We went for Sunday breakfast, seeing a full parking lot and crowded restaurant as a good sign. The farmhouse décor and the history on the menu's cover gave a great first impression. However, the food was awful. The steak was raw and bloody, not even close to medium rare. The hashbrowns were completely uncooked, white and crunchy-- a health hazard and toxic to consume. Despite sending them back, the replacements were just as bad. Even the bread was barely toasted. There was no seasoning at all, and everything was watery and soft. The menu advertised griddle breakfasts, but there was no trace of grilled, fried, or browned food. Our server was unresponsive, so was the cashier. I would love to support a local, family-owned restaurant with such a long history, but it was a huge disappointment. read more

We stumbled into this part of town and spotted this from the road. I can see where it could be a favorite for the area. The meal fell short. First off it's breakfast all day. Which could mean in the afternoon something like bacon hanging around since the morning could not be up to snuff. However anytime of day serving OM for OE eggs doesn't cut it. The signature is the hash browns and they are really good. We found it odd that a skillet breakfast isn't served in a skillet. What really surprised me was how delicious the water is. I love C's! It's one of my favorite breakfast places. It can get very busy on weekend mornings after about 9, but people move through quickly and there's usually counter seating if you're by yourself or with one other person. The service is usually quick, and the staff are always pleasant. My go-to order is the cinnamon swirl pancakes and the C's hashbrowns, for a nice sweet and savory combo. The pancakes are delicious and the hashbrowns are perfect! Some places serve very mushy hashbrowns, but these are crispy and full of cheese. The Wisconsin country skillet is also fantastic - it's not the most photogenic meal but it is so tasty. I prefer to get a biscuit instead of toast, and the biscuit is so soft. I'm a huge fan of C's and go here pretty often. I highly recommend stopping by! read more

I wanted to try every single baked good in the store, but I restrained myself and went with only one: the cinnamon roll. Now, a cinnamon roll is a really great base pastry. If you can do a good cinnamon roll, you can probably make other good baked goods. C's does a good cinnamon roll! It was a good balance between cinnamon and bread and icing. I am excited to try more of their baked goods. For food- C's gives you A LOT of food for a reasonable price. Don't go in thinking you are getting some high end bougie breakfast. Go in knowing you are getting good, family style, diner eats and enjoy. Their steak and eggs was well cooked and substantial. The breakfast sausage is exactly what you want from breakfast sausage. Why wouldn't all of that be chopped in? It would have been much more appealing. I ordered an omelet my way with ham, cheese and onions. Why oh why would you not use shredded cheese? To see slices of cheese in an omelette in atrocious. It's lazy cooking. We ended up leaving food on our plates to which the waitress thought we needed to go boxes. I did like the hash browns, very crispy and flavorful cooked with onions which had a caramelized flavor. Service did not check in quite often enough (one check in only) with a light Saturday morning crowd. Also forgot a side plate of eggs, but quickly recovered that. The baked items up front looked soooo yummy and decadent but I somehow found my will power to avoid them (I think because I was so full from the meal!). I came here for a late breakfast and would absolutely return here. The hashbrowns were plentiful and I liked that they were a bit thicker cut, but if I had a complaint it would be that I wish they were a bit crispier. For easily 10 years I have known this place as perhaps the desired hangout for the elderly I see loitering in the area. Covid caused an apparent stalemate, not seeing anyone whatsoever for so long that I figured it met it's fate. In my car while waiting for my wife's daily decaf (total waste of coffee beans and clean water) I pondered the existence of a restaurant focusing on breakfast dining. Old reviews raved about C's. Creating a buzz. I began to grow impatient. Yesterday I had dinner with a master chef friend who spoke glowingly, told me everything was made in house. Béchamel? Hollandaise? The menu too stated from scratch cooking. My kind of place. Like my own kitchen, home cooking doesn't include packaged gravies delivered from an envelope. This morning I decided it was high time I found out the answer. I first expected to do an Eggs Benedict. But instead chose the old standard biscuits and gravy. Hash browns and bacon. No sooner than I gave Tory my order, then she reappeared with the meal. 5 minutes. Not a very photogenic presentation. In fact downright dull. Each item on its own plate and because of the blandness of my actual order, it was very monochrome. A dull brown palette. The bacon being the textural contrast. Followed by some ketchup and Tabasco. Bacon was perfectly crisped and delish. Hash browns a nice softness with some caramelized crunch, seasoned exactly right. The gravy was lacking. Tasted generally ok, just slightly congealed, though fully hot. Probably microwaved. Lots of sausage, to be certain. The biscuits were drowned so I couldn't tell if they were drag or stale. Had this been served on a wide plate, everything would be written more glowingly. Had I thought to request a single over easy egg, again, I'd be singing to the glories far and wide. But I failed to think if that. Not failing to realize when I was approaching 1/3 into my meal, when I realized I wasn't nearly as hungry as I expected. A good meal and excellent customer service. Clean dining room. Absolutely cost efficient prices. Shockingly so. Even a few older folks to reinforce my long held belief that this place is perfect for my rapidly arriving old man years. I've driven past many times but finally decided to pick up some take out breakfast on my wife's birthday whilst she slept in a bit. She loves eggs Benedict. I got two kinds: traditional and one with pulled pork. The place was busy but the staff was absolutely welcoming and patient with everyone. Clearly many were regulars, but they were just as nice to me. Both bennies were really good. No skimpy Canadian "bacon" for the traditional. It was a great piece of ham. This place is cozy and has a nostalgic diner feel. There is charming wallpaper and decor that makes you feel like you are back in grandma's kitchen. Thee are both booths and tables inside as well as a small bar by the bakery section. I love that it is family run and owned. The service here is fast and friendly. They have a big breakfast menu with something for everyone. I had a Greek omelette and took half of it home- it was big and came with hash browns and toast! Their bakery items are homemade and it shows. We had a cranberry walnut scone as an appetizer and it did not disappoint. Despite being a smaller family run business, they do take cards. C's is my Walter White, their Cinnamon Roll Breakfast Sandwich is his Blue Crystal, and I'm Tuco snorting it up, excitedly reacting "tight, tight, tight!!!!". I have a problem and have become addicted to it, every Sunday... after church of course. I come here strictly for that Sandwich which is basically a finely baked homemade C's glazed cinnamon roll tossed up into the air and sliced into two halves with a hitari-hanzo sword crafted by mystical Japanese shaman blacksmiths. They carefully place two eggs and ham within the two halves, as a homage to Dr. Suess except they're not green, but the cook is clearly a seductress, so they throw in 2-3 extra strips of bacon and slap on melted cheese right in the center of that sandwich, cause why the F not. But the side kick to this hero are C's classic hash browns that ride the batmobile in a considerably large portion surrounding the Cinnamon Roll Sandwich, also completely covered in cheese..cause you're this far in, there's no going back, so just Fing let it happen. You'll find yourself around mostly elders and families while dining here. I worked at C's from 2014-2020 and I would work for them forever if I wasn't moving away for Law School! C's is a wonderful family owned diner that feels like home as soon as you walk in. This feel comes from a mix of the cozy and fabulous ever-changing decorations and the friendly faces all around! I loved working for and with the C's family, they treated me like one of their own.
