Took two of my cars and I bought new tires for each... it was very inexpensive, which should've been the first red flag. We walked away to grab something to eat the cars we're done. They looked like brand new tire tires.. 3 months out my tires, have dents and cracks. I called the business it's closed and I called his Personal Cell number and it's disconnected from what I heard, He closed the shop and moved out of state. If the owner of the shop ever reads my message, I would like to speak to you. This is not acceptable selling us used tires. I saw the other reviews and you have ripped off many people. Been here a few times to repair a punctured tire. What I like is that business is conducted primarily on casual walk in basis. No need for an appointment, just show up and wait. As it's near work, super convenient as I can grab fish tacos next door (another review). Owner is courteous and gets the job done fast. Would recommend. read more

I was towed there with a flat tire, and when things got shady I began questioning the 'owner' EDWARD CARRION every step of the way. He started yelling at me to get out of there; he wasn't going to repair my tire! I was stranded but he kept insisting I leave until I was begging. No effect on him. Then crying. He finally relented (maybe b/c his POOR wife and kid in earshot in the office). Repair guy never even balanced the tire, but was just hopping to it b/c I am sure he gets his ass kicked too if he doesn't follow King Mexicali's whims. I should've insisted I see the puncture, and taken a picture of the tire. The icing on the shit cake was EDWARD CARRION wanted to be paid in cash or Zelle -oh no, he's not evading taxes. I was recommended to this business by Gilbert Motors which use to be the previous business at this location.... Worst recommendation I've ever received. In my experience, I had a nail found in brand new tires I just purchased from Gilbert Motors but they said they don't do tires servicing so I was told to go to Mexicali tires. I went in and and I watched them remove my tire, put it on the machine and while I was watching the guy do his job, the owner comes out and starts to chat or more so just look me up and down or to distract me from the faulty work his guy was planning on doing. I should have left when I asked the guy if he was from Mexicali and he said he's not even Mexican, he said he was Peruvian. When all was said and done I was charged $25 cash and given no receipt..... since the "repair" every week my low tire pressure light comes on and it's the same tire that was "repaired" at Mexicali tires that keeps leaking and needs constant attention.... I might as well have bought a new tire from anywhere else and I would not have this issue.... Granted I had this experience 2 years ago! I went in to remove a nail and that's exactly what they did... they removed the nail but somehow they convinced me that the tire was patched up.... I drove around Alhambra and stopped at a few tire spots before making a final stop here. All the other tire shops told me that my tire was not fixable and recommended me to just purchase a new tire or two since I had about 35,000 miles driven on them in four years. They were all nice and gave me estimated quotes so I told them I would think about it.....about $440 for two Nexen tires and $1305 for a set of good year tires were a couple of these suggestions. However I didn't give up and did some more yelping research and found this amazing hidden gem named "Mexicali" tires auto repair. I met the owner Edward, told him what I needed and he went straight to work. He put a jack under my car and took my tire off, did his diagnosis and within minutes found the problem! I was so happy that my tire was patchable and didn't have to buy a new one yet. The whole process took about 15 minutes and $25 later I was a happy satisfied customer. From the brief conversation I had with Edward i found out that his shop opened up here in Alhambra a little over a year ago but he was previously an auto repair business owner in the San Fernando Valley for over 16 years before relocating here. I closed down my shop (quick stop tire center in Alhambra) and had about 100 used tires that I was selling, this guys just opened up his shop and he didn't have any money and tires, but wanted my tires, I thought I was being a good person by telling him you can pay me slowly. I was trying to help him out, after 10-15 times of trying to collect, he ended up never paying the balance be careful this guy is a CROOK. While owning me few thousands of dollars, I took tires for him to install, he charged me $50 per tire to install and $8 a tire for disposal, CRAZYYYY DISPOSAL FEE IS 75 cents This guy is a crook and scammer, he STOLE someone else google reviews and page, he opened up his business last year's but he has reviews from 5 years ago. The tire shelf the red and black one outside is also mine which he never paid me for. Everyone in Alhambra that knows me, Roni/Tommy from quick stop STAY AWAY, he over charges and lies about everything. The alignments he can only adjust the toe, he doesn't know how to do any camber/caster adjustments I Will also send a mass text to all my customer (over 6500 people) to stay away from this liar and thief! Wow what a hidden gem! I live down the street for 7 years and never even knew about this place. I had nails in my tesla y front right and rear right tire. They only charge $25 to pull it out and plug. However, my tire was also 49k miles and running dull, the owner was super kind and order the tires 255/45/r19 the same day. 3 for only $600! Installed and balanced! He would have done the alignment as well but unfortunately his rack is only for sedan not suv or trucks. Had him check my brakes as well and he was honest and told me its still really good no need to replace! Highly recommend this place! read more

SEXUAL HARASSMENT I went to get my tire aired &' the employee was trying to High ball the prices to pocket the change , &' we told him no we weren't interested, he was there by himself. My boyfriend goes off to the side to talk my suegra .. n he brings me to the side and tells me " flash your ti**tes and body and I'll give you everything for free" and he tries to get closer to me , we went back to get proof and my boyfriend tells him " we come to negotiate prices and get work done by you and you disrespect my lady ?" and the former employee says " you guys were broke and I wanted to get something free out of it , why couldn't I?" SCAMMER Owner is the most hostile person i've dealt with. He has upcharged / SCAM fees written on the chalkboard just so he can "offer a discount" which is still overpriced. The tricks don't fool us man, $15 to just UNMOUNT a tire off a wheel is ridiculous. I asked for him to balance a tire which most shops require before giving the wheel to the customer (i've worked at a few shops before) and he said it's an another $15. I wouldnt have wrote this review if he was a normal person, but he started yelling like i was a scum bag for even asking about a balance. He starts pointing at the sign, implying that he's going to charge me a higher price than what we agreed upon, says "take your old tire too", lies about disposal fees and tried to belittle me. I went to a tire shop close to my house and just patched the tire. Kept driving until engine lights told me tire pressure was off. Went to Costco and just tires and told me they couldn't fix it and I'd have to buy a new tire for ab $240 including installation and tax. Went to mexicali and Edward fixed the patch and another nail that got in there that no one told me until I saw it myself. Paid a very small amount. Gave him a big tip. I'll be recommending this place to all my friends and family. He also told me next year, he will have alignment service. I'm sure it will be cheaper than the rest and just as great. read more

I went to the tire shop and they sold me 2pairs of used tires when on the phone I asked for 4 used tires all the same brand. Terrible customer service and care , plus when I looked at the tires all the lug nuts on the two front tires were loose and one was missing and the other one was stripped. Now I have to go buy new lug nuts for the front tires . Don't buy anything from this place because it's a ripof. If i didn't check the lug nuts and tighten them myself it would have ruined everything on the front of my car. read more

called just now for a used tire - what we in the business call a "roller" a p.o.s. just to move a car around a shop while working on it and even though i told the dude on the phone it was a 14" tire/wheel he asked me 3x - i said hey it doesn't even have to be a specific profile - 65, 70 , whatever. He said he had some so i said 'what do you want for the WORST one" ? he answered -- 50.$dollars - By the way the tires for this car and wheel BRAND NEW average $35-65 dollars.. This place left a bad taste in my mouth. Stopped by Friday 5/27/22 to purchase a new tire since mine had a bubble in it. The owner was very nice at first ... told me he didn't have a used tire for my car in stock but he could quickly get one. He explained my tire was too dangerous to drive on and that he had a slightly larger used tired he could put on while he searched around for a tire. Once he put the tire on he said it was cash only for a deposit. No problem I had $50 cash so I gave it to him. Today Tuesday 5/31/22 he finally called me to tell me he found a tire for a crazy high price and if I wanted him to order it. The price didn't sound right since I did some research on my own already. I called another place in El Monte they said they had my tire for $150 less than what this guy was trying to charge me. Just because I have a higher end car doesn't mean you can try and price gauge me! Long story short I called him back letting him know I found a better price and I'd gladly drive straight there from the tire place to bring his tire back. Once I got there I assumed I'd be paying a tire disposal fee at minimum 25-30 bucks. Keep in mind I couldn't really use the tire since it was larger than what my car needed to begin with. NOPE he had the audacity to tell me the tire sells for $100 what else could I give him? I said excuse me I'm bringing back your tire and I barely used it. He said well you still used it. Ok... but your still going to sell the tire to someone else for $100. I told him he should've explained up front that he would charge me the cost of the tire if he couldn't find my tire. I told him just to keep my $50 I'm not giving you anything else That's even too much and he said I guess that's fine. I would never ever refer anyone here. He could've gained a lot of potential customers but instead he chose to be greedy and take advantage of me. read more
