I always get my pedicure done by Lily (or maybe Linly?, she wears glasses) and does an amazing job with my ingrown toenail. It hurts a bit but is worth it to be pain free the rest of the month. She also does a wonderful job exfoliating my soles. It's now $40 for a pedicure as of 11/2024 but she's unbelievably worth it. My mom and I came to Crystal Nail and Spa on a whim on 03/10/18 around 2pm or 3pm after having lunch together. We entered and my mother and I were instantly greeted. My mom was instantly seated as I had to wait for about 5 minutes. This nail shop got packed quick. I was seated and the language barrier can be confusing. Anyways it took me about 15 minutes to pick the color I wanted as they had so many colors and my favorite reds to choose from. There was a lot kids small (infants and toddlers) to teen in this shop. This shop had a lot of diverse people. I usually get my same dark red or glitter maroon gel polish on my natural nails but decided to get a dark purple to embrace new changes in life, just to mix things up. Once the nail polish was picked and I declined the manicure (they scare me sometimes due past experiences) which the nail tech understood, usually some do it any ways. She informed me that it would be $20 and ask me to pay now, which caught me off guard...which I am used to paying after. I informed the nail tech that my mom is paying. Unfortunately I was not seated with mom but I was finished early compared to my mom so I sat with her as her dude who was doing her nails was working precisely on my moms nails. This was the first time I seen a Hispanic straight male working at a nail salon. I was able to chit chat with my mom for awhile just catching up on life. This place was very very very packed. Anywho I forgot to mention once I sat by mom my nail tech whispered into my moms nail tech ear...probably letting him know I haven't paid yet...he just shook his head. I am assuming this place must have had A LOT of customers who did not pay after their nails were finished. I heard a lot of nail techs informing the customers to pay now before the work is done...I don't like that practice however my moms nail tech did not do that to her. Anyways once finished my mom gave her tech a $20 tip which he did not want to take but eventually did after persistence. I treated my mom as she treated me today. I'm not sure if I will be back...I don't like some practices here but that may be a Management problem than worker problem but I cannot help but to think it is race fueled. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I went maybe 2 weeks ago. I got a pedi and wanted a soak off and gel polish. As I sat down, they did not start to soak my nails right away , it wasnt busy so I requested the lady on the left at the entrance,she usually has a scrunchy and pony tail (I forget her name ), She agreed since she had no one. As they were doing my Pedi, the girl who did it CUT both my fourth toe and pinky on right foot, Ive had experiences with infections at salons and she did not seem to care, much less apologize. They did not bother to even make small talk, yet my pedicurist was talking to another customer to the left of me as if I wasnt there.(Sory I dont let myself get ripped off lol) When the pedi was done, the lady was doing a full set, and I didnt mind waiting since she was almost done. The girl who did my pedicure asked if she could do it , I let her know she had already agreed. They speak in their language and the girl tells me "she has 2 sets after shes done." Frustrated since I had already waited I told her "I was here before them". Again, they speak in their language, however its funny because Ive heard the lady speak english to other customers before. She then tells me to wait at another table. I wait literally 40 minutes with my fingers SOAKING in the acetone and not once did she come to file the top off to continue breaking down. She then tells me to go to her table where I keep waiting for the soak off. Shes not happy whatsoever (She lost a full set for doing mine). She files and leaves my nails bare but my fingertips and parts of my skin were extremely dry for being left soaked for so long. She tells me to wash my hands and when I come back she has the gel machine out. I tell her I dont want the gel polish after all and she says something to an older guy by her and he shakes his head. Shown are my pictures of how she left my hands , and I had to deal with peeling from my hands days after. They have the worst customer service Ive seen yet. My mom also told me the same lady on the left rushed her eyebrows because she was doing a full set. This place does not care about their customers, just the money. So I've been to this nail salon manny times and they have always done a good job on my nails for the most part. However I got my nails done by one of the ladies there named Tracy and she made my nails to thin. When I saw her filing them down a little to much I told her I wanted them kind of thick because I like to have my nails long and thick not to thin. Anyway she got upset and told me I have to tell her before she files them down. Then I told her I knew they were not going to last and break easily. She told me that if they break I can come back and she'll fix them for free. Right now I'm just upset that I paid 50 and they didn't even last me a week. I'm guessing from their dirty tools...their work on nails are pretty good however they do not care about fixing it for you if you accidentally bump your wet nail.I had paid $50 for ombré nails and one of my nails tapped the other causing a little scrape on the wet nail and once I told the lady all she said was not to touch it and left it how it is..I mean I'm paying $50 for the nails , I'm sure a little tiny ball of acrylic to fix the scrape wouldn't have hurt..I used to love coming here but I hate their attitude and after this toe infection it's a no for me.. read more

She would try to twist my fingers to paint the sides. When she was done with my gel she started filing which she practically filed the sides off. I had been here before and this guy did my nails- the first time i ever got a manicure and he did a good job except i wanted a design literally just the number 96 so they sent this Chinese older man did the design but he did it horrible, anyways so i came around again for the second time and i waited 30 min when the front desk lady told me it was my turn, so i waited for 15 min more while the manicurist was finishing up some customers nails, she gave me certain colors to look at meanwhile and then i told her i wanted acrylic full set so she said it would be $35 i asked "why so much since the price list says $18" so then she said "cause it's gel polish" and i told her no i don't want gel polish. So she didn't say anything back and started working on my nails and later said "it's gonna be $25 since you want almond shape" and i said ok. (WHICH BTW THEY NEED TO ADD PRICE LIST FOR SHAPES) so then She started working on my nails and i noticed my thumb looked REALLY curved and not straight so i kindly told her to fix it so she giggled and said "ure nail is shaped that way curved look at mines too" i totally ignored her rude ass comment because I've gotten my nails done somewhere else and my thumbs never look so curved and uneven. So once she was about to almost be done she rudely told me "GO WASH HANDS" like in the most rudest way. So then Before she applied the nail polish she said the service was gonna be $25 and i said i know. And she looked at me all rude "NO, YOU PAY NOW $25" and i was like ok. After she charged me and applied the nail color she literally did not tell me anything so i assumed she was finished and i was grabbing my purse to leave when she quickly yelled "NO don't get up you need to stay and wait till dry, keep hands on fan" and so she just walked away after that and never came back nor did she tell me how long to wait. So i grabbed my stuff and left. Definitely didn't leave her any tip. Overall i don't recommend this place, totally bad atmosphere and rude customer service. Anywho, she was busy today so right when I walked in she greeted me and sat me down, with another worker. I hoped my second experience would be okay, but it wasn't. The lady cut my cuticle on my right hand, and after seeing it, kept doing my nails like she hadn't just cut me, she hurt my pinky as well, but didn't care at all. Let alone the job wasn't very well. Went in with my sister today. I asked for a matte gel manicure. All of my nails were filed unevenly and there was gel polish all over my fingers. There is a chunk of something underneath the polish on one of my nails. To top it off, she used alcohol to rub the shine off of my nails instead of using the matte top coat polish (and she missed spots so pieces of my nails are still shiny) I learned my lesson, you get what you pay for. read more
