This place is a hidden gem! The Villa, Furiwa, and Lifetime Weddings & Events are all right next to each other. I think they may be sister companies? To get to The Villa's parking lot, you would drive to the left of Furiwa and into the back parking lot, and The Villa would be on the opposite side. I actually came here to do a tasting with Furiwa (which went great! I will write a separate review on that after my wedding). Even though I was already in talks to book my wedding at a different venue, the staff at The Villa were extremely friendly and patient (shoutout to Alyssa!) in answering our questions and showing us around. This would've been my 2nd choice to have a wedding here. Vietnamese couples - outside alcohol is not allowed, unless you're Vietnamese because it's part of our culture. My wife and I held our wedding here in December 2024. The staff here was amazing. Alyssa and Nikki were able to assist us with all of our needs. One of our biggest priorities for our wedding was good food. We were happy that Furiwa Caters directly from this location, so we were assured that the food would be cooked on the spot, fresh, and taste great. We had a few last minute additions to our wedding, for example, a Chinese Tea Ceremony over a traditional ceremony, which included a whole roasted pig. The Villa & Furiwa were able to accommodate this request, provide the pig, and cater the pig to our guests. We also requested for a late night potato (french fries & tater tots) snack, and they were able to easily do this as well. I am so long overdue, but better late than never, right? LOL Our wedding reception took place on 6/25/2022 at the Villa. We booked our reception venue back in 2020 and Alyssa was so amazing! She helped us with so much. She was always there to answer any of my repetitive questions via email. I cannot explain how much Alyssa and the team at the Villa went above and beyond for our wedding. Our wedding was incredibly beautiful. I wish I can relive the moment over again. My family and friends cannot stop talking about how delicious the food was. The 7 course meal Vietnamese style was delicious. I loved their lobster and garlic noodles. Hands down, the best. There is nothing bad I can say about Alyssa and the Villa Team. Alrighty, I just got back from my honeymoon and finally I have a chance to write my review. I had my wedding on sept 22, 2018 and it turned out better than I could have imagined it to be, for me and my wife. First and foremost, when we saw this place and met Melissa, we knew that the villa was the right venue for us. Getting married is very stressful, from figuring out how many guests to invite and to what kind of food to serve, but Melissa made our experience as stress free as possible. For you guys that are worried about numbers, well, let me break it down for you guys. We spent a little less than $60k total for everything that had to do with our wedding, including the wedding dress to suits for me and my groomsmen and even for 7 leaves coming to cater for 3.5 hours. Just wanted to give you guys an idea. Just to break it down a little further, the total spent for the villa was around $45k. They are affiliated with Furiwa, which is a popular Chinese restaurant here in garden grove and offered 3 different meal options for our wedding. Don't worry if you don't like everything because you are able to switch and or even add to your menu option. I was always told that at an Asian wedding, food costs around $1k per table, you'll be happy to know that I spent less than that per table booking with the villa. That's even after I added on a dish to make it a 9 course meal instead of 8. Wanna know what was served at my wedding? House special cold platter, crab and asparagus soup, candied walnut shrimp with shrimp ball, Peking duck w steamed bao, house special Maine lobster, basil and chili fish filet, French beef tenderloin ( add on), house special fried rice, and almond cream gelatin. Total for 29 tables plus the sweetheart table came out to be $21403. That's a really sweet deal, equating to $738 per table. And the food was AMAZING. As for as alcohol, I recommend just paying for top shelf. We initially wanted to do open bar all night long, and the price for that was $8k. But then Melissa suggested that we pay per drink and thank god we listened to her because we saved over $3k thanks to her. So our initial deposit for pay per drink was $3k and ended up paying and only an additional of $1500 at the end of the night. Oh yeah and if you're planning on putting Remy 1738 under every table, buy it from the villa because they're cheaper than BevMo and Costco. BevMo price $47 per bottle, Costco $45 and the villa $42. So go through them for your remy. The flower and lighting package we got totaled out to Be $6509. 78 including taxes. We chose to get married inside and what a great decision it was. It will be hard to imagine how beautiful your wedding will be when you see the inside of the villa but trust me when I tell you this, it will be perfect. Other small details. We were able to leave all of our desserts there the day before the wedding which was great because we got Porto's for dessert. The only thing was they only provide you w tables, you had to have someone put all the desserts out for you. During our wedding day the two girls that were assigned to us were great. They paid extra attention to details and always checked up on us, So thank you for that. My only complaint was during the cocktail hour my guests had to wait a little longer than they wanted to since we were only provided with one bar and 2 servers, i think 2 bars with 2 servers on wack would have been perfect. My brother also said that they were kinda slow too which is a bummer. But during dinner my guests had no issues getting drinks from the bar. I came a few months ago for a friend's wedding. It's a cute venue for a Vietnamese-American style reception. The place was decorated beautifully. Food- Vietnamese style. I am familiar with Chinese banquets, but not Vietnamese. It's similar, but not the same. I grew up eating Vietnamese food, and I can say that the food here is actually pretty good..... for a regular family dinner. However, I have higher expectations for a wedding reception in quality and dishes. Is it normal for a Vietnamese style wedding to have fried fish?? Parking- Valet Parking is the most annoying part. Majority of the reason why I gave this place 3 stars. The parking is only valet and like the other reviewers, I find it entirely unnecessary and a hassle. They have a decently sized parking lot on the side of the building. I can easily park my car myself and the attendant actually just parked my car where I going to park anyways. This is a LONG OVERDUE review as our wedding was May 28, 2022. We booked The Villa for our original wedding date in 2021 because the space was just too beautiful to pass up. Unfortunately we had to postpone our wedding by a year due to Covid, but Alyssa was amazing throughout the entire process. She responded to all of my questions and many follow up questions with patience and grace. I'm sure she was as stressed as the couples she was working with, but she didn't show it at all. She and her team were also very accommodating in arranging for my friend and cousin to tour the venue to help me plan (since I'm living in NJ and doing all of my planning from afar). On the day of my wedding, Alyssa, Natalie, and the team kept everything running smoothly. The venue was beautifully decorated and the staff was attentive to all our needs. We were able to come early to put our DIY decor together. My guests RAVED about the food (Vietnamese family-style) and still talk about it to this day. My only minor qualm (but not enough to take away a star) is that I wish they had an organized book of decorations they've done in the past or decorations they can do. Tucked away between a tire shop and the Westminster Motor Inn, off Beach Boulevard and Westminster, you'll find a beautiful wedding venue called The Villa. This place is truly a hidden gem. Parking is limited but they also have valet. This place is so gorgeous from the outside fireplace and hanging lights, to the inside with amazing lighting and spacious seating. The Villa has more of a Spanish-Mediterranean inspired theme, it almost felt like I was at an old rustic Vineyard in Spain. I was here to celebrate a friend's wedding. When we pulled up they only offered valet, it was complimentary (tips only). Once inside, it's a decent looking venue, but that's where all the positives stop. The food was really bad. We started planning for our wedding at the end of 2020 during the pandemic. We are so happy we found The Villa. The Spanish inspired interior won us over instantly. We were also very fortunate to have Alyssa Pepe to guide us along the way. She was very communicative, accommodating, and patient with all our questions, requests, and things to look out for during her experience with other peoples weddings. We don't know what we have done without her. We want to thank her so much for helping make our reception such a memorable night for our wedding day. The staff at the Villa were very professional and took care of so many things for us on the night of. Especially helping with COVID-19 preventative measures and constantly changing protocols. Alyssa was very calming and helped us along the way. This venue can be a little premium on the price but what you get in return is a very professional event space that comes included with the catering, florals, and lighting. We wish they were a little more flexible on the corkage fee for other liquors such as Tequila and Whiskey (they only allowed Cognac and Wine). The vendor insurance can be a little stressful too but at least you have peace of mind that the Villa takes outside vendors seriously. We recommend this venue for a max of 250 guests or below. Anything higher and it will get too crowded. What's the best part of this venue is having the Dining area and Lounge area separate. It provides a nice flow and a lot of breathing room for all your friends and family. My wife and I had our wedding here in April 2012, so we're an actual groom and bride (not employees or affiliated). We had a good experience here, and don't regret our decision. PRICING: By minimum food and beverage requirement, and based on day and season- so call. I think ours was $8000 minimum for a Sunday, off season. VENDORS: It's a pro in that you can get most of the food, bar, and decoration (up-lighting, chairs, flowers, linen, etc.) done at once. The con, is obviously the price...however, their pricing isn't too bad (we've researched). The Villa is comparable for some things, and slightly more for others. DECOR: The Villa has chiavari chairs (gold) included in the package for free :-). Booking a hotel, or renting them for a restaurant through event rentals will cost about $4-7 a chair. Up-lighting through The Villa is pretty average, unlike what other reviewers have mentioned. It was about $20 per light, which is comparable to how much most DJ's charge to do up-lighting. We got quoted $18-25 from most DJ's so $20 from the Villa is pretty reasonable. 20 up-light fixtures will fill the reception room, though we did 15 to keep costs down, and it worked out well. Flowers would probably be one of the more expensive things to rent through The Villa, but again, on the price range of an expensive flower shop. They included table centerpieces and a flower arrangement (at stairs/banister table). The only thing we paid extra for were the sweetheart table flowers (3 @ $50 each), and the manzanilla trees (2 @ $150 each- used for thank you photos, then moved to decorate cake area). Linens cost on the higher end as well. They included white linens but we paid extra to change to a colored one (chocolate). It was about $15 per table linen. Renting from an event rental place would cost around $8-15 ($8= no pattern). At least for $15, you get to chose the color and pattern that you want. We had about 3 patterns to choose from, for our color. Draping adds to cost as well, but we didn't care for draping, so don't remember the cost. There is no draping included besides the sheer white curtain that divides the waiting/bar room from the reception. The Villa looks nice without drapes anyway, in my opinion. We rented a projector, and screen for $300, which also included set up and running it. The reviewer that expected it for free expected too much, because most places charge for that, or don't have it available. You can rent from your DJ at a little cheaper, but ours didn't have one. FOOD: The food is the standard Vietnamese wedding food or American (if not catered by Furiwa). We had Vietnamese and our Vietnamese guests didn't complain, and our non-Vietnamese ones enjoyed their food. The cost of the food is on the higher end, but we expected that. The most important thing about the food here, is that it is Vietnamese wedding food, served in a non-tacky, non-outdated, and modern venue. Sure it's cheaper at Seafood ___ blah blah, but look at those places! DRINKS: We did a set amount in advance which lasted until 2nd meal w/ option to pay more the day of...cheapest route for us. COORDINATING: We had an awesome coordinator: Liz! Totally down to earth and experienced. She moved on to her own business Lizzy Liz Events. Definitely look her up if you need coodination! OTHER NON-TACKY PLACES, to consider for Vietnamese Wedding food in OC: Royal - grand looking, but too big and old style grand (not our taste) S Vietnamese - very modern, but smaller, less grand and food is served family style but per person (single item per person). Food is more modern Vietnamese (we liked but parents didn't). Mon Cheri- nice, and modern, but less grand. Cost only slightly less than Villa. Paracel - attended a wedding here after our wedding and it's pretty modern and nice. Concrete floors and draping give it an even more modern feel than the Villa. Though the Villa has more of a classic Spanish look which looks good. I'm sure Paracel is a lot cheaper but didn't inquire since we didn't consider it at the time. Hotel Room with Vietnamese catering - Very Costly. You can get the same look from the Villa, at less cost (decor included). CONCLUSION: This place is pretty cookie-cutter, but Modern American style cookie-cutter...not Vietnamese style cookie cutter...which we preferred. There's very few places that serve Vietnamese food that look as good as The Villa, and the pricing reflects that. You need to go in understanding you're using a whole event company, not just a restaurant, to be happy with their service. Definitely worth it if you're looking for a step above the standard Vietnamese place, and less costly than a hotel. Again I'd ONLY recommend if you want a Vietnamese style reception. Especially for Viet couples or mixed couples with non-Viet guests. 200 guests or less (to be comfy). read more

we started our wedding planning with lifetime weddings and events back in 2019. alyssa was our coordinator - she was super responsive and organized, and made planning for our reception relatively easy despite us living in the bay area and not able to meet with her as often to go over details together. the wedding packages are reasonably priced, and you are really getting a good deal for delicious food, service, and a beautiful venue! one thing that i was concerned about was how customized our wedding could be since we had to stick to the all-inclusive packages that the villa offered. alyssa really listened and worked with us to make our vision for our wedding a reality with the ambient lighting, the beautiful florals for the photo area, the centerpieces, the sweetheart table and backdrop, and the gorgeous chandelier for the dance floor. our wedding was also originally scheduled for april 2020 but we had to postpone to november 2021 because of covid - alyssa and team were very understanding and tried to accommodate for the changes as much as possible, which we really appreciated since the whole process of rescheduling and wedding planning during covid was very stressful. we had even thought about canceling the wedding but we're so glad we didn't. it was so good to see family and friends, after not seeing each other for years, and having something to celebrate together. alyssa and team made the day so memorable and beautiful and worked vigilantly behind the scenes to ensure everything went smoothly. everyone enjoyed the food and drinks, commented on how lovely everything was, and had so much fun on the dance floor. we had a great experience and would highly recommend lifetime weddings and events at the villa! read more

This place had my heart from the moment I first walked it and saw the chandeliers. It's most beautiful venue, I couldn't be happier with how everything looked. I booked this location way in advance because I knew it was the place we wanted to say have our wedding at. Every step of the way Emily answered every question I had and I truly appreciated all her assistance! I had so many compliments on the day of the wedding, how beautiful everything came out! My center pieces were exactly what I wanted, the sweetheart table was decorated exactly how I pictured, the food and service was amazing!!! Everything went so smoothly and it was all thanks to Nikki and the rest of the team! The only reason I don't give it a five was because my bridal and bridesmaids bouquet was not what I asked for. I went to the same wedding as Beverly T. and have to agree with most her comments. First of all, I was pretty surprised there was a venue like this in the middle of Westminster that focuses mainly on hosting wedding banquets. Since I wasn't the bride, I have no idea how much this place costs, but it's worth a look into. The banquet hall itself is huge with a large center dance floor and room for 250-300 guests to be seated comfortably in round tables. We were served a pretty good 8 course Vietnamese dinner. I enjoyed most of the courses, especially the first course of shrimp and chicken salad - the pieces of shrimp were ginormous and the shredded chicken was incredibly tender... and that dressing, yum! I wasn't a huge fan of the duck, but only because it was somewhat dry. The staff were incredibly competent, organized, and efficient. Every table got their food around the same time so no one had to wait for their food or go hungry. If you place your wedding in their hands, it doesn't seem like you'll have much to worry about! read more

Wooo impressive... I came here for a Vietnamese wedding last weekend. I thought the main room was elegant and the bar room was tasteful. The wedding has 300 people and it was comfortable. The tables are placed perfectly far away from each other enough were we can slide through to make alcohol runs easily. I also loved how the dance floor was much larger than those Chinese restaurants. The floor, ceiling and decor did not clash with each other. It is a beautiful banquet. The outside was also elegant and there was plenty of parking (although we had valet). read more

Came here for a wedding reception and wasn't impressed. The hall itself is spacious and that's great for having a big wedding reception. The neighborhood isn't the best, but I won't fault them for that. Parking was fine when we got there, although I could see it being a concern for bigger groups. The big issues for me were: cramped space pre-reception. Everyone was standing in the area right outside the banquet hall space and a smaller amount of people were outside. It's tough to pack a ton of people into a small space, but I'm sure that was so everything could get set up. They didn't have any trash cans available to throw away your appetizer napkins, or the pits from the dates that were being passed around. It probably would have suited them better to have the bar located outside, because I feel like some of the congestion inside was due to the long lines at the bar. Staff seemed fairly pleasant, but it definitely felt like "we do wedding receptions all the time and we know it". The food: I felt like the food itself was mediocre. The chicken, while it didn't taste bad, had the feel and look of frozen chicken that you can buy at the grocery store. Very cafeteria-esque. At the end of the night, I asked one of the waiters/bartenders if he had any bottled water so that I could give them to the bride. He didn't think so, but ended up finding some small bottles in the back which was fortunate. Note to management: Always have bottled water! For drunks trying to sober up or for a bride who probably has had very little to eat and drink all day. read more

It was my first time and my husband's first time at The Villa for a wedding reception last night. Most guests had to do valet parking because the parking area was very small. The interior was nice w/ the dim lighting and a separate "cocktail" area, which is separate from the dining room. This place is known for being just a private banquet room, suitable for weddings and special occasion receptions. It can hold a good number of tables - I think last night there were 30 tables (so 300 people capacity). Beautiful!! I'm so surprised by the other low ratings. My good friend had her wedding ceremony and reception here, and it was beautiful indeed. The reception space was both spacious and pretty! They use their own vendors for flowers. Parking is plentiful. Outdoor ceremony area is maybe for 100 or less people. Furiwa catering was really good. There is a great, spacious cocktail area that fits a photobooth, etc. There is a changing room for the bride. I would definitely recommend this venue! read more

Had our wedding here this past weekend. The wife has been in love with the venue since last year. Inside has a rustic spanish villa feel and they just remodeled the floors to a dark espresso floor. Overall experience was nice. Our guest had a good time. However, not all things will go as planned and we definitely wished The Villa was more clear and explicit with some of the wedding charges, details, terms and conditions. They are very strict with outside vendors. Alot of things are preferred to be booked through them. Definitely areas of improvement: 1) need to state in the contract that newlyweds will incur a $10 corkage fee even when buying bottles of cognac thru them. (We were told different by a previous employee of the villa, but were charged anyways after our file was handed over to a new coordinator) 2)We were not told that when doing the "grand sparkler exit" that we had to pay for a clean up fee and also had to buy our own sparklers! So all of our guest used their phone flash. Wife was bummed, we werent informed to get our own sparklers. 3) Lighting crew was not done setting up until 6:20pm because they had forgotten a longer electrical cord? The cord was dangling in the middle of the dance floor. Also they didnt extend our wedding time an extra 20mins to make up for the delay. Wow. We had to wait to do the empty ballroom shots with our camera/video crew. Also they had our names switched, should have been "groom & bride" but was "bride & groom" 4) make sure to give paying couples an itemized/ line by line receipt. I was given a receipt that showed "paid" and had to ask for the itemized receipt. 5) noticed some of the lazy susans were damaged and delaminating. Also the white dance floor(extra charge) was chipped all over and also some of the ceiling panels had water damage/stains. Please replace ! Small details can mean alot to customers, we are paying alot $$$ for the venue. 6) a complaint I got unanimously from many guest was: the bussers cleaning up the food before people could finish eating. They did not even ask the guest if they would like to have the leftover boxed to go. What a waste of good food. The Villa is definitely beautiful, we just hope they improve on some of the minor issues so that future couples will be able to have their perfect wedding. Really unassuming venue from the outside, but the layout is really thoughtful, spacious and overall pretty impressive. There's a ton of distinct areas, including a photobooth room, lounge areas for hanging out, multiple drink stations for cocktails, an outdoor area with a fireplace, and a giant room that can be used for both the ceremony and reception. They serve the typical 8-course banquet dinner that you would expect to find at an Asian wedding, but it's a fusion between Vietnamese and Chinese, so the flavors are a bit unique. We tried the prawn and roasted chicken salad, asparagus crab soup, candied walnut shrimp with shrimp ball, seafood braised duck, house special maine lobster, basil and chili fish fillet, house special fried rice and sliced oranges. Of the dishes, I liked the basil and chili fish fillet the best, even though it was a bit dry, but the crispy texture of the fish was good. The fried rice was bland and the duck barely came with any meat, but understandably so, considering most wedding food is never great since it's being made in such large quantities. I would definitely recommend this place for a future wedding venue, as it seems like you get a lot included if you book here - and you can't put a price on the added convenience of having everything you need under one roof! read more

Attended a wedding here earlier this month and had a great time for the most part! There was a cute walkway to the entrance and a nice cocktail area to sip on some drinks and take photos with the bride and groom. The reception area was also really nice and I liked the set up. The only thing that was kind of lame was that once you were in the reception area you had to walk all the way around back to the cocktail area if you wanted to get more drinks from the bar. The main thing that prevented me from having the best experience was the fact that I burned my whole thumb from trying to grab sauce from the table. They had some small candles set around the table, and the sauce bowl just happened to be next to one, so when I reached to grab some sauce the spoon was extremely hot and I was in pretty bad pain for the rest of the night and had a huge blister on my thumb for a week. The venue also did not have any burn cream onsite. I think that the servers should be more careful about where they place food plates on the table if there are going to be candles as well. During the whole dinner they have multiple staff to come to our sweetheart table and made sure that we had enough drinks, food, and time to enjoy ourselves. They also stick to the schedule and made sure to get the parents on board for table greetings and such. The bouquets were so beautiful! And our floral arch for the ceremony was so pretty everyone took many pictures in front of it. They even gave us a chilled champagne bottle for the bridal suite. What a nice touch! Not a fan of this venue. Recently attended for a friends wedding. Servers were amazing BUT what they served was not okay for the expensive price tag the place comes with. Bride selected basic chicken and potatoes - not something you'd think they could mess up but unfortunately it was. Chicken was very undercooked and not safe to eat. Looking around, many guests left their plates untouched as well. Hopefully the bride comes forward soon also. read more

As I read all the past negative reviews, I am so glad that it didn't deter me from booking The Villa, because it was the best decision my husband and I have ever made (other than marrying each other of course!). Pros: + Gorgeous venue/decor + Great coordinating + Delicious food + Liz and Nikki Cons: - Your wedding day will eventually end, LOL. The only advice I have to give is to trust. Trust Liz and Nikki and I promise you will ugly cry (in a good way). Your wedding will be stress free, your cheeks will hurt from smiling and your heart will be full of love. Let me just start with this.... BEST DECISION of our lives to have our wedding here at the Villa. From the beginning to the end. Nikki, Crisselle & Melissa were the absolute best in making our special day. A day we will never forget!The process from the start and the day of the wedding was beyond what we imagined. Our wedding was just this past weekend on 10/05/18 and I want to relive that moment over and over again. Our reception was beyond a fairytale. I was blown away in how everything turned out. We still can't get it off our mind in how everything turned out and how smoothly our reception was. My husband and I are so happy with choosing the Villa as our wedding venue. I had my wedding back in February 2018 and had such a fun time. During the few months before the wedding, I worked mostly with Melissa for flowers and decorations and Nikki for the food and beverages. The ladies at The Villa are super nice and helpful and they really made my wedding day possible. I dreaded planning the entire thing but Melissa reassured me and gave me hope lol. I don't think I could have done it without her and Crisselle. They were the two that set up my wedding and Crisselle stayed with us to make sure things ran smoothly all night. Their prices are fair because our guests loved the food and couldn't compliment the venue enough. We chose The Villa because they had the traditional Asian wedding food but with a much cuter setting! My husband and I still have relatives that would ask about our venue because they want to book it for their kids! Overall we are happy with our choice of venue. You should hire better valet employees. We were the FIRST one out of the venue at 9:02pm. Around 9:15pm is when people started coming out with their tickets waiting for their cars. Yet all these people got their car before us !!! People continued to get their car while we stood there waiting. I complained so many times and I've even showed them how my key fob looks like, yet the 5th time I've complained, the valet guy had the audacity to blame be that because I DIDNT show him how my key looked like he cannot find it. Ridiculous I even told him I SHOWED it to him and for the 2nd time I will do it again. We didn't get our car until 40 minutes later. Shitty service. Okay husband. It's time to propose, pick a venue/date, find a photographer -the works. And also, reveal yourself! Just keeding. I've attended a wedding here and oh my goodness, it's gorgeous. The cocktail area is spacious and exquisitely decorated -actually the whole building is exquisite. It has a Spanish villa feel -I guess that's why it's called The Villa? Hehe. The wedding had 32 tables set up and there was still a lot of room to navigate -dance floor was spacious as well! Plenty of parking, there was complementary valet, bartenders were knowledgeable. Great venue down the street from my house actually. There's even a Motel 6 nearby for the after-party. All jokes aside, this is a gorgeous venue. Ceremony and reception can be held here so it makes it easier for guests. From what I was told, this is a one-stop shop -The Villa provides food, floral, drapes and more. Wow. This is my first yelp review. I owe it to my wife who is still extremely upset about our wedding at The Villa in March 2012 to share my experiences with all the readers about how dishonest and unprofessional The Villa is. AMBIANCE I will admit, before speaking to any of the workers (John), I thought the ambiance of The Villa was nice. But we all know that the this is only part of the experience. You would think that for the amount that they are charging, you can expect that same quality in their service. But this is far from the truth. I'm not going to list all the issues but here are just a few so you can get a feel of my experiences. SERVICE My wife had several conversations (email and phone) with our wedding coordinator John prior to me ever meeting him. When the 3 of us finally met to go over some of the details for the wedding, I felt this guy John had the memory of a goldfish. He couldn't remember any of the details for our wedding, when my wife kept reminding him about conversations they previously had, he kept saying "I'll have to check your file". While sitting at the table discussing things with him, I couldn't help feeling like I was at a car dealership with a car salesman (John) trying to up sell us on all of the things I really wasn't interested in. It really got me thinking about how much this guy really cares about making our day special or if he's just trying to squeeze every dime out of us. Come wedding day, it was just more broken promises and let downs. 1. My parents were pissed off that The Villa just let guest file into the ceremony area leaving no seats for our family. The Villa was only able to clear out the first couple of rows leaving the rest of our family SOL for seats. They got to watch by standing in the back. The Villa only utilized 1/3 of the banquet hall to do a ceremony. Why they wouldn't expand the area knowing 2/3 of the banquet hall was unused and knowing we had more people than seats beats the hell out of me...as you read on it's probably their unwillingness to go above and beyond to satisfy their clients. 2. Video projector. My wife had been talking my ear off about shooting a wedding video and doing a same day edit during the ceremony for 9 months while planning the wedding. There was NO way that she would not have told John that this was something she wanted in the wedding. But on the day of, there was no projector. Which is not surprising since John somehow forgot all the details of the wedding when I first met him. Any class act, service oriented business would taken the blame and got us the projector. But this guy John had the nerve to tell my wife and put the blame on us by saying "you never told me you wanted a projector". He then tells us "don't worry, I'll get it for you", " don't worry, I'll take care of it for you" AND THEN CHARGES US FOR IT. 3. Reception. Somehow they messed up our seating chart and put my family table in the back of the room. Nobody was around to assist, so I had to got to 3 table to ask that they move so my parents could be in the place that they should be in. We we told The Villa that they messed up the seating, they told us that this was what they were given. Later looking at the seating chart my wife sent them, they were wrong again. Food was good but they messed up our dishes. We were supposed to have scallops, but somehow ended with fried fish. Not sure how you mess this one up when we had a dinner tasting a month earlier and the scallops were on the menu. If I could do it all again, I would not recommend The Villa. They are full of broken promises. Don't let them up sell you on items you don't really want. Just say NO to all the "free" upgrades they might throw at you that make you think "damn, this place is really looking out" because it is all a scam. They will charge you for every penny of it and will not give you anything back if promised. If we don't get what was promised in return, I will have no other choice than to file a complaint about The Villa to the BBB. To all you future husbands out there , just think twice before committing to this place. I am still hearing about this from my wife who refuses to let this go. The Villa is 3 stars for a reason and deserves to be less. read more

Do not come and have your wedding here. The staff was not helpful at all. I had an appointment and still had to wait for a freaking half hour. The white guy (whose name I forgot) who "helped" us was pushy and kept up-selling. He did not care about our special day, just about making his commission. He showed us the venue and I was disturbed when he made fun of the wedding that being set up for that day. Very unprofessional and rude! Everything was over priced and cheesy looking. Very cookie cutter but very expensive. There was no haggling and they would not work with us on the prices. It's highway robbery! You are better off having your wedding at another place where people are honest and actually care about helping you plan your special day. read more

When I planned my wedding, I wanted to have an intimate wedding and nice wedding so I chose The Villa vs hotel or restaurant. The main reason why I chose The Villa is Furiwa. Furiwa has catered most of my family's wedding and I wanted to continue the tradition. Our coordinator was Melissa. Melissa was straight forward. She did try to help you but you feel like you weren't talking to her because she had to defer to her boss every time. I felt like I was being nickel and dime for everything. I spent quite a bit on decorations. They didn't allow me to use an outside vendor for flowers. I did like the beautiful amsterdam roses and the effort they took in making my center pieces but I was not happy with my wedding bouquet and bridal bouquet. By the time we picked it up, it was already starting to wilt. I only went with them because it was convenient for me and I wanted to simplify things for the big day. I also disliked how they charged me $25 for a toss bouqet. Our wedding ceremony and evening went by so fast. I felt like they were trying to rush me so they can close on time. I barely got to eat any of the food I paid for! On top of that, they almost lost my remaining wedding cake. They also misplaced my tote of alcohol and my special bottle of wine. My husband went inside their kitchen to retrieve the tote because they were lazy to go get it. My friend had left her card for me at her seat. One of the waiter or helpers opened it, took the $120 wedding gift, then threw away the card. None of the workers tried to help or offered any apologies. I didn't get the gift but it was my friend's hard earned money. I felt a bit embarrassed by that. I also did not receive a complete invoice. I did meet up with Melissa after everything to pay the balance. It sucks that I had to do that on my wedding day. I'm sure there is a better way of doing this so that the bride can enjoy their day. Ok because I like the food of course and the decor (uplighting, monograms, intelligent lighting) came out nice read more
