brought my car in because i kept getting a "car will shut down soon" warning. called the dealer, was told that itll cost 200 for diagnosis. then 900 for what i needed, which was replacement of both batteries. took my car here and was charged 480 for everything. car runs great. ill be bringing it here from now on. read more

I've been coming here for about 2 years now. They're really friendly. They fixed my car quickly - hubs and bearing, transmission, wheels / tires, and other things. It has always been done relatively quickly. The oil changes are also quick and inexpensive. Oh, and they also can get Toyo Tires and XXR wheels! On 6/24/14, I came over here to get a wheel stud installed because Costco managed to break it when they rotated my tires the previous day. Costco offered to cover the replacement and recommended that I come to CSC Tire & Auto Service so they could do direct billing without me having to pay anything out of pocket. My dealer would have charged $260 for labor to replace the stud. CSC charged $50 for the same service. I stopped by CSC the previous day 6/23/14 to scope out the location and spoke with the lady who was in charge. She recommended that I come back the following day since they were booked and that was fine with me because I had to be in the area to pick up the stud from the dealer the next day. After picking up the stud at the dealer, I came over to CSC to get it installed. The wait time was about an hour, but they had one car before mine. One of the employees offered me a ride to the local LA Fitness because I wanted to be productive with my time instead of waiting around. After my workout, I walked back to CSC and my car was ready! The entire staff was very friendly and empathized with my situation. Apparently, the stud replacement is very common. I was very appreciative of their help and service, especially because I didn't have to pay anything for it. I showed them my Costco receipt for their billing purposes and that was it! Horrible Horrible Horrible! My husband and I got a flat tire while in town and needed to replace it. It had popped, we were visiting from WAY out of town and needed it fixed ASAP. This was the closest place we found. Got there and not a single person greeted us nor acknowledged we were there. We had to hunt someone down for help. The lady who finally helped us was as dumb as a rock and didn't know what she was doing. She then proceeded to tell us for ONE TIRE it would cost over $300 and we had to wait over an hour for them to ship it from the warehouse. No thank you. Went next door to a Nissan specialist shop(sadly they didn't have my tire size but were SUPER nice and helpful and recommended a shop down the street). Found the new shop, got A NEW TIRE for $130 and was in and out in 30mins. :) CSC-Get your act together and hire people who know what they are doing. read more

Worst experience I've ever had... Anywhere!!! The long story short is they ruined my wheel and refused to pay for it. The detailed story is below. I start off bringing my car in for a flat tire. In a stroke of bad luck both my passenger rear tire and the spare went flat in the span of two days. I ordered my tires online and brought them to CSC. I drop off the car for 2 hours and when I called back the guy who worked on my car, John, begins to explain that I had "wheel damage" on one of my wheels. At first I thought maybe I had damaged it myself until I thought back. When I arrived the wheel that had the damage wasn't even the flat one!!! It was the rear driver side wheel!! I know because it was the only wheel that was missing the center car logo on it!! How could I have given my wheel curve damage if I never park on that side? let's just say on the off chance he switched up the center caps on my car, I would have noticed the damage when I removed the wheel myself. This guy John starts to go on about how he is offended by the fact that I would accuse him of the damage. I wasn't rude in any way but he immediately got defensive. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me he was the manager. I paid and left and told him to ask the owner to call me back. I never once received a call from him despite calling several times and asking. I finally go to shop and find the owner. He simply tells me to talk to the manager. The same guy who ruined my wheels!!!! At this point I'm absolutely upset. I leave and now I'm definitely going to the better business bureau. I would never send any one to this place ever. read more

This shop was recommended by a co-worker. Found place to be pretty descent for an independent. I mean I'd be ok with my GF going there by herself (they have a lady working there). Staff was friendly- tech seem to know what he is talking about. Gave me a very detailed going over of my car (I do some of my own work, he was pretty much on point). Took my GF's car for an oil change and found out they have a loyalty program too where you get a free oil change. Price not the cheapest in town but very compatible. Great first time experience. This place is a joke! I went for an oil change for my Scion tc 05, and after the oil change he called me over and said "Oh your transmission fluid needs to be changed now or else it will mess up the transmission and you would have to pay $2000 to replace. I change for you for $65" I don't know much about cars but I do know not to jump right to saying "ok, change it". Instead I went across the street to California Auto Service, and they told me "That man is crazy, you don't need to change it. Might i add I'm asian as well and they spoke to me in cantonese... but really WTF! They just wanted money! NOT A GREAT PLACE AT ALL!! read more

I came here to fix a brake light that wasn't turning off, and they convinced me to also change my spark plugs, water pump and timing belt. After spending $650, my car suddenly has occasional trouble starting up, and 3 weeks later all the freon leaked out of the a/c system! Really suspicious. All I needed was to remove the tires from the wheels (which were already off the car brought them in a truck) and they said it would be $18.50...each! So just to remove the tires from the wheels it would be $74! Outrageous ...went further down valley to another tire shop and got charge $20 for all 4. Not bashing on their business but their pricing is ridiculous you can easily find better deals with a little more searching. read more

Great customer service. Mechanic was able to figure out the noise clunking from my car almost immediately. Explained problem clearly so a girl like me who knows nothing about cars can understand (cv joints). Reasonable price (got second opinion from dealer before having them do it). Convenient to CSULA. My father saw that I had a flat tire, so I brought my car into CSC Tire & Auto Service. Sergio took care of me and replaced 2 of my tires (another was worn) the day after. He also filled the air in my spare tire and refastened the nuts on it because I had to switch to it the day I brought it in, and I had put it on backwards. For me, that was great customer service. My vehicle required more work than what Costco stated but the Service Tech completed the service to a perfection. Highly, ethical and full of integrity and reasonably priced. I originally took my car to a tire shop across the street a few blocks down but they don't have the right size in stock for me so I found this place as I drive down valley blvd. The place doesn't look appealing outside but the owner and my mechanic are down to earth, polite, very helpful and transparent with their prices. Worst experiences I have ever had. Went there to install my tire and ended up the manager Patrick broke my tire sensor, the most ridiculous thing is he told me that my part was being broken already and he tried to run away from it. What a attitude trying to blame on your costumer when you break their part. He ended up admit he broke it and will pay for it. I went to the dealer to get my car fixed cause I don't trust his service anymore. I think the event will end but when I came back for getting the payment, he told me if I can pay half of it cause he didn't know how he broke it. Would NOT recommend this place!!! Recently took my vehicle in due to overheating. I knew it was the radiator but just wanted to make sure. Instead these guys tell me I need a new timing belt, thermostat, and obviously a radiator but the timing belt and thermostat had just been changed less than a year ago!! RIP OFF!!! This is the place to go! They have the best service in town. I knew the owner for almost 20 years. He passed away a couple of years ago. Now, his son, Atty. Vincent Chang, also the Monterey Park City Clerk, continue his Dad's business despise his busy schedule. I was very fortunate he was at the repair shop when I came by to have his mechanic just to check my car. His mechanic, Raymond, discovered some belts and hose need to be replaced and it was already late in the afternoon. I owned an Acura Legend, and the dealer in Alhambra didn't have the parts. So, Vincent went we out of his way and drove to the dealer in West Covina to get it. He was very thoughtful. Since I came all the way from Orange County, I might encounter some problem if I didn't get it fixed. I am very grateful to have such a good friend. read more

Just wanted to throw a shoutout at this place. I'm surprised they don't have any reviews here. Been having some difficulties with my wheels shaking on the freeway for a while on my SUV. Took it a shop near my work in LA before and was told I need a new set of wheels! WTF!!! I have chrome 22". Times are hard - can't do that right now. Anyway, took it to CSC after a recommendation by a neighbor and the mechanic was able to get rid of it for me. He took it for a test drive on the freeway (he let me stay in the car too) and after balancing the wheel... it was gone!! Woohoo! I've taken my car to several car shops in the San Gabriel Valley to do a wheel alignment, but none of them gave me satisfactory results. My car would still veer to the side, so I basically wasted my money. I was about to give up with taking my car to independent car shops until a friend of mine told me about a family-owned auto shop called CSC Tire & Auto Service in Alhambra, CA, which does a very good job on wheel alignments. When I went ther, I was skeptical about it because the shop looked kinda old and was full of inoperative/junked cars parked in the lot. But hey...I gave it a shot. The head technician there, along with his assistant, did my wheel alignment within one hour, and I was very surprised with the results. My car drove straight like an arrow! I was very thankful. On top of that, the price for the job was cheap compared to most shops (~$70 including tax). I'm happy with my experience with CSC Tire and Auto Service. The staff there are very friendly, cooperative, hard-working, and never cut corners nor persuade you to have unnecessary services done to your car. I recommend this place to anybody! read more
