Amber Water Pros - North - Complete Well Pump Service! How's Your Water?

Amber Water Pros - North

If you suddenly lose water and your well stops working, I would not recommend reaching out to…read moreAmber's in Peru. They advertise 24/7 emergency service, but it has now been over 24 hours and we never received a callback. For a water emergency, that level of communication was really disappointing and customer service lacking. So if you're having water or well issues, based on our experience, I would not waste your time with Amber's in Peru.

I had the pleasure of working with this local company last week. We needed a well expert and they…read morewere the ones to call. They were able to send someone out the next morning even supplying a time frame of when to expect them. I met Dlyan and I was able to explain what we thought was the issue. After listening, he worked very hard to restore our water. However, it was beyond what he could do on his own. He was thorough and explained all the possible solutions. Dylan then took it upon himself to call the office and see how quickly we could get on the schedule. We were able to get it scheduled quickly, and Dlyan came back with Austin to repair my water line from the well to the house. Everything was explained and what was involved in the replacement of the water line. They were even able to move a tree out of the way to be replanted when the job was done. I really appreciated the effort to save my tree. After working all afternoon, past dinner and into the evening they restored our water! I can't thank Dlyan and Austin enough for all the constant problem solving and keeping me updated. We were very thankful to have water again. They kept their promise and returned on the next business day to finishing backfilling the trench for the water line. Plus, they replanted me tree. I would highly recommend Dlyan and Austin with Amber Water Pros.

I don't typically write reviews -- mostly because I don't have the time, and rarely feel strongly…read moreenough about an experience to do so. But this situation absolutely warrants it. If you are considering Culligan Water, I strongly urge you to reconsider. My husband and I both work full-time and, like most people, value our time off. We are currently 20 weeks pregnant and wanted to address our hard water issues before our baby arrives. We understood this would be a significant investment and have spent years saving what most middle-class families would consider a large amount of money to fix this issue. From the very beginning, our experience was frustrating. When we first called, the receptionist struggled to locate our address, which extended the call unnecessarily. While not a major issue on its own, it set the tone. Things quickly went downhill after that. We were contacted by the water specialist, Diane, to confirm our appointment. At the time, I was checking out at a store and handed the phone to my husband. Diane was immediately rude to him, questioning why I had passed the phone and cutting him off when he tried to explain. She then informed us -- immediately after we had just scheduled -- that she needed to reschedule due to her own doctor's appointment. While we tried to be understanding, it raised concerns about internal organization. We rescheduled for March 25 between 10:00-10:30 AM. The day before the appointment, Diane called again asking for directions -- something we had already explained to the company. During this call, she stated, "If I can't figure out where you live, I'm not going to waste my time coming out there," which was incredibly unprofessional. I confirmed the appointment time again, and she reiterated the 10:00-10:30 AM window. The following morning, we were woken up by aggressive knocking at our door. It was 9:08 AM -- nearly an hour before the scheduled appointment. When I answered the door, still in pajamas, Diane insisted multiple times that I was wrong and that the appointment was at 9:00 AM. I showed her the official confirmation email from Culligan stating the correct time, yet she continued to argue and instead referenced her personal phone calendar as proof. At no point did she acknowledge her mistake or apologize. During this interaction, I became physically ill due to my pregnancy. While I was in the bathroom, Diane commented to my husband that it "made sense" why I was "grouchy." This was not only inappropriate but completely unacceptable. She then escalated the situation further by calling her General Manager and putting my husband on the spot to voice a complaint -- something we never asked for. She even misrepresented the situation to the manager, attempting to blame the receptionist instead of taking responsibility herself. To make matters worse, after all of this, we were quoted between $12,000 and $24,100 for a system -- for a 700 sq. ft. home with one small bathroom. We were provided no written quote, no documentation, and no water test results -- only a verbal estimate. When I later contacted the company to request our water test results, my request was routed back to Diane, who told us that any communication had to go directly through her. After everything that had already happened, this was incredibly frustrating and inappropriate. This entire experience -- from start to finish -- was unprofessional, disorganized, and frankly disrespectful. We went into this process prepared to make a serious investment in our home and were met with poor communication, lack of accountability, and unacceptable behavior. I rarely say this, but I would strongly advise others not to waste their time with this company.

These people are the worst. Going all the way back to when they first installed this system,…read morethey've been nothing but problems and bad attitudes. There's a little valve at the inlet to the system. It has seeped water since the day they installed this about 10 years ago. Their only solution was to mail me a part and expect me to repair their faulty installation. That valve seeps water to this day. I wanted them to do a bacteria test on the water coming into the system. I paid them to come out and take a sample. The guy showed up and insisted on taking the sample downstream of the system, when the whole point of he visit was to check it up stream of the system, before it came into the house. Then, even though the test wasn't what I wanted, I never did get any results. I called repeatedly about it. They would never let me talk to the owner, Everett. They always said I had to talk to someone else (who was never there) and would never call back. If you visit their website, it has an email address for contact. I have sent multiple emails to that address never a response. The only positive review they have, if not a shill review, was apparently written by a guy for whom something as simple as swapping out a clogged filter was equivalent to the Manhattan Project. Their office staff, Nicole in particular, has the worst customer service attitude I ever encountered. Don't like what they're getting from them? The office women make it very clear they could not care less. I will NEVER do any more business with these people.

Bubs Plumbing and Heating

Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.
