The peppermill is riddled with health code violations and poor food safety. The Romanza kitchen hasn't been deep cleaned since December of 2024, cafe milano has poor food safety with servers and kitchen staff serving food without gloves. If you get a drink at any of the bars the glasses haven't been cleaned and if they have it's been ran through a dishwasher that hasn't been serviced this year. They also have a bed bug infestation in the Peppermill Tower, and a mice and rat problem throughout property. And unfortunately you run the risk of really bad food poisoning from Oceano. I'd avoid any and all restaurants on property. read more

The Peppermill is a breath of fresh air, literally, for a casino. It's bright and although there was a slight whiff of cig smoke, it wan't bad at all. Not sure what type of filtration system they have but it works. We went for cocktails and to watch the Giants game at the enormous Sports Book. So many screens, from giant to 55". It was packed but our waitress Sarah, was fast and charming. We will probably stay at the Peppermill the next time we go to Reno. Well done Peppermill! read more

A desti action report, Peppermill Resort Reno has many things to offer. Our room was on the 14th floor with a nice view. Anthony checked us in, very professionally. The room was clean and accommodating with basic amenities. We used their Tuscana Spa for pedicure and massage services and lovednit. Last night we ate at Chi, their Asian fare diningroom and loved it, too. There isca Walgreens about 2 blocks to the right side of the resort, and I found it very convenient. We had coffee at their coffee shop this morning, wishing they had a Starbucks. But their coffee was very good. We watched the Marocco vs Canada game in the lobby and had a margaritas and a Cranberry Juice. The bartender was super friendly. Our children will join us tomorrow. But we like everything so far. Not fancy like Vegas, but personslized. read more

The Peppermill Resort, Spa, and Casino all got my hopes up. We booked our honeymoon here because when advertised, it seems like an appealing place to stay. They even have additional requests section on their booking page where I requested extra things like towels. We did not receive any of those requests. Room: King, Tuscany Suite with a balcony. The room was really nothing special, as time went on we began to notice more small concerns. The first was that the ottoman at the end of our bed was stained which felt off putting. Much of the furniture and room decor was dusty. It seemed like the whole room just needed a deep clean and detail because it appeared well used. The "balcony" was just a patio space with really well loved furniture. It was also funny because our view was the worker entrance/exit so we really one saw people coming to and leaving work. Casino: This was by far the worst casino I have been too. The machines had very low RTP and rarely gave bonus games. It wasn't very well kept, drink glasses would pile up and sit. The staff seemed off putting and not very helpful. The bonuses offered weren't all that great either. Pool: The pool was decent but could use better planning. My hope would be that one of the pool decks becomes a 21+ space. Adults on vacation at a "luxury" hotel don't want to swim with kids. The hot tubs were even occupied by kids which made it unenjoyable and hard to relax. Spa: We didn't even bother with the spa because I called them prior to our stay and got sent to voicemail. I left a voicemail hoping for a call back but never received one. Overall, not worth the expensive price and we will likely not return to stay at the Peppermill. read more

We unfortunately got a room in a bad location. It was really close to the elevator and ice machines so there was constant noise throughout the night. The room is very spacious and had lots of bathroom counter space. The steam shower makes it feel like you have your own personal sauna room. Cool to experience. Lots of great amenities such as a spa, two pools and a decent fitness room. We're not big on gambling so it was nice that they had a "Game Lab" aka an arcade room. This hotel has plenty of parking. They have some EV chargers but it may be difficult to get one as it's very populated. read more

This is the only hotel that I will stay at in Reno. I have been here many many times over the past few years. It's a quick getaway with a beautiful drive from Cali! I have stayed in the Peppermill Tower primarily, however the Tuscany Tower is nice. The hotel rooms are nice in both towers. The food is decent at every restaurant that I have been, although I have not tried all of them. I have my favorites and you can't go wrong with any of them, honestly. Peppermill was amazing during the Bug Fire evacuations. They reduced the rate for those of us who found themselves displaced, and they were the only hotel that took dogs. What an absolute blessing! The staff were professional, yet very nice. When we checked in, I was very stressed, and the gal who checked us in kept calm and did not get flustered in any way from my stress. I wish I had gotten her name so she could get the proper credit. The room was clean and well maintained. The amenities were amazing though we were too exhausted to take advantage of them. Speaking to other guests, there was nothing but how wonderful their stay was. I would highly recommend Peppermill, they provide lots to do and a relaxing environment. On a last-minute trip to visit my dad in Reno, we booked the Peppermill Resort since that's where he was staying. We have two kids, so we were happy to see that the hotel is kid-friendly and even has an arcade and a heated pool, which was perfect for winter. Unfortunately, we traveled during a storm and the drive took about 14 hours. I was able to call the front desk ahead of time and request a room on the same floor as my dad. They made a note in our reservation, and when I received the mobile check-in text, I could see the request reflected there. Once I completed mobile check-in, it confirmed we were on the same floor. It still took another 10 hours before we finally arrived, but our room was ready and the final check-in process was smooth and easy. The room itself was very spacious for a family of four. We really appreciated that the double beds were queen-sized--after recently staying at a Marriott with full-size beds, this was way better. There was plenty of storage in the drawers and closet for all our snow gear, swimwear, and regular clothes for 4 people over two days. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We were thankful to be on a non-smoking floor, which gave us a break from the smoke smell in the casino areas. I understand this is a casino and that indoor smoking is allowed in Nevada, so I won't complain about that. I called the front desk a few times during our stay, and every interaction was friendly and responsive. While I don't gamble, drink, or smoke--so this isn't really my scene--I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys some or all of those things. read more

I absolutely loved this Hotel, we were passing by first we stayed at the El Dorado then the peppermill. I can say that I truly had a pleasant stay, the rooms are beautiful! Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, clean resort most beautiful pool, the employees and customer service was by far my favorite! Kenny blackjack dealer was so awesome the poker room was the cheapest, the gift shop employees were so sweet! My cup was broken, they mailed me a new one store manager Claudia was so sweet I'll be goi g to say hi to her next visit. My beloved home was in the path of last week's Bug fire. While staying at a local Red Cross shelter, a neighbor told me that Peppermill was offering a major discount for us victims. I arrived after 3PM on Sunday, 8/9/2026. The room was beautiful, clean, beautifully quiet, had the little amenities like cold bottled water, hot tea & coffee, special testers of bath soap & shampoo. Everybody was a professional and helpful. I was so exhausted & still in shock. After a nap, & nearby walk downtown to release my anxiety, I checked my phone to see Cold Springs evacuations had ended. I was homesick. I checked out about 8:30 pm. Just the several hours here allowed me to collect myself and atleast try to relax that weekend. THAT meant a lot to me. I went up to the desk rep, briefly mentioned who I was. She excused herself, came back to tell me "You owe nothing." This is the simple kindness & generosity of strangers...in this case, Peppermill management stepped up to help their community--never asking me for ANYTHING in return. I want to thank Peppermill for aiding me, giving me shelter in my time of need. I AM SO GRATEFUL to all the employees at Reno, Peppermill for their kindness. We were there for a volleyball tournament and stayed in the Peppermill Towers. Check in/out was really easy. The room was significantly overpriced for what we received. There was no proper closet just a very small cabinet that offered minimal space. The walls were extremely thin, and we could clearly hear other guests' TVs and normal conversations, which made it difficult to relax. Especially when they were up at 5:00am. The mattress was also very uncomfortable, sagging on both sides so much that my husband and I felt like we were sliding off the bed. The only positive aspect of our stay was the good housekeeping service they did a great job cleaning the room each day. Unfortunately, aside from that, the room was not worth the price. read more

The resort was beautiful! There are several places to eat, a game room, casino, HUGE TVs throughout, and a beautiful pool area. The hotel room was great with lots of beautiful amenities. The issue isn't with the location it's with construction occurring on the roof. It was during daytime hours but began as early as 7am! The constant banging at different parts of the roof right over our hotel room made it hard to sleep in or relax during the day. They shouldn't have allowed for booking of certain rooms if they knew construction in the roof was occurring. read more

Notable restaurants are: Bimini Steakhouse, Biscotti's, Biscott's Cafe, Cafe Espresso, Cafe Milano, Casino Bar, Chi, Fireside lounge, High Limit Slot Lounge, Island Buffet (currently closed), Lobby Lounge, Oceano (2016 remodel), Romanza, Sole Poolside, Sports Bar and Deli, The Pub, The Terrace, and White Orchid Private Dining. Tuscany themed. Heated outdoor pool and cabanas. A fairly large gym. You can also get married in the Pisa Room. Spa & salon. Free use of computers for flight information or to print boarding passes. So many bright video slot machines. Add this with the big screen TVs and I am starting to get dizzy... Poker room. Etc. Service - Good. Mostly self service. Well today my waitress was amazing, the beers kept coming and I even left winning $7, LOL. I gave my winnings away as a tip. Price - Normal for a resort casino. Casino resort prices. My first stay at the Peppermill was a really pleasant experience. I actually got upgraded because the room I originally booked wasn't available -- total Jerry Seinfeld moment (if you know, you know). The room itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The king bed was great, and the pillows had just the right amount of support. But the real highlight was the bathroom -- especially the steam shower, which was amazing after a long day. Overall, I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in Reno. Came to this resort to visit family who live locally. We saw that it had been touted as a great hotel, so we wanted to try out the place. The staff here -- all of them-- are amazing. They are friendly and helpful and get the job done. It's refreshing to come to a resort where the employees look like they actually like their job. The room in the Tuscany tower, which is being renovated, was beautiful. Even though they are still working on it, we had a quiet room and barely noticed the construction workers. One thing I would change is the bed and linens as they were a little less comfortable than other nice hotels. The resort restaurants are excellent as well! Went here for a spa day to celebrate my besties birthday and WOW! I was blown away by the relaxing vibes, the complimentary snacks and drinks on every floor, the salt room, zero gravity room, the saunas, hot tubs, pools, and so much more. We got a service done and chose a facial and it was the all about me package and it was the best facial I've ever had. My skin is glowing and I feel so relaxed after spending the day there. They provide robes, lockers, sandals, soaps/scrubs for the shower too. This was a huge treat but I hope I can come back again for another special occasion. read more

Our room in the Tuscany Tower was awesome!! We felt we were living the life of luxury!!! The leather couch in the sitting room, the vanity and the huge jetted tub in the bathroom with a tv, and the king sized bed! There were plenty of outlets, tables, seating, etc. We enjoyed a few meals at our stay. Our favorite is Romanzas. We invited friends to join us, we chatted quite awhile before we were greeted and our order taken. Each couple ordered the Caesar salad to be split and our individual entrees. We once again waited quite awhile and our entrees arrived, no salad. Our waiter didn't hear us say we still wanted our salads but said he would get us dessert. We didn't see him again until we had finished our entrees and his assistant provided us with boxes. He came back eventually and asked for our dessert choices. I was pretty disappointed with the service, it wasn't busy so I really have no idea where our server was during our meal. The food was delicious as always we were a little embarrassed in front of our friends because we spoke so highly of the food and service. We enjoyed our staycation. I travel constantly, and this was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I am a Platinum member of Hotels.com, and I have never encountered anything like this. I booked a "One Bedroom" unit, with guaranteed check-in at 3:00 PM, but when I arrived, the room was not even ready by 5:00 PM. I had to wait another 30 minutes before I could finally enter. Upon entering, I realized it was a studio instead of the one-bedroom I had booked. The staff insisted this was the correct room and tried to justify it by saying they have connecting rooms, which is misleading and clearly not what was advertised. When I called Hotels.com to try to resolve the issue, the front desk staff brazenly lied, claiming that I was in the room I had booked -- which was absolutely false. I had to provide evidence to the Hotels.com manager proving that I was in a completely different room. I spent hours arguing at the front desk, and the situation was made far worse by extremely rude behavior from the manager on duty and security staff, who laughed at me and openly mocked me. I felt humiliated and even discriminated against, as they acted as if I could not speak English fluently, despite me and my children being fully fluent. This issue was honestly not a big problem -- I was ready to stay in the hotel for all six nights I had booked. If the managers had been even slightly smarter and treated their clients with basic human decency, the problem could have been resolved easily and peacefully. But they were not interested in solving the issue. They were interested in escalating the conflict and humiliating me as a guest and as a person. This is absolutely outrageous: they clearly do not care about families with children who are traveling and tired after a long trip. Security staff, who are supposed to protect hotel guests, instead humiliated us and applied pressure. These people completely forget that they are working for a living and earning the money that we pay them. To make matters worse, the room I booked for six nights at approximately $1,100 ended up charging more than $1,700 at check-in. They add $50 per night on top of the original price, plus an absurd security deposit of about $314. Can you imagine? Booking a room for $1,100 and ending up paying $600 more upon arrival. This is extremely strange and unacceptable. Only after several hours of conflict, and with pressure from Hotels.com due to the misleading listing and false information about the room, the hotel finally agreed to refund my booking. Of course, there was no compensation for the several hours lost or the stress and frustration caused. Absolutely terrible. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and has a nice pool, but the service is completely unacceptable. Staff are rude, unprofessional, and the experience is stressful. Even basic amenities, like toiletries, are minimal for a family of three, and everything feels overpriced and impersonal. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. Despite its appearance, it left me with nothing but negative emotions. read more

My husband and I met his friends here Sunday night. We will never go back. We were gambling for 2 hours never saw a cocktail waitress. So I went to the bar with my ticket from machines to get us 2 waters. She wanted $7.50 each bottle for an 8 ounce bottle of water! That's highway robbery. The bartender informed very rudely if I wanted a free one I needed to ask a cocktail waitress. Walked back to my husband and finally saw a waitress. When I asked her (she was literally standing right by my husband) she informed me she's not my waitress she would send her over. A half hour went by. Still no one. We said bye to his friends left there and went to Atlantis. Promptly served when we walked in and water - it was free. We won't be back, nor will we recommend the Peppermill to anyone. Stayed here for a volleyball tournament. Great location, probably 5ish min drive to the convention center. They offer free shuttle from the airport every 30 mins starting at like 4a until I think 11p. We didn't use the shuttle but our friends did Monday 5a and it wasn't full. They have an outdoor pool - one big pool, a smaller one and a jacuzzi. It was very windy but the pool was still open and heated. The smaller pool warmer than the bigger one. The gym was really nice, had treadmills, a starlit climber, weight racks, bigger dumbbells for my husband. A sauna and maybe a steam room? There's a water refill station inside the gym. I think it opens at 4a-11p as well: they also have room temp and cold water bottles th dry fine out for free. Gym towels and I think even head sets. U need a keycard to enter. Parking, there is not valet. They said it stopped during Covid. Parking is free, that's a plus. There's a parking lot and 2 story parking garage. We never had an issue finding parking. They have a lot of dining options including 24/7 room service and dining. There's also an arcade. The kids had fun playing there. The walls were a little thin but there was only one incident that we could hear our neighbors. They offer to bring u free water bottles to your room but we never had to use it. There's an ice vending machine near the elevators. The elevators were fast and never too busy for us going to and from the vball games. I think they have bell service but my husband was able to get a cart, so we could bring up the luggage's ourselves. Tahoe is about an hour drive away. We had a two bedroom queen. Had a mini fridge, a safe. Lots of outlets. Someone had to fix out a/c and they did it in a timely manner. Before check in, I asked if they had toiletries dispensers like shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the bathroom and they said yes but it was actually mini bottles. So I had to request extra. Also a friend wanted to warm up their food and they brought them a microwave to use in their room. read more

I visit Reno frequently and always look forward to coming to the Peppermill, but my recent experience with the graveyard pit bosses, Brian and Carlos, was incredibly disappointing. Their dismissive attitudes and unprofessional behavior completely disrupted my trip, which is highly unusual for a property that typically prides itself on excellent customer service.Incident 1: Brian's Unprofessional OutburstI was walking past a $15 blackjack table where a player had temporarily stepped away to use the restroom, leaving his chips behind. Instead of waiting, Brian aggressively ordered the dealer to shut the table down. When the dealer politely pointed out that the player was just in the bathroom, Brian yelled across the floor--loud enough for me to hear all the way over by the slots--"I don't care. It's a fifteen fucking dollar table!" while wildly gesturing with his hands. This was a shocking display of disrespect toward a paying guest.Incident 2: Carlos's Hostile AttitudeI always bring treats for the wonderful dealers and staff here. I asked Carlos if a specific dealer was working, and he said yes. When I asked if that dealer was on break and when they might return, Carlos glared at me and snapped, "I can't tell you that." I was completely flabbergasted. Every other pit boss at this casino politely tells you if someone is on break and will be back in 20 minutes. Carlos was unnecessarily secretive, hostile, and dismissive.Incident 3: Targeted and Unfair TreatmentTwo nights later, Brian targeted me directly. I was playing blackjack, and just 5 to 10 minutes after another player left, Brian abruptly forced the dealer to close my table. I understand graveyard shifts require consolidating tables when it is slow. However, standard policy with every other professional pit boss is to let the remaining player finish or grandfather them into the new limit. Instead, Brian just shut it down on me after I had only been playing for 10 minutes.This is certainly not the high standard of service I am used to experiencing from casino management here. The contrast between these two employees and the rest of the wonderful Peppermill staff is staggering. I truly love this property, but I hope management addresses the behavior on the graveyard shift so that regular, loyal players continue to feel welcome. read more

I found myself at the Peppermill Resort on a recent work trip! It was overall a lovely place to stay and I see why they have so many great reviews. I do wish I had more time to take advantage of their many amenities, they do have a LOT of them - including multiple pools, a spa, 15 or so onsite restaurants and of course ample gambling opportunities. On that note, I would recommend a stay here if you have time to enjoy them. They have a 50 dollar a day resort fee, that really is steep if you are only enjoying the two water bottles that come with it. I stayed in a two queen bed room. The beds were super comfortable with plush pillows, the overall room was pretty tight and could use a bit more detailed clean, but it didn't feel dirty by any means. Soundproofing wasn't the best, and we could hear our neighbors throughout our stay, but it wasn't horrible or to be unexpected at a hotel. We tried a few of their fast casual restaurants including a few cafes, they aren't cheap thats for sure, but fit the bill and appreciated the options! All the service we received was great. Everyone was super friendly and helpful when we got a bit turned around in hotel - haha. Overall, lovely option, close to all the happening in downtown Reno, with of course lots to do right onsite. read more

The hotel room was phenomenal!!! Got a suite with a tub overlooking the mountain, 2 tv's, a steam shower with dual sinks and a fireplace!!!! Great layout, bed was actually descent and the pillows were so comfy!! The hotel itself you never had to wait on the elevator, easy to get around. Hated they had no smoking where u can sit and watch the games:( The games didn't pay much, did see a few big wins though. The coffee shop was convenient with lots of breakfast /lunch options and gelato too. The fireside lounge is great!! Got a 35oz drink and got to keep the glass. There is really nothing to do other than the pool or gaming but luckily there is plenty of things close by, even a great movie theatre! FYI .. there is lots to do at the GSR hotel with a Fat Tuesday and bowling/billiards and laser tag. Overall I would definitely stay again!! read more

My husband and I recently stayed at the Peppermill while in the area visiting my grandparents. The room was comfortable, and on a non-smoking floor in the Peppermill Tower. It also featured a steam shower, which was pretty neat. We visited during the Super Bowl weekend so in terms of drink service on the casino floor it felt a little slow, but we found that we really enjoyed some of their drinks - including their Bloody Mary's. They have a few restaurants on site - we only visited their steakhouse - Bimini's - this was fantastic. Room service was also great, and includes an 18% gratuity so if you lost all your cash on the casino floor the staff don't go without. Overall, I'd stay here again for what it offers. read more

Had a really nice day here. Check in and check out was made super easy. They have kiosks at the entryway and you just put in your ID and it matches with the reservation and it prints you out your keys. You go ahead and pay at the kiosk even if you pay ahead of time they still have a resort fee that you need to pay when you check in. They email you your room number as well as showing it on the screen and then you head to your room. This is a pretty big place. Luckily while I was checking in, they hadn't attended kind of looking over that area of the kiosks and I had a question about the charge which was the resort fee and a deposit. When my room printed out, I asked him how much further it might be since I had walked quite a ways to get inside from the car and carrying with ice chest I was getting tired. He looked at the number started to give me directions something about walking over a skywalk to get to another tower and he stopped mid sentence and said hold on, let me see if I can get you a different room that's closer. Connor was his name and he ended up getting me a different room. I think I was originally on the second floor in a north tower and I ended up getting in the Peppermill tower on floor 11 only a couple doors from the elevator, which was greatly appreciated, so thanks, Connor your awesome!!! There are nice views from the higher floors. The room was very nice. I especially like the large shower with shelf in the long counter with sink made it nice for multiple people to get ready at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised that the rooms were nice and cool when we arrived since it was a hot day outside . This trip we didn't have much time to explore the place too much since we had prior engagements outside of the casino. In the morning, we decided to go check out the casino and amenities so we would be aware of what they have for next time we come visit and need a place to stay since we really like the room. We took the time to sign up for their loyalty program played a few slots and within about five minutes I won $300 so needless to say we went ahead and checked out and decided when we come back next time we will make a point to dine in house and check out more of the amenities. Checkout was super simple. I received an email in the morning that had a button to click and said check out here. I clicked it. They said you're checked out. I've stayed here twice this October. The first time was second floor of the West Wing. This trip it is the second floor of the North Wing. Both are equally unpleasant, but the north feels weirder, because the elevators to the hotel floors is accessible from outside. The inside of these wings feels like a cheap motel that was purchased and renovated with Peppermill branding. The floors ceeek when you walk on them, carpets feel dirty in the rooms. Bed is hard, and you can hear everything going on around you. The parking lots are so bright it's impossible not to have light shine in through the windows. I would never stay here again, I only have stayed these two times because my company booked me here. Pass for sure! read more

Only one person working the counter, estimated wait from my standpoint to the front is over one hour to just check in. absolutely no service, rude employees, nobody wanting to help and nobody talking to each other. This is my "HAPPY PLACE"!!! I've enjoyed periodic 3 or 4 night getaways here with my family for over a decade now. Initially I would come here for spontaneous weekend trips with my mom just to gamble and destress from a hectic work week... Throughout the years it's become a tradition. The comps are pretty good although I've noticed the resort fees have increased through the years (insert sad emoji here). We used to get comped free rooms which enticed us into coming more frequently, but now they tack on the resort fees so it's not so free. Still, the nostalgia, excellent service and accommodations keep us coming back! Plus the scenic drive to this part of Reno is relaxing in and of itself. Cleanliness of the rooms are above average and the beds in this hotel will literally HOLD YOU HOSTAGE they are so friggin COMFORTABLE!!! I wish I could express how comfy these beds are! I literally NEVER want to come back home after staying here. I sleep like a baby. I prefer staying in the Tuscany tower as it offers better views plus a nice big tub with jacuzzi jets and a tv in the bathroom. However, if no Tuscany rooms are available, the Peppermill tower is newly renovated and their rooms are quite nice as well. The slot machines are friendly although I'm not a huge gambler, I have won my largest jackpot here! $6800 on a dollar machine! Cocktail waitresses round frequently and offer beverages upon request. When we come visit I enjoy playing the slot machines, occasionally tables. The nonsmoking gambling area is quite small, which is one of the few downfalls of the casino. I wish they would expand this area for those of us who hate that smoky smell. They have two huge heated pools, one which has a cascading waterfall for cooling off in the heat! Or just taking a nice dip at night. You must be a hotel guest to use pools. Lifeguard is available at all times. As far as the dining goes, you can't go wrong with Oceano (fresh sushi & seafood) or Bimini's Steakhouse! For something more casual, the Mexican restaurant Sabrosa's is pretty good too! Let me not forget to mention their Spa. I'm a HUGE proponent for self care and Spa Toscana is AMAZING. I recommend the all about you facial or the Tuscan Ritual massage.... Prices are not cheap, but the quality of their services are commensurate with the price. Be sure to book in advance as they do get busy during peak season. The last thing I want to mention about the Peppermill is the 5 star SERVICE. From the front desk workers to housekeeping, literally every person who works here is so accommodating, friendly and genuinely warm. This hotel and casino has so much heart. If you're ever in the area, you won't be disappointed stopping by for a short (or long) vacation. The Peppermill is the BEST!! read more
