    Guava and cream cheese empanadas!

Tried all the empanadas, they were AWESOME! The Guava and cream cheese are an office favorite!

We got the potato balls and Cuban sandwich which is basic as it comes pork, ham, mayo, mustard, cheese, pickles can't go wrong with that didn't have a price on it. I don't member how much it cost they didn't have prices on anything. We also got the potato balls soon as you bite into the potato it tasted watery like it was frozen and it retained water, if I had to come back, I'll get the Cuban sandwich again. Update: sorry potato ball I was calling them Papa rellena..stuffed potato. Potato was watery when you bite into them it killed the favor of the beef..maybe not enough water was drained out of them after the boil?!

As a disclaimer, I have high standards for Cuban food being part Cuban and from Miami. That said, Cuba Bakery was a great fix for pastellitos and a sandwich being that there aren't many places like this here in Texas and I would give the store 3.5 stars if I could. We were lucky enough to arrive on Saturday around 11 am with no one in the store, which was what I was worried about reading some other reviews especially since we wanted to try a couple different things. Service was friendly and easy to order despite there seeming to be only two employees. About four other parties came in after us though and they had a wait to order, but it wasn't anything exceptionally long and everyone seemed okay. My party ordered cafe con leche, cortadito, tostada, ropa vieja sandwich (I wanted pan con bistec but they weren't serving that), a chicken empanada and guava pastries. The flavor of the coffee was not what I'm used to (like a trusty Cafe Bustelo) nor was the Cuban bread (a little heavier than the typical thin crunchy outside and soft inside). The ropa vieja was still delicious as were the pastellitos and food was fairly priced. The restaurant felt like a hole in the wall - bright orange, Cuban themed decor, typical bakery displays - so definitely don't take your date here, it's just a place to quickly pick up or grub on a couple sandwiches at lunch. I would actually say the ambiance is what felt most like smaller Miami Cuban restaurants! Was also lovely to take my full order in Spanish. It felt like home :) So overall, if you're looking for your fix of Cuban food and want to support a business like this, you should try this place if you're already in the area. Traveling from miles away to try this place with expectations just as high as mine, however, you might be better off learning how to make these foods at home. I will personally be returning though to try a couple of other things as I'm just 10 mins away and see if I just happened to come on a good day service-wise, and will update!

Small display cases, and not exactly full.

The prices are right. The pastelitos tasted good (had the cream cheese, guava and cheese, guava, and ground beef pastelitos). The Cuban coffee were legit. Yes, the offerings are scarce - the display case is rather tiny compared to what I'm used to seeing. Yes, the ambience leaves a lot to be desired. It's desolate, empty, and mostly undecorated, unlike the colorful Cuban bakeries that are all over Miami. Yes, the fillings inside the pastelitos were ok the skimpier side. And yes, even the customer service was not that friendly. But it did hit the spot beautifully still.

So I kept passing by this place and finally the fam and I stopped in to check it out. I decided to try out the Cuban since, well, we only had a few options on the chalkboard to choose from. The lady who took our order was very nice and friendly. We had to wait 20 minutes for our order but she told us up front it would be that long, so fair enough. The sandwiches were subpar. It definitely fulfilled a craving, but I moved here from Central FL so my standards are pretty high.

They are open Thursday- Sunday for takeout also call for catering! This place has guava and cheese with balls and I'm so freaking happy I found it ! The lady at the front was super sweet very informative about all of the food and the menu. They have a cute spot and mouth watering selection. Price is very good. I bought a box of 9 things and my bill was under 20$ so I'd say I'm a happy camper price point wise. I used to pay 40$ for the exact amount I ordered in LA. So happy to have found this one.

Cuban sandwich was fantastic with generous portion. Empanada was flaky but left me wanting a little more filling. Inside is very casual and a bit on the smaller side. Was told a 10 minute wait for my sandwich but came out quickly. Will be back in the future to try other sandwiches.

I have no idea why this place is called Cuban Bakery , there's barely any sweets and they were "out" of most of the sandwiches.

The audacity Story time, Today I went to the original Round Rock location, downtown Round Rock, to buy my son's birthday donuts, It's tradition. Every year on his birthday he gets a dozen half glazed and half chocolate frosted donuts. Then I get a kolache and a dozen donut holes for myself. Well when I pulled up today the line was wrapped around all the way to Mays street. So I just followed the line of cars and got in line. You'd think that a line that long would take a long time but.... Round Rock donuts has this process down to a T. It took less than 10 minutes to get through that line and get my order. And those donuts came out hot and fresh. So did my kolache. Anywho, Don't let the lines scare you away, Just jump in and know they're going to move quickly. Also, If you're planning an office event or any type of event and you want donuts and coffee or kolaches donuts and coffee, Round Rock donuts offers a great menu for large orders and also they have a cake menu for custom cake orders. If you don't want to stay in line in your car you can also park wherever you can find a spot and go to the walk-up ordering window, It's shaded and there's plenty of space to hang out while your order is being made and brought out to you. All this to say, It's a Round Rock Donut, Happy Birthday to my Son!

For years, I'd heard so much good about them; it was about time to sample their goods. Since it was a weekday and a bit later in the morning hours, the line wasn't too bad. Watching the vehicles flying through the drive-thru, I could see that these folks have it down to a science. Order after order is being handed to their customers with military precision. We got a cinnamon roll and a fritter for the road, plus 6 donuts to take back home with us. The fritter was OK, I've had better. My wife's cinnamon roll was too huge to manage. It was definitely Texas-sized. The six donuts we took home were two blueberry cake donuts, two regular raised donuts, and two filled. The filled donuts were our favorites, along with the cake and the traditional raised. We can now say we've been to the legendary Round Rock Donuts.

Immediately decided to come here for my daughter's birthday cake. We've always loved the quality of their cakes and were happy to support a local business, which is why it's disappointing that we won't be able to continue using them this year. Historically, we've paid around $135 for the same style of birthday cake. This year, we were quoted $235 for essentially the same cake--a price increase of more than 70%. While I completely understand that costs have gone up and businesses have had to adjust pricing due to inflation and increased vendor costs, this level of increase feels excessive, especially for a child's birthday cake. I reached out to Diane, the owner, to better understand the significant jump in pricing. After about a week, I received a response stating that their vendors' prices had increased. While I appreciate the explanation, it doesn't change the fact that a more than 70% increase is difficult for many families to justify. This review isn't meant to criticize the quality of their work, which has always been excellent. Rather, it's to share the experience of a long-time customer who has unfortunately been priced out after years of supporting the business. It's disappointing to have to look elsewhere after so many years, but at the current pricing, we simply can't justify the cost.

I was patient until my niece was getting antsy, she finished her pastry, we both finished our mediocre coffees, still no toast... I checked and the Apple Pay time stamp went through more than 30 minutes prior. I asked staff if our toast was still coming and they replied rudely like I was being a jerk to even ask. Pagers for food when they went off were obnoxious beeping. Just give people a table number and carry it out to them. Maybe they have one little toaster and person in the back? That said once the food came, the tofu was DELICIOUS, and a large portion. We could have split it. Croissant was unimpressive as was their chocolate croissant. Macarons were tasty, but not with the signature chew that ones made with egg whites would have. $$ Two plain lattes, two lemon toasts, a chocolate croissant and 6 macarons with a $5 tip was $88.
