke free casino Casino is an average size with slot machines and gaming tables so you can choose which one makes you feel lucky. Tonight seamed like a slow night as there very few people in Need to return and try out the lobster and steakhouse. I hear it worth trying and the food is good.

Crystal Bay Crown Room is one of our fave music venues!! I mean you can always try your luck at black jack, roulette, craps or slot machines but for us CBC brings us back over & over for the ahhhmazing music experience with terrific acts!! The Crown Room is mostly standing room only with a circular bar towards back of the venue by sound & lighting. There is a magical fiber optic light tree that changes colors that seems to dance along with each act. With hardwood floors in what was once an old bowling alley with open ceiling and large fans to circulate air for capacity of 750 concert goers - you are in for a treat for top comedy acts and epic bands. We have rocked out andd danced the night away to some killer concerts: Jackie Greene, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Petty Theft, Brent Cobb & Hailey Whitters , Creeper's Ball w/Tainted Love, ALO Concert w/Anna Moss, Buffalo Moses and Rachael McElhiney, Xiutezcati, Loud As Folk w/Willy Tea Taylor, The Allman Betts Band w/Marc Ford & Jackson Stokes Grab tickets is super easy, just jump online choose one of the GREAT shows or go to the box office today and then head on over to CBC before the show to enjoy a bite to eat in the fabulous Steakhouse or try YOUR luck on one of the table games...see you on the dance floor.

Had so much fun at the CBC when I lived down here. They have killer concerts and this was a great place if you felt like dropping some dough in the slot machines. I liked that my local friends would hang out here. Quiet here today on a Saturday. A few folks playing the machines. Easy access, I am told they have a great steakhouse - have to put it on my list of "go tos". Servers ask if you'd like a drink. Friendly people.

Crystal Bay Club is a classic old casino in Crystal Bay. It has been here a long time and has seen better days but it still can be fun. Several renovations in recent years have kept this casino going on. Has concerts often by well known acts. There's also a pretty okay place to eat inside. It mostly has slots but there's a few table games. Kind of old looking even though it has had several renovations. There's a typical casino stench. Slots are mostly new along with a few that are older. They have a few blackjack tables lined up in the middle of the floor, but these weren't getting much action the last time. It has a pretty big bar. There's a restaurant with typical casino food like burgers and steaks. Best thing is probably the Crown Room, where there's concerts. It often has recognizable performers and the sound is pretty good. Even though there's no attached rooms, there's a related motel pretty close by. It overall is a good casino. There's a fairly decent restaurant and a pretty good music venue.

    Unique touches, furniture and decorations!

Between the many complimentary amenities and thoughtful touches, I felt the premium price was well worth it. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Alec at the front desk. He immediately offered us water, champagne, or apple juice, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. He was kind, personable, and genuinely enthusiastic as he shared everything the Hyatt has to offer. His excitement was contagious, and he made a wonderful first impression. The bell service was also excellent. They quickly unloaded our luggage upon arrival and made both check-in and check-out seamless. It was another thoughtful convenience that helped set the tone for a relaxing stay. We chose a first-floor room with a patio that opened directly to the pool area, and it ended up being one of the best decisions we made. It made going back and forth between the room and the pool incredibly easy, especially with children. Some of our favorite amenities and thoughtful touches included: The Hyatt provides cloth wristbands that serve as your room key, giving you access to your room, the pool, and other resort areas. This was one of our favorite features! We never had to worry about carrying a key card, and the wristbands stayed on comfortably throughout showers and swimming. Water refill stations are conveniently located throughout the resort. The casino is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Lockers stocked with towels are located outside of the hotel for easy access when leaving for the beach. There are a couple of beautiful beaches just across the street, only a 2-3 minute walk away. The concierge service was outstanding. I can't remember the young man's name, but he helped us on Tuesday, August 4. If management knows who was working that day, please extend our sincere thanks. He explained the complimentary kayaking, directed us to the beach, and arranged shuttle transportation. His customer service was exceptional. Although the Hyatt beach is temporarily closed for construction, the resort has arranged access to nearby private beaches for guests. They also run a shuttle every few minutes, making it very easy to get around. If you're looking for a livelier atmosphere, the public beach is only a short drive away. The pools were wonderful. The main pool is heated to approximately 80-85°F and features a fun cave area. There's also a kiddie pool, plus separate hot tubs for adults and children. Poolside service was an added bonus. Every evening from 5:00-10:00 p.m., the resort provides complimentary s'mores kits that can be enjoyed in a fire pit near the pool area. This was such a fun family activity and one of those little touches that made the stay feel extra special. The café opens at 6:30 a.m., and if you order regular brewed coffee, you receive complimentary refills until 10:00 p.m. that evening, a great perk for coffee lovers. The only area that fell short for us was the food. Most of what we ordered was fairly heavy and greasy. To be fair, there is a Cyclospora outbreak in the US, so we chose not to order fresh salads, fruits, or vegetables out of an abundance of caution, which limited our options. The main restaurant "cutthroat saloon" had live music which made dinner enjoyable. There are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby, however, and we didn't get the opportunity to try Osteria Sierra, which may have been a better dining choice. My only other criticism involves one interaction with room service. After providing my room number, I asked if I could order room service, and the employee replied, "Well, that's why you called, didn't you?" It came across as unnecessarily sarcastic and unwelcoming. It was an isolated interaction, but it stood out because every other staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and professional. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The resort itself is beautiful, the amenities are outstanding, and the customer service especially from Alec at the front desk, the concierge, and the bell staff was exceptional. We would absolutely consider staying here again

They reviewed the trail map with me and gave me route recommendations based on the trail conditions following a week of heavy snow. The center is equipped with hot water and clean restrooms. The conditions here seem to deteriorate with each passing year. First, the resort's mobile app is extremely unreliable. The app often indicates that certain trails have just been groomed by snowcats, yet when I actually go to ski them, I discover that several runs clearly haven't seen a groomer in days. This dissemination of false information is not only misleading but also jeopardizes skier safety and severely detracts from the overall guest experience. Furthermore, last month, the Comstock lift experienced frequent operational failures, attributable to staff handling, which clearly demonstrates an urgent need for professional staff training. Second, the management here appears to be extremely lax. During the early morning hours a time when operational efficiency should be at its absolute peak, staff members were observed sitting around chatting in plain sight, completely neglecting their duties. This lackadaisical attitude projects an image of extreme unprofessionalism to the public. Worse still, a male employee working at the ski lifts displayed a rude and highly aggressive attitude. This abysmal level of customer service is absolutely unacceptable, particularly at a ski resort that is supposed to prioritize the "guest experience" above all else. In summary, this was a deeply disappointing experience. Management must take full responsibility for the current situation and immediately implement measures to effectively enhance staff training and supervision. I hope the next ski season brings with it a completely renewed experience.
