Anne was my nail tech and did an awesome job. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a quick seat. I got the spa manicure and pedicure combo. Both were very relaxing paired with a leg and hand massage. A lot of nail colors to choose from so you can't be disappointed. **The menu prices in store are NOT UPDATED!! So expect an up charge! We got a brow, lip and chin combo for the menu price of $20 but was charged $35. We brought this to the owners attention but shrugged it off. **Never get my nails done, so the UV gel on my hands needed some getting used to. I spoke to man at front desk about this and he said they haven't updated their prices for waxing and basically that there is nothing they can do. I had to get my nails done last minute for Easter. I was really stressed because I hate getting things like this done the last minute. I decided to try Crystal nails in which I had to wait for about 20-30 minutes which was reasonable considering I had no appointment I received a full set of acrylic with gel nail polish. I found a pic on Pinterest in which the tech did an exact replica which convinced me to return and give them another try. The reason for the 4 stars is because after my nails were done the next is when I noticed the nail lifting a little from the tip which skeeves me out because that's a great way to get bacteria/ currently I'm just paying attention to this particular nail as I don't have time to return to get it fixed. I came here 1-2 times a month for more than 6 months for acrylic nails. They had good availability when you called for an appt, even same day and I never had any issues. One day I decided I wanted to take a break from the acrylics... the nail tech told me that my acrylics were "too new" even though it had been 3 weeks since my last fill and "it will be too painful" to remove and basically forced me to get another fill. I was annoyed that I was lied to and pressured to get another fill. 2 weeks later I went to another salon who had no issue taking off the acrylic and guess what.. it didn't hurt at all. So my break from acrylics turned into me never going to this salon again. read more

I have been going here for about a year, and absolutely have loved my experience there in the past. I went earlier this week to get a fill. I always get the IBD UV liquid gel and a gel polish on top. I just needed a fill, and the lady drilled all of it off instead and did a full set. when I put my fingers in the UV light to cure, I experienced the worst pain I ever have and started crying. They weren't being sympathetic at all and didn't care that I was in crazy pain. I also picked a pink from the examples and it was number 535, but the example was wrong for what the color actually was. I asked for a new color and she said she couldn't help me. my fingers were still in pain and I was still crying, so I left but they still made me pay the full price. Now two of my nails are infected and on antibiotics now. Loved this place for so long but now never going back. read more

horrible! absolutely horrible! they used a chemical on my sister's face that, per instructions, said do not use on eye lashes and eyebrows as blindness may occur! my sister's face resulted in a chemical burn, and when she went to consult the manager, "john" refused to rectify the situation. these people are using chemicals on their clients that should not be used, especially without an allergy test! if you do receive a chemical burn, they will not help you and will refuse to provide you with pertinent info to file a claim! dept. of public health has been notified! read more

I got acrylic nails done, and they were super aggressive to my nails, I started bleeding because she cut my nails so short, and started ripping off my old tips and started ripping of my real nails and shaving my skin off with the nail bit. I asked for a long nail and she cut them 10x shorter than I asked for, a simple bow design and she rushed to finish the design like it was a race, I tried to put the inspo design in front of her and she pushed it away telling me that she didn't need it, she proceeded to complete my nails and never asked me once if I liked how they looked. I wanted a gold bow but she told me they didn't have gold nail polish, so then I got silver, but after I was done I saw the person next to me getting gold nail polish and was furious, she just didn't want to get up and get the polish. I payed $77 for these and they look awful. Talk about a rip off. Very disappointed. Never coming back. read more

I called ahead and they said I didn't need an appointment as they aren't busy. I arrived within 15 minutes at 6:00pm and waited almost an hour, as people were being called that arrived after me. I sat down in the chair at 6:55, but then, the lady went over to do someone's eyebrows for five minutes. It was then 7pm, and they close at 7:30. My nail technician rushed my powder dip manicure in under a half hour so she could leave by 7:30. On top of that, I have been to this salon multiple times and they have always trimmed and neatened my cuticles. This time, she offered to clean up my cuticles for an extra 5$. I am already paying 40$ for a powder dip manicure, isn't cuticle clean up included in a manicure price?! She didn't even touch my cuticles or push them back at all. Ridiculous. read more

I've been visiting Crystal Nails for quite a few years but over the past six months I've been going more regularly and it's really a good salon. I don't trust any other salon that I've visited to do pedicures but Crystal's. They are very hygienic and open a new pair of tools on each customer. I've also been getting gel color manicures and I have a different person do it each time and everyone generally upkeeps the same level of quality. One time my nail color chipped in the same day and they told me to come back immediately and took care of it without any hassle. It can be busy at times like any other salon but I have generally never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to be seen. On some weeknights I've snuck in and it's been very quiet. All of the technicians are friendly, some more talkative than others, but I feel like they generally try to cater to the vibe you're giving off. When I'm too tired looking after a long day at work they just let me sit and enjoy. They are not your cheapest option but they don't break the bank either, the prices are fairly reasonable to me. I see a lot of other customers getting tips and gel and more intricate options and it looks like they do a really good job with those as well. read more

I'd like to start this out by saying I'm a very nice person. Really. I smile when introducing myself, and retain politeness. I walked into Crystal Nails on my way to a conference in Boston. My costume was pink, so I needed a quick polish. Tina "greeted" me and curtly told me to pick a color. Wait time was short, but she looked completely put off as I took off my gloves and jacket, to the point where I feebly apologized. Speaking of apologizing, one of her regulars walked out to say goodbye, and her entire persona changed as she apologized to her - presumably, for being stuck with me. In a business where a lot of your income is based on tips (and believe me, I know about hustling), I was shocked. There were obvious upsales, and I politely - and again, I was keeping my composure - repeated I just wanted the basic polish. Then, with an attitude that made me anxious, she began forcing my cuticles out and around. I was about to ask her not to cut them, when she dug into my middle finger, not stopping as I repeatedly said "Ow." I'm a pretty tough cookie, but there's a point where you have to realize that maybe the tech was doing it on purpose. So the blood starts flowing out of my finger, and she says nothing. It's my first cut cuticle, so I'm not sure what to expect. When I went to wash my hands and the other nail techs looked panicked at my finger, I realized maybe there was a problem. Especially when Tina kept curtly saying, "Just stick it under the water." I thought, "Bitch, it HURTS when I do that", but followed her directions. So apparently, there's some sort of magic gel you put on a bleeding cuticle to make it stop. I didn't know it was going to feel like Satan took a bite of my nail, and she didn't feel like warning me about the fact that it was going to sting. So when I yelped a "FUCK!" out, I quickly apologized to the women around me. She tried to SUPER GLUE AN OPEN WOUND, and that's when I lost it. I said, "NO. Don't touch it. Just work around it." The rest of the experience was met with rudeness, like I was a burden and not a paying customer. Clearly, I didn't tip, and her service was so appalling that I was surprised she actually made me pay (which I did, because I'm not a complete asshole). Tl;dr: Tina was rude, thoughtless, and I essentially had to squeeze a begrudging "Sorry" out of her. My hands are an integral part of my business, and her actions seemed like she was taking some sort of disgruntled mood out on me. I've really tried to like this place, I've been 3 times. It's just so bad. Always too crowded, they need to rearrange their setup. I never like how my acrylics come out, they rush so much. I went recently just to get my acrylics off, which I told the lady before I sat down, and then when I did sit down she asked in a very rude way why I didn't pick a color. She starts aggressively ripping my nails off, I assumed she was gonna soak them off so it wouldn't ruin my nails. I have never been to a nail salon where they rip them off instead of soaking them off. If I wanted my nails to look horrible I would've just ripped them off myself instead of paying someone else to do it in a worse way. I specifically asked her to not cut my real nails, and had to remind her 3 times because she kept cutting them. She said they were just gonna break off anyway and when I said no it's okay you can leave them, I'll file them myself, she rolled her eyes and then held up my hand to the lady working next to her and said something in their language, and they laughed. Literally right in front of my face. I was appalled to say the least. This is the same woman who cut my friends finger and didn't wipe the blood off, it had dripped down from her cuticle to the bottom of her finger, and the lady just left it there. I've been visiting this salon for 5 years. My past two visits since Covid have been less than enjoyable. My hope is that they gain back some of their qualities I loved before. This past visit I called ahead of time to have my minor issue fixed with an acrylic set done the night before. I was told to come right in. After being told it was going to be a couple minutes... I waited for 25 and walked out. I assume they were waiting for the young lady who did them previously to finish up. I have nothing negative to say about the nail technicians. From what I've seen, they do good work. However, I surmise that the owner leaves much to be desired as it pertains to customer appreciation! This morning (11/30/19), my relative went to Crystal Nails, where she's been a patron for several years, when it opened at 10:00. She called me from their restroom shortly there after because she was literally stuck in there. She banged on the door until someone showed up to try and get her out. Then the owner came and recommended that my relative use a "card" to jimmy the lock. Someone said they were going to call the police and advised my relative to be patient. After eleven minutes, the owner got her out. When my relative asked for a discount, per my recommendation, the owner refused to honor her request. Needless to say, just hearing the whole scenario upset me, so the owner's rejection of a legitimate request angered me all the more! Therefore, I called him and informed him that I heard everything and asked him to reconsider because my relative spent most of the time it takes for a fill-in stuck in the restroom. I also asked him a hypothetical question, "What would have happened to my relative if the shop caught on fire?" The owner told me that my relative doesn't have to receive services at Crystal Nails. My response was "I will be writing a review." His cavalier response was, "Go ahead." His next move was absolutely appalling!As the nail technician was preparing to fill in my relative's gel nails, the owner told her to stop because my relative was not going to be serviced. Im not even remotely fat or overweight, and this bitch thinks I'm pregnant. I get up to leave immediately, only my cuticles were done. She told me I need to pay $14 for the "manicure" -- when all that was done was cuticle work, we didn't finish. I left cause I'm sick of their lack of professionalism and expertise. I have been here many times but recently had gone without getting my nails done professionally for almost a year. My nails were a disgrace! I'm so happy with the way they look now! I got a simple French tip and they are clean and pretty! I always get gel nails, I don't care for acrylic because it chips and breaks, and I think that the $50 I paid for my full set today was a great price. I've never been treated poorly or cut here. I have had at least 5 different people do my nails here and each one has been gentle, kind, and professional. I have also never been subjected to the awkward situation where the girl doing my nails is having a conversation in her first language with another girl across the room. Instead, the girl (or guy) doing my nails is talking to me, and I really appreciate that.
