We moved to Crystal Falls Vision because it was close to our home. We knew nothing about them. The person making our appointment was kind and efficient and found two appointment back to back as my husband and I tend to do these together. They confirmed and reconfirmed as is the process these days and another day of reminder. I actually appreciate that reminder. Once there and all the paperwork was done, I went first and the tech did all the eye checks. She was sweet, thoughtful and efficient making sure I was comfortable the whole time. Then I went into a room and waited just a moment for Dr Mathew to come in. He greeted me warmly and started my exam. I have been wearing glasses my entire life. I believe this was the most thorough exam I've ever had - like in the "old days" before things got so streamlined and fast. But don't think of him as out of date. He was very thorough and made sure my eyes were well taken care of. I really enjoyed him and we talked over various options. From this fist visit I highly recommend him and his staff. Given a chance.... Recently, I had an unfortunate event with my grandson whereby he tested the "indestructibleness" of my glasses. The frame broke in half. Ordered direct replacements from manufacturers rep but received not a direct replacement. Having scratched the lens as well, I assume the warranty would cover the new replacement lenses into the new frame but not the same as lenses being returned under warranty. Hoped I would get a call if there was any issues. Unfortunately, the lab cut a new set of lenses just like the old ones which now match up only to a frame that is broken. But, given a chance, the customer service rep at CFV, heard that the end result was not desirable for me so she found a frame that the lens fit into so that I can again function. Great place to get eye care! When I first moved to Leander, I stopped in with broken sunglasses. They fixed them for me (replaced a screw) and would not let me pay them. Not too much later, my daughter got a severe dry eye issue. She called and they told her to come over immediately and they would squeeze her in. They got her fixed up and she was better in a few days. A few weeks ago, I tore my last contact (procrastination bit me) and called one morning hoping they could help. They put me in their lunch hour to help me and have fixed me up with new contacts that feel great. Dr. Mathew took his time and explained everything he did. He never seemed rushed at all. He is a very friendly doctor and his staff is the same. Great care from great people. read more

Our family switched to Crystal Falls Vision Center when we moved to Leander. Their office is clean and bright, and the staff is incredibly professional and friendly. I wear both glasses and contact lenses but now require reading glasses as well. Dr. Mathew took the time to listen to my concerns and provide me with information to keep my eyes healthy. Their optician, Greg, explained my vision benefits clearly and assisted me in selecting a pair of frames. Unlike some other vision centers, I was never pressured into selecting frames that were sold at a higher price point. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. They were quick and efficient. Dr.Mathew was very nice and made me feel like he was takin my eyes health very seriously and did many tests and screenings I've never seen before so I felt confident in his ability to help my vision. I loved that it was a one stop shop. You didn't have to go anywhere else for the frames or glasses, they had an expert there on site who was very nice and helpful also. For my family it was important we find a place that takes cafe if adults, children and all of our needs and this place definitely does. For those looking they also specialize in diabetic eye exams and I saw things for lasik also. read more

My daughter just turned 11 and wants contacts before middle school. Braces and glasses-super cute, right?!? My daughter doesn't think so. I cannot day enough about CF Vision, Dr. Matthews and his staff (especially the sweet gal at the front). My daughter had a very rough time practicing putting contacts in, we were there for almost 2 hours!!! They were patient, kind, encouraging, and worked with my daughter to help her. Although she didn't quite get it yet, we are going back to try again. I've never been to an optometrist until now (age 59)! I've never had any issues with my eyes, but knowing what I know now, I wished I would've made yearly exams from my teen years. After meeting with the staff at Crystal Falls Vision Center, I wished that I had x-rays/exams/photos since of both my eyes progression to determine the rate of deterioration as I've aged. Plus, I've learned that your eyes can also help determine any critical medical issues you may have and not be aware of it! My optometrist dropped my insurance, so I decided to find an eye doctor right around the corner. Boy did I strike gold! Everything from checking in, the actual appt (Dr Mathew got to know me and my son at his first eye appt ever), picking out glasses with Teracita (spelling? - she knew what fit me before I even did!) and then getting fitted by Alona. I ended up with a prescription that was tailored to me because he spent the time getting to know my eyes and glasses that were perfect for me (can you say impossible?). Dr. Matthew and his staff are great. I've moved from employer health insurance to a Medicare Advantage Plan, and the basic eye exam is covered under both plans. Dr. Matthew told me he tries to accept as many plans as possible. I've gone into their office on a couple of occasions for routine things like refill on eyeglass cleaner (no charge) and a minor repair to my glasses (no charge). On my most recent visit, they took a rental scan, and Dr. Matthew too the time to clearly explain the results, which were good but he explained why. read more

Dr. Matthew is an exceptional doctor and is always thorough. He takes the time to review and explain the health of your vision. I trust Dr. Matthew and I'm so happy to have discovered him. I have had very poor vision all my life and have had several bad experiences with other professionals not being as accurate and knowledgeable. I know I've never had a more thorough eye exam and certainly have never had it more patiently and thoroughly explained to me. Crystal was very helpful and kind when rooming me and doing preliminary tests. Ari really knows her stuff and made the experience of picking out frames so much fun. I just had my annual eye exam here (my second visit to this office), and brought my husband in for his first exam in several years. The staff are all very pleasant, and we both think Dr. Mathew does a great job. He is very thorough and explains everything in a way you can understand. He does speak quickly, which makes for a quicker appointment, but doesn't make you feel rushed. He really seems to make recommendations based on what is best for you and what you want or need. I saw Dr Matthew when he first opened in Crystal Falls. I had not had a good experience with my previous place and was a little nervous. That was a year ago, and since then I have sent both my husband and mother in law to see him, we are all extremely happy.
