Vendor stall inside Paramus Park mall
    Dolly C.

    - Korean fast-food vendor inside Paramus Park mall food court offering pre-cooked ingredients for quick takeout - Surprisingly quiet on a Friday evening during dinner - Good sized combo boxes--each comes with white rice, japchae noodles, side salad, small piece of omelet, and your choice of meat; BBQ beef bulgogi box had a decent portion of meat, but the LA galbi was a bit disappointing with more bone than meat - Decent flavor, but lacking freshness--meats could've used a bit more heat; rice was slightly soggy; omelet and japchae were served cold (perhaps intentional, but I prefer them warm); boxes come with sauce and salad dressing on the side - Service could improve--staff didn't greet us when we approached and only acknowledged us once we signaled we were ready to order - Overall--solid food court option for a quick Korean fix; fairly priced for the quality and portion size offered

Today's Lunch This is the first time I've ordered from here for delivery. I ordered a Beef Bulgogi and mini Mochis. Sadly, the mochis were sold out. The bulgogi box is enough for one person and some more: thinly sliced beef... tender, marinated with barbecue sauce. The box comes with white rice, a small salad, an egg soufflé, and noodles (dangmyon). The order came with chopsticks, soy sauce, and salad dressing. Everything was delicious. I'm not a big fan of soufflés, but it wasn't bad... There was a special offer today for $22.90, and it was $17.36 plus tips on DoorDash. Thank you so much for everything and blessings to the team!

I tried one of the lunch box specials during the work week. The KBBQ Box is a good deal for $10.99 - your choice of meat over rice (options of kimchi rice, plain rice, and fried rice), a little bit of greens, egg, and some japchae. Hits the spot!

AKIRA has become one of my favorite stores because I can always find something unique to add to my wardrobe, those pieces that are just a little different and make an outfit stand out. And while I'm doing my thing at AKIRA, my husband can always count on Macy's to find something new for his wardrobe too. So basically... we both leave with a bag, we're both happy, and everybody wins. And we're frugal shoppers. So safe to say we always get a good sale. At this point, a Garden State Plaza trip just isn't complete without these two stops! And of course you gotta feed the belly so this particular trip we went to Carlitos and got our taco fix and you can't go wrong with tacos, especially at Carlitos. I don't know if it's because of the Soccer World Cup 2026, the fact that it's Saturday afternoon, or the sweltering heat, but it is incredibly crowded. I came straight here after work to check it out because I have movie tickets for the cinema located inside. I arrived a bit too early, so I'm going to walk around and explore the place, and I'll let you know what I think later. The air conditioning is holding up well against the massive crowd. I'll share my thoughts on the other places I visit later on. I can see a variety of spots here, though--places like "Carlitos BBQ taqueria", as well as coffee shops, pretzel stands, dessert spots, a Macy's, ramen restaurants, and more.

She repeatedly shouted, "Free Sample! Free Sample!" Between her noticeable voice along with the chunk of meat, she immediately reeled me in. All it took was this free sample and I was hooked! It was piping hot and just prepared on the spot. And the advertisement atop the counter also caught my eye. The $14.99 special deal offers two meats and two sides; this is only a $2 up charge from the single meat and single side plate. The styrofoam to-go plate was overwhelming packed. Although this was a great deal, both proteins and both sides were touching each other. I had assumed I was going to receive two separate styrofoam plates. Regardless of this quirk, I managed to separate everything into two microwavable containers. It made for great leftovers for the next couple of days. General Tso's Chicken/Orange Chicken While both proteins were greatly smothered in their prospective sauces, they tasted practically similar. The original sample satisfied me, but the orange chicken was kind of the same. Vegetables Lo Mein/Vegetables Mei Fun: These style of noodles each complimented the main course. Their texture was different because the lo mein was thicker than the mei fun, but they both tasted identical. While the initial free sample satisfied me, I honestly think I would have been better off sticking to a single meat and side. The Tso's was definitely the pick of the litter. While adding variety seemed like a great idea, it didn't add much in the long run. I also was not fond of both proteins and noodles touching each other. #yongkangstreet #gardenstateplaza #twomeatandtwosidedeal

The Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup takes 6-8min to finish, it has some pepper, pickled veggies (good), cilantro, cut beef and noodles. It's not bad, but feels like something I'd get out of a noodle pack vs. out of the street vendor in Taiwan. Located in the mall food court, so not always easy to find a seat.

While many mainstay stores have left, they have a few stores still that could make it worth a visit: uniglo, stew Leonard's, LL Bean, etc. The food court upstairs has far fewer options now. The one thing I've always liked about this mall was that it was easy to navigate and hard to get lost in, unlike its sister the Garden State Plaza mall. Plus parking is super easy in comparison as well because of far fewer patrons. Management also seems to have kept up with the mall's maintenance and decor even with fewer tenants. No tax on most clothes and shoes in NJ so that's always a plus! You won't likely find everything you need here but if that's not an issue, not a bad mall at all.

Today was the day: I was going to go into the beyond, and see the rest of what Paramus Park had to offer. And to be honest, it offered very little. As I ventured through the entire Mall, in maybe took me 15-20 minutes in a relatively comfortable pace, and it SEEMS 1/2 open businesses, and 1/2 shuttered-closed businesses. I like a quiet mall. I avoid malls on weekends for this reason, but this wasn't just quiet, it was strangely quiet. I've just experienced a mall past it's prime. Odd. I would've loved to see it in it's glory. There were more people in Stew Leanords (probably) then the entire mall put-together. Thank god for that supermarket to choose Paramus Park for its location! In any case --- it's a decent visit in the "land of malls".

We ordered the Beef Stew entree and Chicken Legs with Steamed Broccoli and there was nothing really spectacular about the entrees, but we DEFINITELY got our money's worth with the size of them. As expected, the Beef Stew was a bit on the drier side, but there was A LOT of rice and beans in the dish. Unfortunately, there weren't enough maduros. As for the Chicken Legs with Steamed Broccoli, it was as bland as it sounds. The broccoli had some vinegar on it, thankfully, so it gave it some flavor, although my wife wasn't a fan of it. So we haven't tried out all of the menu items, but from what we've ordered so far, Cuban Eddie's is pretty good - especially for operating out of a food court station. I liked the pork chops over rice and beans the best from the main entrees I've ordered. Most main entrees I liked, but I thought the ribs were a little dry for me (it's dry rub and then they give you garlic sauce and bbq sauce in little containers). The main entrees are a good deal for lunch in terms of quantity you get and price you pay. I'll always have a leftover portion for later. The guys working behind the counter are friendly, too, and are patient when you're ordering. The food station gets people ordering in-person and also door dash deliverers, so from what I've seen, they are good with line control.
