Appointment took 2 weeks to get got there at 2:49 for a 3:15 appointment, it is now 7:52 and I am finally leaving, to top it off they gave me my car back with a check engine light on, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was wrong with the car but the tires, this is my 4th time bringing it in for them to fix the same tires again, they forgot to balance it then the third time they forgot to make the car relearn itself. I don't recommend getting the Costco service, you will be on hold FOREVER. Came in with an appointment at 6:15 and arrived at 6:10. I was told that it would take 1-1.5 hours. I went to check in on my car after an hour and 40 minutes. They asked me for my car model and went to check. When he came back he asked me what my name was, because there was the same model car under another name. Turns out this was in fact someone else's car and mine hadn't even gotten entered their tire center. I was told maybe 30-40 minutes more. Horrible experience. The only reason I bought my tires here was because of their warranty. I think I can get somewhat similar prices and warranty elsewhere without having to wait over two hours. I had an appointment, so I was able to skip the line -- and it was very busy for a Friday morning! I purchased four tires, and they were able to replace all of them. My appointment was at 10:45am. After dropping off my car, I went shopping inside, then waited on the bench in front of the tire center until they were done. They finished by 12:30pm, which is great considering how busy it was. If you have an appointment, enter through the regular entrance and walk to the tire center, which is next to the optometrist and membership services. There are two lines: the left is for appointments, and the right is for walk-ins. Gilbert assisted me up front and was super friendly and helpful! Nick and Jimmy were the tire technicians who worked on my car, and they did a fantastic job. Thank you!!! Everyone there is working hard--they're servicing about six cars at a time. From drop-off to pick-up, I'd estimate about two hours. I'll definitely be returning to get all future tires serviced here at Costco Alhambra. read more

Unfortunately, their tire warranty is misleading. We provided all required documentation, including proof of tire rotations and alignment. The tires we purchased were advertised to last five years, yet they only lasted one year with minimal use. Despite meeting all warranty requirements, they refused to cover any of the damages that should have been included. I brought my truck in for new tires and was shocked to find my rim scratched when I came to pick it up. I immediately reported it to the supervisor, who handled the situation very unprofessionally. Instead of acknowledging the issue, he outright denied that their machine could have caused the damage even after I explained that my rims were in perfect condition before the service. I showed him time-stamped photos and the service invoice, which had no pre-existing damage noted. Only then, and with visible frustration, did he grudgingly hand me a form to fill out-without so much as an apology. The lack of accountability and customer service was unacceptable. Brought in my car because I had a low pressure icon pop up in my car. Appointment at 1 . Guy tells me an hour to an hour and a half. I go inside Costco walk around come back 1:52 car sits there until 2:50 pm with no one touching it. I call for an update , 15 min for a patch. 3 pm and still not done. I pre-ordered tires in the store, they never called to tell me the tires were in, and I couldn't get through on the phone so I went in and made an appointment. I was quoted 2 hours wait with an appointment, and it took almost 4 hours. I was really mad. Then I drove my car away and all was forgotten. Best place to get your tires, those guys work so hard. The value is undeniable. Just don't wait for them, drop off the car and wait for the text that the car is ready. The workers there hear so much complaining and it isn't their fault. The customer service here is seriously lacking. I dropped my car off at 4:30 PM on Sunday--plenty of time before the store closed at 7 PM. No one called me with an update, so I had to show up unannounced. When I arrived, I found my car parked and unattended with the driver-side window halfway down. By 7 PM, the shop was closed from the warehouse side. Fortunately, there were still a few mechanics working. I asked one of them for my keys, and they handed them over without verifying my identity--no formal checkout process whatsoever. I could've been anyone asking for the keys to a Subaru Outback. To top it off, I still don't know if they actually addressed my tire issue. The Michelin CrossClimates I bought are extremely loud on my Outback. After this experience, I'd seriously think twice before buying tires from Costco again. read more

I had a scheduled appointment for 4pm just for a simple rotation and balanced, arrived on time they took my vehicle said it would only be 40 minutes to an hour wait, I came back within the hour and that's when I notice my car was barely getting serviced at 5pm a hour into.i didn't end up leaving the tire center until 6:45pm! I have been a Costco member since 1995, back when it was still Price Club, but my recent experience with Costco Tires in Alhambra, CA was very disappointing. I called at 9:00 AM on a Sunday and spoke with a representative who assured me that my Tesla tire (with a nail in it) could be repaired, even though I didn't buy it from Costco. Based on that, I went in at 10:03 AM, spoke with an employee named Mario, paid for the service, and was told again that the tire could be repaired. However, almost three hours later (at 12:43 PM), I got a call from another rep, Jerry, who informed me that my tire couldn't be repaired because it wasn't purchased from Costco. This was a complete waste of my time and shows a lack of coordination and care for customers. As a long-time member, I expected better. Costco's service used to be reliable, but it seems like they no longer care as much about their members. read more

Costco Tire Center in Alhambra USED TO BE good. I have bought tires there for 10+ years. Nowadays, even if you don't mind the waiting, it is a just a scam center. Good luck trying to get your tire rotation, flat repair or the warranty. They will refused those services with the excuse that your tires were not rotated (even if you did). They will tell you that you will need to buy 2 new tires ... every time. Recently, they said they will not repair my one flat tire (a nail) and if I want to change the set, they have my replacement tires for an X amount. When, I caved in to changing my tires (because I lined up, waited and just wanted it done), they called me back within minutes, asking me to approve an upgraded ones that are $100 more than what I was quoted or no repairs will be done. They were very rude the whole time as well. Don't buy tires at Costco Alhambra tire center. If you think it's a good deal with 5 year warranty, free rotation, free flat repair. Think again. I've never been to a tire center that worked so slowly. I showed up half an hour early for my appointment to either fix (or replace if necessary) one tire. I ended up shopping for over an hour with no callback, and then waited for another half hour plus for the fix to be done. Costco gets a lot of things right. I love Costco, but never again for tires or tire service. Almost two hours for a tire repair is ridiculous. Seems like they might be understaffed. Good thing I didn't buy popsicles! Perhaps they do this on purpose so I get to shop and spend even more money at Costco while I wait? read more

What a shit show. Had to take my car there three times in a about a week. Had a flat tire so they changed the stem and Added air. But the tire went flat three days later, so they just repeated the same thing two more times and still they don't know what's wrong with the tire. They don't communicate with each other at all. Joe, the service guys says we'll fix it. But the guy fixing the tire does not know this is the my third time there so he just adds air. And said the tire checks out just fine. The tire is not fine and it will take about three days to go flat again. So in the end I ended up buying two new tires. My concern is they will sell that tire as a used tire and somebody will have to go through the same crap as I did. What a fing joke. read more

Tony is the best! I got a flat on a late Sunday afternoon and he said that I could come by and he would take care of it right away. Even though he was busy taking calls and managing so many customers, he took the time to talk to me about my options. He was honest about the condition of my tires and gave me the best advice as if he was talking to his own family member. I ended up getting all 4 tires replaced and I didn't have to wait long. I'm sure it's incredibly tiring for Tony and his team to keep with the volume of work that they get, but he was still so friendly, patient, and attentive. This is what customer service is all about! The best part of being a member is you get good discount from gas to tires. Costco Tire Centers are known for their professionalism, long wait and online appointment. I was in need of new tires and did a walked-in on a weekday and luckily there was an opening that afternoon. Hurray! I bought four new Bridgestone All Season tires with a $150 discount! They said they may need three hours to install all of my four tires because it was a busy day. Thus, I shopped and strolled the Costco Warehouse to pass the time. I had a nail in my tire and thought I needed to replace it, but Tony was so lovely and sweet and patched/sealed it for me, saving me $160 for a brand new tire. My mom and I got our tires replaced here with our old cars a few years ago. It was understaffed and I had to wait over 5 hours when I dropped it off on the same day. Recently I got a nail stuck in one of my tire and I dropped off my car for same day service and it took about 5 hours without an appointment. They repaired my tires and they provided good service! I had an excellent experience at the tire center today. I went in for a scheduled tire rotation appointment. I was priority checked in because of the appointment, and they completed the job faster than anticipated despite being extremely busy. When I picked up my car, I brought my paid-for groceries with me, and they helped to mark off my receipt and even held open the side door so I could wheel my shopping cart out. We ordered 4 Michelin tires online and had an appointment to put them on at 930 am. The check in was smooth, and we went shopping at Costco while we waited. We were told the wait would be about an hour. $1100 and 3 1/2 hours later, the car is still not ready! No notice or updates either. Also, The shop does not do alignment. Even with an appointment, there is an extremely long wait and slow service. The only upside is that Costco has good warranty on tires. read more

Competitive pricing on tires. Installation is quick. Granted, it is just really installation reason the service is fast. Alignment check is not included. JustTires includes additional services during installation at no charge. But you need to wait longer than hour. I did all 4 tires for my 2014 Prius PHV with TPMS sensors so it's an hour or some few minutes. I did went earlier than my scheduled Installation of 10AM. Reason 4 stars? They are not consistent on records. Some customers they will ask for the mileage of the vehicle and have that reflected on the sales order or work order. The mileage on my paper sales order/work order is blank. That information is very important to me as I keep records of what is/was done on which/what mileage. Friendly staff. Appointment is required. However, you if you want take a chance for any available slot for installation, then call them first. I have never seen happier employees than the Tire Center employees at the Costco in Alhambra. Everyone is so nice and caring. When I first got my car, one of the employees helped teach me how to fill up my tires with air. When I purchased new tires in January, the employees were extremely thoughtful. I was having other problems with my car and Tony's service was superb. He recommended a close, honest place for me to get my car serviced and checked in on me the following day. Tony is truly a legend and I hope that he gets the corporate recognition that he deserves! read more

I love Costco but their tire center has poor customer service. Whether it was a phone call or in person interaction, I was met with an attitude and the employee was unwilling to assist. They wouldn't give me any information until a gave them my tire size which I didn't have handy. I asked if they could look it up and they said they couldn't which I know is not true. They said I my tires would come in on Friday but they would call me and it's now Monday with no phone call. In looking at the prices, I don't think I saved any money so perhaps I'll just get a refund and go to a local tire shop. read more

I came in because my tire had a shimmy. After waiting an hour and a half I find out the only re-balanced one tire. I asked them why they only balance one tire. They said the other three are perfect and zero out, which is impossible because the tires are shaking. Normally, when you go to a tire center and tell them the tires are shaking, they remove all the weights and restart all over again, but not Costco, they leave the weights on and the will take the cheapest easiest route and get you out as soon as possible in my opinion after what happened today. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT I wouldn't recommend getting your tires here, UNLESS you drop your car off go home then come back when they call you. I waited 3 hr and 40 minutes for my car to be done. Bought 4 new tires plus install with the current rebate it came out to about 800 for tires for a regular size sedan. I came here at the recommendation of my friend who says he always goes to Costco for tires. I will never go to Costco for tires based on the wait time. I waited so long I went inside and bought a chair just so I could wait more comfortably. They have two benches outside as a waiting area. Would I recommend going here? No. Not unless you can drop your car off go on with your day then come back and pick it up. read more

After a long day at work, I had to get an alert fixed about tire pressure. Instead of not paying attention to the alert, I decided to come to the Tire Center. Luckily, the Costco Tire Center closes at 8pm so I was able to make it and didn't mind waiting a few hours. As I was waiting in the long line for my turn to tell them my car issue, they checked my air pressure and told me my options. I decided to get a full check so the hour and a half begins. After eating Costco samples and eating a Sundae, my time was up. Honestly, I had a great service. I had no appointment and the workers were super kind. This tire center kept the bad tire on the car instead of replacing it with the new tire! It was clearly stated on the paperwork what to do and verbally stated when the car was dropped off.
