    empanada

my experience here has always been great so far! the prices are great and they stuff the lunch orders with so much food for $5 or $6. huge chicken legs, rice, beans & tasty plantains making a great meal! The food is very good and satisfying as well. Especially the empanadas! i absolutely love their empanadas. after getting one, i came back the next day to buy 6 and i wanted even more! everyone i've brought here has also loved the empanadas service is nice as well and theres seating in the food court to eat your food there if you want. usually quiet nearby when I've gone.

1st time ever trying this! I prefers banana king and I see why. The order was very simple. 2 Cubans with bacon. Of course we were charged for bacon that is on the receipt yet not on either sandwich. The pork is dry and poorly cut. There is more mustard than cheese. In all my years eating a Cuban sandwich it's never been dry or covered in mustard until now. Do you not do lettuce and tomato? I assume the mystery sauce I got was suppose to assist with the dryness. This experience was horrible and it is extremely important for your staff to actually pay attention to what is order. My lunch was bad which lead to this review!

Receipt. Paid for plantains but didn't get any.

AKIRA has become one of my favorite stores because I can always find something unique to add to my wardrobe, those pieces that are just a little different and make an outfit stand out. And while I'm doing my thing at AKIRA, my husband can always count on Macy's to find something new for his wardrobe too. So basically... we both leave with a bag, we're both happy, and everybody wins. And we're frugal shoppers. So safe to say we always get a good sale. At this point, a Garden State Plaza trip just isn't complete without these two stops! And of course you gotta feed the belly so this particular trip we went to Carlitos and got our taco fix and you can't go wrong with tacos, especially at Carlitos. They're always so friendly and accommodating.

I don't know if it's because of the Soccer World Cup 2026, the fact that it's Saturday afternoon, or the sweltering heat, but it is incredibly crowded. I came straight here after work to check it out because I have movie tickets for the cinema located inside. I arrived a bit too early, so I'm going to walk around and explore the place, and I'll let you know what I think later. The air conditioning is holding up well against the massive crowd. I'll share my thoughts on the other places I visit later on. I can see a variety of spots here, though--places like "Carlitos BBQ taqueria", as well as coffee shops, pretzel stands, dessert spots, a Macy's, ramen restaurants, and more.

She repeatedly shouted, "Free Sample! Free Sample!" Between her noticeable voice along with the chunk of meat, she immediately reeled me in. All it took was this free sample and I was hooked! It was piping hot and just prepared on the spot. And the advertisement atop the counter also caught my eye. The $14.99 special deal offers two meats and two sides; this is only a $2 up charge from the single meat and single side plate. The styrofoam to-go plate was overwhelming packed. Although this was a great deal, both proteins and both sides were touching each other. I had assumed I was going to receive two separate styrofoam plates. Regardless of this quirk, I managed to separate everything into two microwavable containers. It made for great leftovers for the next couple of days. General Tso's Chicken/Orange Chicken While both proteins were greatly smothered in their prospective sauces, they tasted practically similar. The original sample satisfied me, but the orange chicken was kind of the same. Vegetables Lo Mein/Vegetables Mei Fun: These style of noodles each complimented the main course. Their texture was different because the lo mein was thicker than the mei fun, but they both tasted identical. While the initial free sample satisfied me, I honestly think I would have been better off sticking to a single meat and side. The Tso's was definitely the pick of the litter. While adding variety seemed like a great idea, it didn't add much in the long run. I also was not fond of both proteins and noodles touching each other. #yongkangstreet #gardenstateplaza #twomeatandtwosidedeal

The Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup takes 6-8min to finish, it has some pepper, pickled veggies (good), cilantro, cut beef and noodles. It's not bad, but feels like something I'd get out of a noodle pack vs. out of the street vendor in Taiwan. Located in the mall food court, so not always easy to find a seat.

While many mainstay stores have left, they have a few stores still that could make it worth a visit: uniglo, stew Leonard's, LL Bean, etc. The food court upstairs has far fewer options now. The one thing I've always liked about this mall was that it was easy to navigate and hard to get lost in, unlike its sister the Garden State Plaza mall. Plus parking is super easy in comparison as well because of far fewer patrons. Management also seems to have kept up with the mall's maintenance and decor even with fewer tenants. No tax on most clothes and shoes in NJ so that's always a plus! You won't likely find everything you need here but if that's not an issue, not a bad mall at all.

Today was the day: I was going to go into the beyond, and see the rest of what Paramus Park had to offer. And to be honest, it offered very little. As I ventured through the entire Mall, in maybe took me 15-20 minutes in a relatively comfortable pace, and it SEEMS 1/2 open businesses, and 1/2 shuttered-closed businesses. I like a quiet mall. I avoid malls on weekends for this reason, but this wasn't just quiet, it was strangely quiet. I've just experienced a mall past it's prime. Odd. I would've loved to see it in it's glory. There were more people in Stew Leanords (probably) then the entire mall put-together. Thank god for that supermarket to choose Paramus Park for its location! In any case --- it's a decent visit in the "land of malls".

My personal favorites here are Eemas Cuisine and Cafe Anello / Sogno Coffee. This is a great alternative to a cramped cafe if you need to get work done. There's large table spaces, good internet connection and a cafe. I've been using this space as a work space since opening and everyone is super friendly. If you're shopping, the Jersey City oddities market has a pop up boutique here with a bunch of really curious items, as well as Spura Home, and For Ari For You Jewelry. The best part is that its not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the mall. It's separate from the food court and honestly with better food and service. These vendors don't have actual restaurants and this is their chance to show off what makes them special which usually means prime customer service and high quality food. This is a great spot for meet ups, first dates, play dates, and everything in between. I've been here a few times since they opened in April. I think I've tried everything so far: Hawaiian, Filipino, Japanese, Italian, Jamaican, and THEE MOST AMAZING BROWNIES that I've ever had. The Hawaiian & Filipino and Japanese vendors offer vegetarian and vegan options...another point! I've attached some pictures for you drooling pleasure. They are open Thursday - Saturday from 12PM to 8PM. Unfortunately, this is a pop up market, which means they won't be here forever. In fact, this market is only here until June 30th. So try and make it over - IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT! Location: On the bottom floor next to Tiffany & Co and Gucci by the Garage B valet entrance and the concierge desk.
