Just came from the newest Cu Hawaii located on Kapahuluu next door to Leonard Bakery . I was very disappointed I was hungry so I purchased their tuna mayo musubi that was in the warmer . The rice was hard and crunchy so it was wasted . I also purchased their apple turnover and the apples were tart which I like sweet apple pie turnover. So another epic fail. I guess next time I visit a CU Hawaii only chips or snacks other than that I'm saving my money . Service was very friendly and welcoming. I guess this Korean stores need to take notes from 7-11 how to warm up Musubi lol . I had no problem finding parking I guess the hype is over because everyone was posting that parking is hard there .

So nice to CU... You know I was surprised to see them in Kapahulu as much as lots of newbies have arrive many old school still remains the same here and had no idea when the Kapolei spot left to make room for this new CU location. Yes this is right beside the famous Leonard's bakery so the congestion will grow amongst this residential community but how wonderful to have them here for them as well as the snacks galore is a welcome sight bringing an even brighter spot on this part of Kapahulu which is down the street from Crane Park. They still don't have their hot food items yet but will soon but you can still the many other items like the ramen wall, snacks, treats and the menu cool drinks from smoothies to grab and go items. The service is very friendly though today is their very first day I can see this spot will be popular for all ages and already see it's so nice to CU in Kapahulu. Thank you!

Better than the Kahala CU, not as good as the Downtown CU, so sort of in the middle. Not sure how they'll fare with the tourists, but it's good that there's another place to get snacks in the neighborhood. Employees are kinda awkward and not very nice. I used to live in Korea and have been to CU a million times there, and the customer service in Hawaii doesn't really match how it was in Korea. Most of the hot foods are good, it's fun to cook ramen there, the ice cups and drinks are tasty. I recommend getting the sausage and tteok skewer.

Ok so I forgot to check in when I went here but I must say... THIS PLACE IS AWESOME FOR SNACKS THAT…read moreYOU WANT WITH FLAVORS! TBH, I'm going back for more! Tastes so yummy and better than the ones we have in the regular stores. SORRY... but it's OUR opinion. Oh and their fruit snacks are pretty good too! ANYWHO, this place is worth TRYING and I'm not saying more cause I want to have them all to myself! HAHAHA! Nah nah but I'd rather YOU go in yourself to see it instead of listening to me on what I liked or thought. They have so much new and yummy flavored chips and I swear... it tastes GOOD! I got the buldak flavor, crab (MY FAVORITE), steak (my husbands choice), chicken, cucumber flavor, ketchup, lobster, chicken and then they have some others I didn't think to try like avocado or nori. I figured they'd be good for a second try. But the best was the apricot snacks! Idk ‍ it's probably because I needed it. But overall, it's NOT DRIED OUT! Not YET at least. Anywho, they've been out for about a year and they look as if they're not that busy. So, I'm hoping this will get MORE people to go here and visit to keep them open and so they CAN bring in MORE Asian snacks that we ALL wait for. Okie dokes! Thanks for reading and enjoy!

Hooray! One 2 Buy has added price tags to most of the items!…read more A number of items I looked at had English nutrition labels as well. Not everything, but it's a great improvement. The back of the store now has lights on. You can see in the back of the store. You no longer need to be apprehensive about venturing in the back of the previously unlit store. There is air conditioning, however, it doesn't seem to work well. I was in here for ten minutes and perspiring due to humidity and heat. I asked the one employee if she was uncomfortable in working in this heat. She replied that they are required to keep the front door open to let customers know it's open, so much of the cooled air escapes. It is crazy warm inside. Service is good. The one employee must stock, look out for customers and ring up sales. There is a half off table that I didn't observe in the past. Some of the drinks in the refrigerated section appear ready to burst. Overall, plus one star for labeling and price tags. I picked up a few sugar free and low calorie drinks to try here.

When the Kaheka location changed from Daiei to Don Quijote ages ago I think there was some excitement but never thought twice about it. I also didn't realize Don Quijote and Don Don Donki are essentially the same company, despite noticing the same penguin and font and color scheme etc. Took me quite some time to connect the dots haha. Anyway we shop here every time we need Japanese and other Asian ingredients. Like when I got obsessed with Japanese rice, Don Quijote was my first stop. Or when I was obsessed with saba and stocked up on packs of frozen fillets. Or when I wanted cheap sake for DIY skincare. Huge selection of everything - cosmetics/skincare as soon as you enter, souvenirs, fruits and vegetables, bakery, aisles of ramen and snacks, etc. Interestingly, the hot food section serves a variety of local Filipino items as well. While conveniently open 24 hours, Don Quijote is not the place to pick up freshly prepared food before 6:00am (despite what Google told me). Jet lag was rough last week and I started work earlier and wanted bento for breakfast. I only saw pre-packaged sushi from the night before. No musubis either. But the inside is as brightly lit and clean and safe as at any other time.

High quality seafood and fish! Also bought some items from the grocery, as our hotel has a kitchen. So, we can cook soups and noodles and try some new flavorings! Looking forward to the uni/urchin cream sauce Staff are also very friendly and approachable! The checkout was smooth. Similar to the warehouse stores, show your receipt at the door upon leaving. There's picnic tables outside to sit, relax, and eat so that is very convenient! There's SO MUCH here at Don Quijote! From Waikiki, just head towards Ala Moana Center and go about 3 blocks north.
