The Crystal Bay Club is easy to find on Hwy 28 at the Nevada & California state line. We've been visiting the CBC, everytime we visit the North Shore of LakeTahoe for the last 53 years. We always have fun at this locally owned casino. Great over the top friendly staff and very good food at a reasonable price in their eateries. For the sports fans there are 40+ TV's. Even the customers are friendly and this casino always makes for a good time. They have their own attached parking garage. read more

I visited Crystal Bay Club during Memorial Day Weekend 2026 and left disappointed with the overall experience. The casino itself is relatively small and felt quiet during my visit. On the positive side, there was a wide variety of slot machines and gaming options available, and I never had to wait for a machine. However, I found the gaming experience to be frustrating. I spent quite a bit of time and money playing without seeing much in the way of bonuses, entertainment, or meaningful wins, which made the experience feel more like feeding machines than having fun. The biggest issue, however, was my interaction at the cashier cage. When I went to withdraw additional funds, the employee processing the transaction began offering unsolicited commentary about how I was choosing to access money from my debit and credit cards. As an adult who is fully capable of managing my own finances, I found the interaction unprofessional and inappropriate. Eventually, I had to politely ask that he simply process the transaction and leave my financial decisions to me. Customer service can make or break an experience, and unfortunately this interaction left a lasting negative impression. Between the lackluster gaming experience and the uncomfortable encounter at the cashier cage, I don't see myself returning and would have a difficult time recommending this casino to others. read more

I left my credit card at the Crystal Bay Club on July 26. When I finally reached someone, I was told they had already shredded it on August 2--just one week later. I had also left a voicemail regarding the missing card and never received a return call. A business handling customers' credit cards should have a clear process for securing lost cards, documenting attempts to contact the owner, and responding promptly when someone calls looking for one. Instead, my card was destroyed, nobody contacted me, and my voicemail was ignored. There are plenty of other great places around Lake Tahoe to spend your money and see live music. Based on how this was handled, I will not be returning to the Crystal Bay Club. read more

I was very impressed with this venue inside the Crystal Bay Casino. It had a beautifully decorated tree with changing lights right as you enter. I really liked the layout: the bar was large and a huge rectangle with 4 or 5 bartenders working so you didn't have to wait very long to get served, remember they do know whom has tipped generously, who was cheap and whom stiffed them completely! I know of which I speak since my fam owned several bars in Chicago and Wisconsin so would " guest" bartend from time to time... I would get fired pretty quickly tho :))) The concert was really great and the venue was not over crowded so it was easy to mill around and change locations. The only bad thing that happened was a fight broke out behind us and my foot got stomped on pretty hard, I found the biggest, broadest man and hid behind him. It was over super quickly so props to the security that was working that night. It was standing room only so after about 2 hours we were ready to bolt and beat the traffic and crowd leaving. Saw the California Honeydrops last night and we had a blast! I haven't seen them perform in 10 years and they put on a great show at Crystal Bay! Loved the atmosphere in the concert hall/ bar, a little packed but it was a sold out show. If you hang in the back of the room it's not so congested. Loved the feel of the place, i hadn't been to Crystal Bay in 27 years and it hadn't changed much, which i think is a good thing. With the Biltmore and Cal Neva gone, it's good to see Crystal Bay still going strong. We gambled , played video poker at the bar and drank cocktails before and after the show. Had a wonderful dinner at the steakhouse( see separate review) and just had a great evening that kept us up till 1:00am. Band played from 8:00-11:15 with an 30 minute intermission which i thought was pretty cool. I drove my Mercedes Sprinter van up there and partied all night and parked in the lot out back and crashed in the van. Dinner, concert and camping up at the lake in January!! Players club staff was very friendly, Restaurant was great, casino was fun!! I think now as a 49 year old i appreciate the funky old casinos that i didn't think were as cool when i was 22, Now i prefer smaller cozier spots and don't like the bigger, busier casinos. read more

The Crystal Bay Club has managed to stay alive. It's beautifully appointed and very clean. We were there during a quiet time and disappointed to see that the roulette table was not staffed. Call before going to see what is staffed so you won't be disappointed. We were excited to meet friends in the dining room for dinner before a show; but had to back out when we saw the menu prices. OUCH!!!! We bought tickets at the ticket booth to see ALO in the Crown Room. They definitely should have mentioned it was a STANDING VENUE ONLY. 80 year oldsters ought to be offered a chair! In any case, I recommend a sign by the ticket booth that the venue has NO CHAIRS. There is a parking lot and garage with convenient entry. read more

My wife and I had high hopes when we read that Crystal Bay Club had both an electronic craps table and a live table. Unfortunately, the Thursday night we went. They did not have enough staff to man the craps table or either one, so both were closed. I was surprised that the table limit was at $15 regardless. Crystal Bay Club and casino is a fun place to spend some time playing the slot machines. They also offer music concerts and comedy shows too. Love the light up trees throughout the casino floor. This casino is a bit older and dated however it still serves its purposes. FYI this is not a smoke free casino Casino is an average size with slot machines and gaming tables so you can choose which one makes you feel lucky. Tonight seamed like a slow night as there very few people in Need to return and try out the lobster and steakhouse. I hear it worth trying and the food is good. read more

Crystal Bay Crown Room is one of our fave music venues!! I mean you can always try your luck at black jack, roulette, craps or slot machines but for us CBC brings us back over & over for the ahhhmazing music experience with terrific acts!! The Crown Room is mostly standing room only with a circular bar towards back of the venue by sound & lighting. There is a magical fiber optic light tree that changes colors that seems to dance along with each act. With hardwood floors in what was once an old bowling alley with open ceiling and large fans to circulate air for capacity of 750 concert goers - you are in for a treat for top comedy acts and epic bands. Had so much fun at the CBC when I lived down here. They have killer concerts and this was a great place if you felt like dropping some dough in the slot machines. I liked that my local friends would hang out here. Quiet here today on a Saturday. A few folks playing the machines. Crystal Bay Club is a classic old casino in Crystal Bay. It has been here a long time and has seen better days but it still can be fun. Several renovations in recent years have kept this casino going on. Has concerts often by well known acts. There's also a pretty okay place to eat inside. It mostly has slots but there's a few table games. Kind of old looking even though it has had several renovations. There's a typical casino stench. Slots are mostly new along with a few that are older. They have a few blackjack tables lined up in the middle of the floor, but these weren't getting much action the last time. It has a pretty big bar. There's a restaurant with typical casino food like burgers and steaks. Best thing is probably the Crown Room, where there's concerts. It often has recognizable performers and the sound is pretty good. Even though there's no attached rooms, there's a related motel pretty close by. It overall is a good casino. There's a fairly decent restaurant and a pretty good music venue. read more

Playing Craps with friends. Electronic table, real dice. After 3-4 rolls, dealer pushes die, player rolls a 1-1, next roll is 6-6. They say there is a glitch, refuse to pay everyone out. Extremely rude staff between the bartenders and cashier, bartenders barely come by to give drinks to the people gambling even with a completely empty casino, dealers do nothing to engage patrons or make the tables even slightly enjoyable, and the music is extremely quiet and sounds like elevator music, and the bathrooms are dirty. If you think of gambling at Tahoe, you think of Harrah's, Harveys or maybe the more recent MontBleu. All are great hotels and casinos. But, if you're at the northern end of the lake, in a sleepy place like Kings Beach or Incline Village, there are two choices: Tahoe Biltmore, Jim Kelley's Nugget or the Crystal Club. With CalNeva shut down, there are only 3 small venue casinos at North Shore. We had tried the Biltmore, but it was dead. The Crystal Bay, though, was BUSY that same Saturday night! We came back to the Crystal Bay on Monday, and it was much less crowded. There were plenty of open machines (those massive machines that hypnotize you!, video poker options, and table games, although a lot of tables were closed due to the small crowd. Even with the small crowd, the one thing we didn't like was the smoke. Ughh - larger casinos elsewhere seem to have better HVAC systems for cleaning the air. And with COVID still around (most of the people and staff were maskless) you wonder how much COVID is floating around. So, there was that concern even though we are vaccinated. Overall, we won small, but we left our winnings behind eventually - go big or go home! We went home! This place has some nice charm and character - good décor, nice floorplan and game layout, plenty of entrances and free parking, and not a real Reno or Vegas feel. In fact, didn't see a single security officer, and never felt like we needed one on the floor. Felt like a small old-time California Indian casino. Very relaxing and fun. So, if you want a large scale commercial gaming experience, head to the Wynn in Vegas. But if you are in North Tahoe and want a small, intimate time to relax, spend some discretionary funds (and maybe win!) and just enjoy the atmosphere, we recommend the Crystal Bay. read more

Bought tickets at the casino window to see Jamestown Revival. The ticket salesman never told me it was a stand up only concert. We found out when we got there. Thankfully with a little bitchen, they have my wife a chair. I think when they are selling tickets at the window, they should tell anyone who is over 65 or has some sort of a visible handicap that it is stand up only. I learned the hard way. Come on you can do better than that. Not sure if I will ever attend another concert here. If I do it will be a sit down only. read more

My review is mainly based off going here to see Reel Big Fish play in the venue, but we spent some time at the bar before & after that and that was nice too. Personally loved the setup for bands to play here. It's a smaller, more intimate setting which I prefer. It looked great and the sound was great. I really have no complaints. RBF show goers are notoriously messy but someone was always out cleaning up the spilled beer and broken glass which helped prevent any injuries (NEVER my fault but apologies anyway). My boyfriend has seen several shows here and has always enjoyed himself, and I enjoyed my one visit here too, so I'd definitely be interested in coming back when I get the chance. This review is for the Crown Room concert venue inside the Crystal Bay. While not much of a gambler as don't always know when to hold them or when to fold them, I do love a great concert. For me a key ingredient to a memorable concert beyond the obvious, the band, is a great venue. I prefer smaller, intimate type venues were you can get close to the stage if you want or hang in the back if you prefer. Also key is an open bar with enough staff so you do not have to wait too long. Well the Crown Room checks all these boxes! It has a great vibe, and was cool inside.....literally mean they have AC and keep the temperature nice and comfortable! Saw Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven which was an awesome show made better by being in a great venue. Due to this will be checking the Crown Room regularly to see who will be playing here and will be back! read more

My sister, friend, and I visited Tahoe for a trip this last week and it was my first time in North Lake Tahoe. We visited all the casinos it had to offer and I'd have to say this one was our favorite! It was well lit, had a variety of slots, and multiple tables. Our awesome bartender, Cory, was there every night we came in and made sure we were well taken care of. We never had to wait for drinks, he was happy to take care of all our orders, and even helped us with some great tourist suggestions. I ordered the veggie burger and it was a good choice! Everything came out perfect every time which made it easy to make this our spot to go to every night after long days of hiking and kayaking. Thank you so much Cory! You do the best job! read more

Looking for fun we dropped by this place. There were less than 10 cars in the parking lot if that. We dropped 300 dollars and didn't get an extra spin on the penny machines. We should have known this place was tighter than a banjo string when it came to slots. A guy came around and offered us drinks but we didn't have a chance to get the drink because we had played our set 300 hundred limit. This place used to be at least somewhat busy. The Biltmore across the street is scheduled to be torn down. I think it's time for this place to meet its end. Famous Cal-Neva Hotel and Resort is also gone. We walked around the place and I don't know how they pay the staff and keep the lights on beside schmucks like us dropped our money there.... Go to the south shore. I admit this place must have been a "go'to" place in its time so I should say... this place is where time stood still. They have a good looking dining room and a spacious bar area. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Visited this casino in Tahoe with a group of friends for the weekend where we were initially ID'ed and hand stamped with the "21" stamp by two different employees standing at the entrance of the casino right when we walked in. However, despite this, I was repeatedly asked for ID by Bob, ( 4 times within 1 hour) the same security guard who also made inappropriate comments about my friends. Despite showing my ID multiple times, I was threatened to be put I'm handcuffs by Bob for no apparent reason and ultimately kicked out. Unfair treatment, harassment, and inappropriate behavior by Bob. I'm extremely disappointed by this experience. Do not come to this casino if you're a poc and expect to be treated fairly. My entire group felt extremely targeted and uncomfortable due to your worker Bob harassing us. Please train your employees to be better and learn how to speak to people. read more
