I came straight here after work to check it out because I have movie tickets for the cinema located inside. I arrived a bit too early, so I'm going to walk around and explore the place, and I'll let you know what I think later. The air conditioning is holding up well against the massive crowd. I'll share my thoughts on the other places I visit later on. I can see a variety of spots here, though--places like "Carlitos BBQ taqueria", as well as coffee shops, pretzel stands, dessert spots, a Macy's, ramen restaurants, and more.

While many mainstay stores have left, they have a few stores still that could make it worth a visit: uniglo, stew Leonard's, LL Bean, etc. The food court upstairs has far fewer options now. The one thing I've always liked about this mall was that it was easy to navigate and hard to get lost in, unlike its sister the Garden State Plaza mall. Plus parking is super easy in comparison as well because of far fewer patrons. Management also seems to have kept up with the mall's maintenance and decor even with fewer tenants. No tax on most clothes and shoes in NJ so that's always a plus! You won't likely find everything you need here but if that's not an issue, not a bad mall at all.

Today was the day: I was going to go into the beyond, and see the rest of what Paramus Park had to offer. And to be honest, it offered very little. As I ventured through the entire Mall, in maybe took me 15-20 minutes in a relatively comfortable pace, and it SEEMS 1/2 open businesses, and 1/2 shuttered-closed businesses. I like a quiet mall. I avoid malls on weekends for this reason, but this wasn't just quiet, it was strangely quiet. I've just experienced a mall past it's prime. Odd. I would've loved to see it in it's glory. There were more people in Stew Leanords (probably) then the entire mall put-together. Thank god for that supermarket to choose Paramus Park for its location! In any case --- it's a decent visit in the "land of malls".

OK Cuban food that fills one up with ease…read more Considering it's 2024, their lunch prices were relatively inexpensive at $5-$9 for an entree served with rice, beans and maduros. We ordered the Beef Stew entree and Chicken Legs with Steamed Broccoli and there was nothing really spectacular about the entrees, but we DEFINITELY got our money's worth with the size of them. As expected, the Beef Stew was a bit on the drier side, but there was A LOT of rice and beans in the dish. Unfortunately, there weren't enough maduros. As for the Chicken Legs with Steamed Broccoli, it was as bland as it sounds. The broccoli had some vinegar on it, thankfully, so it gave it some flavor, although my wife wasn't a fan of it. For mall food, it's decent, especially since Paramus Park lacks a diverse selection of vendors these days in the food court.

She's been to other Cuban Eddie's locations and likes their food, so she'd been been keeping an eye on CE station at the food court weeks leading up to its opening this year. I haven't been to the other locations but have had Cuban food before. So we haven't tried out all of the menu items, but from what we've ordered so far, Cuban Eddie's is pretty good - especially for operating out of a food court station. I liked the pork chops over rice and beans the best from the main entrees I've ordered. Most main entrees I liked, but I thought the ribs were a little dry for me (it's dry rub and then they give you garlic sauce and bbq sauce in little containers). The main entrees are a good deal for lunch in terms of quantity you get and price you pay. I'll always have a leftover portion for later. The guys working behind the counter are friendly, too, and are patient when you're ordering. The food station gets people ordering in-person and also door dash deliverers, so from what I've seen, they are good with line control.

There's large table spaces, good internet connection and a cafe. I've been using this space as a work space since opening and everyone is super friendly. If you're shopping, the Jersey City oddities market has a pop up boutique here with a bunch of really curious items, as well as Spura Home, and For Ari For You Jewelry. The best part is that its not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the mall. It's separate from the food court and honestly with better food and service. These vendors don't have actual restaurants and this is their chance to show off what makes them special which usually means prime customer service and high quality food. This is a great spot for meet ups, first dates, play dates, and everything in between. I've been here a few times since they opened in April. I think I've tried everything so far: Hawaiian, Filipino, Japanese, Italian, Jamaican, and THEE MOST AMAZING BROWNIES that I've ever had. Decoration is always sparkly.

There are times when I arrive early though like yesterday and the mall provides a very relaxing ambiance to simply walk and browse. One half of the mall has been redone and the aesthetic is chefs kiss! High end shops that all look like they could be flagship locations and peaceful water sculptures and lots of seating to lounge around and sip a nice coffee. It's typically not very busy in the mall area during the week but it does get busier on the weekend. A nice option for shopping and dining if you're ever in the area and if you want to escape the craziness of Garden State Plaza or something more upscale than Bergen Town Center.
