Tina does it, again! Look at these Mermaid SNS nails! These are my REAL nails, y'all! SNS is the best thing for the health of your nail-bed; just make sure to have the vitamin and mineral enriched SNS treatment (aka dip because of the application process) removed professionally vs. a do-it-yourself approach. Tina trimmed almost a full-centimeter off my length from my previous trip to Crystal Nails: SNS will make your nails essentially bulletproof and allow your natural nails to live long and prosper P.S. if you work in the service or medical industry, SNS is a must! I'm a bartender who washes her hands at least 20 times a shift. Unlike acrylic, SNS will withstand aggressive hand-washing and will never chip or crack-- and, most of all, your polish is essentially a built-in acrylic nail and, therefore, will not come off! If anything, I am MORE than satisfied of the wonderful service they have provided of the few times I've been here! Although I admit, I've been skeptical when I read the reviews, but now I understand that the complaints were geared towards one of their workers (i believe her name was Chow). that woman failed to take her job seriously (a not-so-great-experience with her on on my part either); so it's just specifically that worker, and not the place itself! Hopefully, Tina (the owner) will take notice of that nail tech person and tell her what she's doing wrong. Aside from that, Tina's a very sweet person and she provides such a very good work ethic and service!! 5 stars!!!! (more if possible because I can't get over my fabulous nails!!) Love coming this salon. The owner and the staff are very kind and friendly. They are also professional and talented in their job. The services I often have most at this salon is manicure and pedicure, and waxing too. Because the products that they use are really quallified, so it last long on my nails, usually 2-3 weeks polished and beautiful without flaw. If I have waxing, it will take several months for me to do it again. I am quite satisfied with all the services here, especially my manicurist, jinny. I always ask for her to do my nails as well as all my services that I want. Really impressed by the way the salon is decorated too. More than once I've made an appointment and had to wait a while to be seen but today it was a FULL HOUR after I made the appt that they finally started on my nails. WHAT THE HELL! I got no apology, just a bunch of crap talkand yelling in another language to eachother. I asked for a discount since I had to rearrange my entire evening because they made me wait and extra hour, and they were extremely rude and said absolutely not. Do not accept appointments if you don't intend to honor them. More than anything their attitudes pissed me off, no apologies just a bunch of dirty looks and a lack of consideration for a paying customer's time. read more

Her service was amazing and one of the best I've ever received (and I have gotten my nails done from so many different nail salons). A friend of mine just got back from LA with her new "half-moon" or "Hollywood" manicure and I wanted one! I called around but several salons said they couldn't do it. On a whim I went into Crystal Nails, since I'd been before and found them to be very clean and nice. I explained what I wanted and they helped me out! I LOVE my half-moon manicure!!! Lee gave me the manicure and did an excellent job! (and I had a great time learning about his background --the man has a degree in Electrical Engineering among many other talents!). I happened to drive past this place earlier this week and decided to try it today. I walked in and was immediately taken care of. I was asked several times if my daughter, husband, or myself wanted something to drink. The staff was extremely polite and professional. My nails came out amazing! My 3 year old even got her nails and toenails painted and they took such good care of her, even adding little flowers. The place was very clean and well organized. I would definitely recommend this place and am going to tell all of my friends. Also, the prices are great too! read more

This weekend, my hubby took care of the kids and gave me some time alone to pamper myself. Went to get a manicure and pedicure combo for my nails and feet. This nail salon is clean and nicely decorated. I really love their wall frame pictures, especially the Eiffel Tower one. I had the regular manicure and the Deluxe Spa pedicure.  What a treatment. These two ladies did a great job with my nails and feet. The nails and feet both look gorgeous, even my hubby loves it. I could not ask for a better service. The customer service was more than I expected! I was referred by co-workers and was told that their pedicures were the best. Not only was it very relaxing but they were close to closing time when I arrived and instead of rushing through my services, they took their time and ended my long day with the best foot massage I've had in years! Love this place! I have been coming here for 5 years for manicure, pedicure, and sometimes eyebrow waxing. I have been to many places around Austin for these services, and Crystal Nails definitely has the best value. It's not a high-end spa, so if you're expecting that kind of luxury and ambiance, this is not your place. However, the services are quality and the customer service is excellent.
