I wish every town I've lived in prior to this had a CSRA LifeSaver type clinic! In the last three…read moreyears I've spent probably thousands of dollars and many trips to the vet for various cat ailments and check ups. Some in Pennsylvania and some here in the CSRA. At almost all of them I've been disappointed in the cost and lack of expense disclosure before a service is done, but it's also just a hassle to get scheduled for things that aren't super emergent but also can't wait for a month. CSRA Life Saver is a low cost preventative vet clinic. That means they do not treat sick animals, and they can't prescribe much other than some preventative flea/tick/heart worm medicines and dewormers. What they DO offer is walk in appointments (they do not schedule ahead except for spay/neuter surgeries), vaccines, microchips, pet health maintenance (like ear mite cleaning, deworming, nail trims, etc). Their prices are listed clearly online and in the office, and they require that you fill out a form ahead of time and clearly mark which services you want that day. When you arrive, you fill that out first (or you can print it at home and bring it in) then go in to the desk and sign in. By the number of chairs I saw, the wait can get long at times but both times I've been so far there was very little wait. Because they do minimal services, appointments don't last very long and they can see a lot of people. Their prices are the lowest I've found by a LOT and they seem interested in just doing what they can to help animals and owners in a timely manner. The office itself is pretty simple- it's an old house type building converted to an office. There is some indoor waiting room area but many chairs on the porch for overflow. I did not accompany my cat into the exam room and didn't see other owners do that either, so just be ready for that. They take cards and cash. The only issue I've had is the microchip I got on my kitten seems to have moved from the shoulder blade location I assumed they inserted it at, but I think that's more likely my kitten being a little underweight for his age (a recent stray we took in). I wish they had mentioned prior to the microchipping that you can't bathe the animal for a few days, and now with the movement of the chip I wish I'd waited to get that done til they neuter him or something but it's too late now. Overall, the prices cannot be beat and they offer helpful guidance on saving money and getting what's best for your pet.

When I explained my concerns to the "rescue" and they were dismissive of my concerns. Loveable Paws Rescue will absolutely use a 3rd party (Wagtopia) to monetize your data as well. They REQUIRE a "donation" to Wagtopia before you can even submit an adoption application. Each potential dog adoption requires a separate application and "donation" (application fee is not reimbursed if you choose not to adopt or if the dog you wanted to adopt has already been adopted). NOTE: Loveable Paws Rescue and Wagtopia have said that donations to Wagtopia are not tax deductible and the money DOES NOT GO TO CARING FOR SHELTER DOGS!!!! To make things even worse, the dogs at their "rescue" did not appear to be cared for very well - the dogs appeared underweight for their size and their living conditions did not seem adequate. Several dogs were without water on an adoption day! It made me seriously question how far the substandard the living conditions drop on non-adoption days. After reading some reviews of Loveable Paws Rescue where adopters ended up with dogs that tested positive for heartworms, I asked if the dog we were interested in adopting had already been spayed and if she has been tested for heartworms. The "rescue" refused to provide any medical information about the dog. In fact, they refused to tell me if the dog had even seen a vet while she was under their care. The dog in question was in their care for at least 3 months! That is ample time to know very basic medical information that all legitimate rescues should have about all animals under their care. To illustrate the lack of appropriate veterinary care, I included a post from Loveable Paws Rescue's Facebook page. THIS DOG DIED WHILE UNDER THE CARE OF LOVEABLE PAWS RESCUE! I think it is fairly obvious that this dog should have been under close veterinary care. While it is possible that the tumor might have been inoperable, not having the dog at an emergency clinic, directly under veterinary care following the rupture is inexcusable and shows their indifference towards the quality of life of the dogs under their care. When I inquired about the medical care given to special needs dogs like this dog, I was told that it was none of my business since it didn't apply to the dog we wanted to adopt and I needed to lower my expectations because "these are rescue dogs." There are many good rescues in the area, you do not need to support a "rescue" that will monetize your adoption application data, charge you for merely submitting an application, and then refuse to provide you with basic health information about dogs under their care. Any "rescue" that requires money to submit an application doesn't care about finding homes for dogs, they care about making money. Reputable rescue groups don't monetize data about adopters. Reputable rescues are eager to share information about their dogs; only questionable, shady "rescues" charge $600 adoption fees while refusing to provide veterinary information and ignore the fact some dogs are without water on adoption days. Please adopt from reputable rescues!

And my family, family including the furry members (Benny, Bella, Oliver). The three of them have me wrapped around their little paws. There is nothing I would not do for them. And so yes, I spoil them. The best food, treats, toys, bed, etc. They get it all. Even keep cold water in their bowl during the summer months. So when it comes to a place to shop I can't just hope for the best. And the team, they have to love my furry ones almost as much as I do. I don't care if you ignore me or never ask my name. But you best be getting down on their level and telling them how amazing they are and asking if they want a treat (of course the answer is always yes). And here, it happens every time. It doesn't matter if it's a slow day and I'm the only customer or there's an adoption event and the place is packed; my crew gets acknowledged. Over the years I have come for extra stuff like ear wipes and CBD treats (side note: those things work!). Of course the wall of toys is always a stop. And if I have questions or need further explanation on something, they are there to help. Oh yeah, they also delivery! Like to your front door so you don't even have to get off the sofa delivery. Love this place. You should too.

No one can really tell me what happened, no one explained the risks etc. of the surgery. They made it seem like it was an easy one (to their defense maybe it was). They called us at 130pm, Im thinking she's ready and early and in fact she was already dead... they irritated me and their reason was "well we were behind in surgeries for the day" which made me question did they rush Silver, did they response late to her etc. There are so many questions I want to ask, safe to say I'll never get another pet because this was defeating and mentally draining. I blame myself for even bringing her, I just wish somebody at the front desk would have explained the risk of this, had they said she can possibly die from this surgery I would of never took her...and reading the comments I also see that other people has lost a part of their family as well. Now I will say the staff there all have been geniune as far as sending their regards, it just a horrible experience.
