I was told that they would not take the items back, that this was an issue with Instacart, not Cub. These were paper products, not perishable. I was returning them the next day. I can usually find what I need here, but for some reason, it comes at a significant price difference. I only come here if I need something quick and don't wanna drive to the nearest target or Aldi, but usually avoid it most of the time. Depending on the product, some things are $2-10 more expensive than like literally every other store. I haven't had many issues with stocked items and the bag fee is kind of annoying. read more

My favorite thing about this Cub is the produce section. Always very fresh. I saw another review that said the priduce was on par with Walmart. Not even close. I'm going to start shopping at Lund's.. it's less expensive there. I can recall going to Cub on Sundays and it being really busy.. not so much anymore. Yesterday at 12:00 pm we didn't have to wait in a long line, in fact didn't have to wait at all! I guess people are catching on to their overpriced foods and going elsewhere. Tonight I dropped by to pick up some milk and bread. I decided to withdraw some cas at the self service kiosk. There was a little hiccup so I accidentally left the cash behind. When this was a Rainbow store, I went out of my way to shop here. Now, not so much. It shows its age and it hasn't been graceful. The ethnic food areas are better than most Cub stores. The parking lot is horrendous. If I didn't need food to live, I'd love to avoid this store completely. read more

This Cub Foods location is the closest Cub to my house. I come here when I need to run to the TCF bank that's housed inside of it and other random items that I'm not motivated to drive further for. They're well-stocked for most anything I'm looking for. Over the years, it's been great to see the organic options expand and become more diversified, but the prices are too high (when organic items are priced more expensively than a co-op, you KNOW you're getting ripped off). When they used to carry Thousand Hills grass-fed beef (which they sadly just discontinued), Cub charged more than any other location it was available at. Again, I'm glad they have organic options, but I doubt it would break them to lower the prices. Their conventional avocados are on sale a lot, so that tends to buffer any personal grudges that might be brewing within. As for the rest of their conventional items, their prices aren't competitive (unless there's a sale, it's really no difference to shop at Cub verses another big box grocery store. It's mostly their pricing that gives them the very average rating. They seem to be pretty well staffed during the daytime, and as would be expected, have a barebones crew later in the evenings, but all-in-all, I don't have any problems getting assistance if needed. During today's shopping experience (to nab me up some avocado, fresh pineapple, & paper plates), when I first stepped into the produce section, there was a film of dirt over a large amount of the floor. By the time I left the produce section, they already had someone in with the "Zamboni" of grocery store floor cleaners. read more

Great location to go to for quick easy food, the pandemic has made the lines super long, makes me wonder if people should be helping at front temporarily first before sticking at times, but the reason I'm upset about this is because I was not told about mycub rewards and forgot myself. Due to this I called to see if I could get this taken care of even if I had to come in. The answer was "no" I'm not asking for a lot but being furloughed kinda bums me out. Two stars for the decent selection of organic products, convenience, and for the overall low prices for most things. Their produce is horrendous. They do have a better variety than most, but the quality is terrible. I picked up two containers of berries today, both had mold on the bottom. A package of organic tomatoes was also moldy. Not a good feeling! I know this isn't Lund's or Kowalski's, but the store just seems very dirty, like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Or ever. I use the self check-out since it seems like it should be quicker. But, every time something happens where I need to have a cashier log in and fix something that isn't working (a coupon not registering, the machine getting confused because I bring my own bags, etc.) read more

Not the best store to shop in. Ever since Supervalu Inc. bought out Rainbow, I get the feeling that Cub thinks it can overcharge on a lot of items. Now, don't get me wrong, their sale prices aren't bad, but, if you're buying at regular price, expect to pay more than at Target or Walmart. Overall, I really hope that Hyvee puts in a store somewhere in the south metro. It would be nice to finally have some competition. I don't get the impression that Cub is too worried about Walmart or Target. While they have better prices overall, they never have everything I want, and I end up going to Cub anyway. God do I miss the old Rainbow stores. read more

Have no complaints about the appearance or cleanliness of the store but the prices are kind of expensive unless their is a sale. I am glad they at least have a Dollar Isle for a few items one may need. I do like the Deli for grabbing something good to eat when one is in a hurry and may not have time to cook. read more

Just a couple of weeks ago, my wife and I were denied service at the balloon/flower section, because we were wearing masks. I really could not believe it. We finally got tired of waiting and left the store. We returned and found all employees wearing masks, even the people behind the deli. I put off writing a review because I did not want to say anything negative. I am happy now because the store has definitely been elevated with; more space, better produce, meats and other things. This Cub Foods location is a racist establishment. Be aware!!! They offer poor service...especially to WIC patrons...and will lie on you. One of their cashiers (unlawfully) confiscated my WIC folder (after checking my signature) and wouldn't return it to me (this on top of initially refusing to ring up my products). When I reached over the counter to retrieve it, she snatched it. Fortunately I was able to grab it back. In the process I told her to get her manager. Another cashier came over and out of the blue accused me of hitting the other cashier, which was a lie! And she didn't even to care to hear what I had to say about the incident. When I got home I called the manager to complain and he said THREE ppl "saw" me "hit this cashier. I told him that was a LIE. I told him all he needed to do was check the surveillance camera. The manager told me he wasn't going to check anything. So, you accuse someone of assault and yet can't be bothered to confirm it actually took place??? You say you have witnesses, yet no one calls the cops? I don't know about you, but if I SAW someone assault an old lady (the cashier had to be 100yrs old) I would definitely call the police! Subsequent calls to "corporate" and numerous facebook complaints went unanswered. Beware when shopping at this store. Went to Cub Foods at this location to buy some medicine and some other things. The medicine was supposed to be on sale, but it did not ring up as such at the register. Went to customer service and showed them a picture of the sale advertisement. A lady from the Pharmacy came over to clarify and discovered the item was not charged. My wife asked to purchase it and the lady from the Pharmacy would not give the medicine to her, and instead she gave it to the customer service cashier. My wife said " It is not like we are going to steal the medication" and this lady replied to her "Well it is not like you paid for it" implying we stole the medicine in front of other customers. The lady then rudely walked away. We spoke to the manager and he apologized, but I do not think he will take any actions toward the Pharmacy lady. This lady had an attitude and very rude. Will not shop at Cub Foods again. read more

This particular Cub is very inconsistent. Sometimes it can be very difficult to get help. On one trip, the customer service at the deli or customer service desk might be fine, the next, just terrible. They're also inconsistent about keeping things in stock. read more

The great thing about this CUB store, is their $1 dark chocolate candy bars. They are big enough. They are tasty. They are only $1. You have to walk all the way back around to the "dollar" section, which is past the pharmacy. 4 out of 5 times it is worth it because they only run out of stock sometimes. I suggest avoiding the check-out lines with cashiers. The self-serve automated check-out machines go above and beyond by not wiping their noses with their fingers, like the people cashiers tend to do. Not all CUB stores have these dark chocolate bars.
