I can't believe how many times I have passed by this coffee shop and never noticed it. Walked in this morning at 8:40AM and got a very nice welcome from Mary. Actually, all of their employees. Place was packed. Wanted to see and know the sizes of the cups for me to decide which one to go with and the price difference. I went with a medium size hot decaf (one shot) Vanilla Latte with Macadamia Milk. Also got a Blueberry Muffin and a plain butter Croissant. I thought that they would also have some breakfast items like egg, bacon, sausage, cheese etc..they didn't. They only had plain bagel and Cream Cheese. My Latte tasted very good, on the flip side the Croissant wasn't as warm and fresh as I wanted for it to be. I asked the ladies behind the counter to warm it up again. The muffin was very fresh and delicious. Lauren handed me the Latte and my goodies. I don't want to dock a star for the Croissant, but it could have been a lot more fresh. Place was clean, with one gender neutral restroom, inside and outside seating, and the price was right for the 3 items that I got. $14.00 in total plus my tip of $2.00. Street parking only, woman owned, beautiful art work on their walls by famous artists, merchandise for sale, and nice music from the 80's playing overhead. Last but not least, under the businesses amenities page it says, no dogs allowed. It was dogs galore inside and outside. No offense to people who have dogs, but outside is ok, not inside.. read more

Nice location with a decent amount of street parking. Walked in and was instantly greeted by friendly staff. A good selection of pastries and beverages. I went with the ice blended Frappuccino and blueberry scone. The Frappuccino isn't too sweet and refreshing on a hot day. The blueberry scone was also "not too sweet" and went well with the blended drink. There is outdoor seating as well as an indoor seating area. It didn't get too loud even with the interior area being filled with patrons. Will have to try the Pistachio Latte next time I come. read more

First timer here ! It was super cute - like a little cottage like house. Has seating both inside and out, but not a lot. I got an iced vanilla rose latte, but only 2 pumps because I didn't want it too sweet. It was delish! And such a great price! There wasn't a lot of seating so my friend and I walked around the neighborhood. The staff was super friendly, helped me decide what I wanted to order lol. M Street Coffee is a delightful neighborhood spot for coffee! I stopped by with a friend to get some work done together in the afternoon and we really enjoyed the cozy and chill atmosphere. The staff are so friendly, and the coffee was reasonably priced too. I got the M street latte, which is a latte with a molassses/brown sugar sweetener, and it was a solid! They have free wifi and several tables, making it an ideal spot to chat or get some remote work done. The wifi was a tad slow, but manageable. Lots of neighborhood street parking nearby. read more

The perfect little neighborhood coffee spot! I've heard so much about this place and finally checked it out. It's nestled amongst a residential area, making it a great place to grab a coffee and go for a stroll, wandering through the neighborhood. They have some tables outside but not much and some seating inside too. Looks like a comfy place to come and do work, I spotted more than a couple of people on their laptops. I got an iced coconut macadamia nut latte (seasonal) half sweet with macadamia milk. I love that they have Mac milk as a dairy-free milk alternative, not just oat and almond. It was tasty! Stopped by M Street Coffee recently and it's easy to see why it's a local go-to. The vibe is super laid-back and welcoming--perfect whether you're grabbing something quick or sticking around for a bit to get some work done or catch up with someone. It has that classic neighborhood coffee shop feel that's hard to find. Coffee was good, I had an espresso (4 shots ) and a blueberry muffin that was PHENOMENAL. Came here at the recommendation of a coworker after having driven by this place for ages. M street's parking options are limited to neighborhood parking that could have you walking at least 1 block over if it's busy. There is very limited outdoor seating and limited indoor seating with tables that about 1/2 will be taken up by laptop users at any given time. On two separate weekday mornings, once I was able to find a table inside, the other time both inside and outside seating were completely taken. They do have free wifi. The baristas have been very friendly both times I stopped in. Chai Latte 1/5, ok so price wise this place is great! This chai latte 100% came from a bottle of the liquid chai concentrate mixed with your milk (+ a whooping $1 for alternative milk) the concentrate they used tasted almost sour? and then once blended thoroughly to integrate into the milk continued to have an odd aftertaste Matcha Latte 3/5, this was just okay. price remains competitive however my initial sip had a super artificial French vanilla-esc aftertaste that continued until the ice melted and presumably diluted the sweetener they use. Just taking time to find different coffee shops that aren't too far away from where I am in Sherman Oaks in this place popped up the other day, so I drove over. Very cute coffee shop vibe, not as sterile as some of the newer trend of your coffee shops. I love that they had a seasonal menu that included all things for like February and love, saw some raspberry and strawberry options, but I've decided to go with their Irish cream latte and croissant. If I'm being completely honest, I went back a second day in a row to get the same Irish cream beverage because it was absolutely delightful. I hate to admit it and then I'll probably go back one more time this week to try the strawberry mocha. Service was nice and fairly quick! read more

Their pistachio honey latte was not as strong in pistachio flavoring as I was expecting. However, I would still give the drink an 8.5/10. The coffee used is a bit bitter, but it contrasts the sweetness of the overall drink quite well. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. This spot has the best almond croissant and chai in the entire valley. The prices are very reasonable, my total was about $11 for a croissant and a medium hot chai with pumpkin spice and almond milk. Honestly, Starbucks could never compare. I'll definitely be back to satisfy my almond croissant cravings. I love that the chai has a subtle spiciness, and the croissant is filled with real minced almonds instead of the overly sweet almond-flavored frosting that most places use. The coffee here is just straight up good. I have loved to watch M Street explode in popularity over the years. Anyone in the Sherman Oaks area knows M Street! My most recent visit, I got the pumpkin chai latte and added two espresso shots. It was perfect! I loved that I could actually taste the pumpkin spice and it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Pastry selection is great if you need something to munch on with your coffee. I love their blueberry scones the best. This place gets pretty crowded so expect a line out the door on weekends. There is limited outside seating, but I usually end up being able to snag a table for two. Sometimes there are large groups that use up like half the seating outside, so I wouldn't recommend coming here with like a group because you likely won't be able to find seating. Though the inside seating is usually more available! Great people watching here and dogs galore! Service is good and I like the variety of seasonal drinks they offer throughout the year. read more

First of all, my husband and I have been to this fantabulous coffee shop for many, many years. Every time we arrive there is a line out the door. I had the pleasure of stopping by after having a fitness coaching session with a new client of mine. No line because it was early afternoon on a Thursday so I was able to have a conversation with the staff. The two young ladies, Lauren and P, were such sweethearts. Tried this spot for the first time today and it was BUSY. Parking is basically all residential so good luck! We got lucky and got one right up front. It's a small little coffee shop with a couple of seats and tables inside and outside but for the most part, they make drinks real quick and people are in and out in a heartbeat. Parking shouldn't be too bad! Line was basically out the door when we got there but it went by really quickly. I went for a medium iced pistachio latte since I haven't had one in a good year or so! Not many places offer it so I knew I had to get it. We also grabbed an organic dark chocolate hazelnut bar with pink sea salt which was just okay. Wish it had more salt, then it would be perfect! Absolutely loved the pistachio latte tho! Got my drink quick and snapped some photos outside. They're along this really pretty residential street with a row of palm trees on each side. Beautiful and perfect for photos! Looking forward to coming back to try their pastries and other drinks. Also, they have GREAT prices! I really love the energy in this coffee shop. It feels inviting and very community driven. The baristas were friendly and seemed to love what they do which is always a great thing to see. There's a ton of seating inside and outside if you plan on staying. I ordered the m street latte iced. It's probably better hot as the sugar probably dissolves better. M Street Coffee popped up on my radar, and I'm glad I gave this local cafe a try. Parking is available on nearby residential streets and only a one block walk during busier hours. Despite being a weekday afternoon, I was surprised with how packed it was. What made it so good? Upon walking in, I noticed their community shelves for small businesses to advertise themselves. The interior is spacious, and there is a sectioned area for tables. There are even standing table options by the wall and outdoor seating when those are filled. I ordered an iced latte, and I found these to be bolder and darker - though not bitter. The milk provided a hint of sweetness, but it barely peeked through, not quite my preference but not unbearable. Free Wi-Fi is available for two hours, and overall it is a nice low key place to hangout with friends or get work done. Because I keep asking them and forgetting the answer: the M Street Latte is a latte with muscovado sugar. The M Street Mocha is just a regular mocha. I usually order my mochas half sweet at other places, but here I enjoy it at their full sweet. It's perfect for me, so if you want sweeter, be sure to ask for that! I actually like the deserts and the coffee.. great hidden gem, prices are great but the only reason why I gave this place a 1 star is because the lady they have at the register who maybe an owner or something cause she's always there is so not very friendly and just comes across rude.. almost like she hates being there.
