Thursday January 8 , 2026. Cuban's Coco Loco I found this place on YELP and went there tonight to dine with a friend. As the name implies this is a Cuban restaurant that serves Cuban food. My first impression as I entered the place was WOW , a really nice place. We went early and found only 3 other patrons having dinner. It is Thursday after all. This place has an elegance to it and is just the right place to bring someone for a special occasion or a date night with your significant other. Low lighting , tables and booths spaced throughout the restaurant and a bar area. Nicely decorated with an aura of elegant ambiance. Claudia was our lovely server and helped us by explaining various items on the menu. She was very friendly and attentive to our every request. My friend ordered the chicken and I ordered the steak , with white rice mixed with black beans called Cristianos y Moros. I also had a side order of maduro. Everything was delicious. My friend wanted dessert so we ordered a slice of cheesecake and we split it , 50/50. Hmmm good. This is one of those places that you will remember. I will remember this place and will definitely make a return visit. I'll come back for the food , the ambiance, and yes , the music. There is a 4 piece band that plays music on the weekends. New fun discovery in Cape Coral. What a fun new Cuban spot that offers authentic cuisine great cocktails and live music and salsa dancing on some evenings. From the second we walked in we were warmly greeted and treated like family. The decor is very nice. Honestly, you don't expect it to be that pretty and cozy inside when you first pull up to it in the parking lot. I will say the parking lot is rather small and not very comfortable but that's a flaw in design of the plaza not the restaurant's fault but keep it in mind if going during the busier time. The food and the drinks were very good! We had sangria and it was great - not too sweet. For appetizer we ordered croquettes samples which was delicious. For entrees we went for a classic - Ropa Vieja and also salmon fillet which comes with one side of your choice. Both were great, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Terrible service when we returned. We came back an hour before they closed, two of their staff were incredibly cold. One told us we could not place a to go order, an hour before they were set to close. She turned and walked away while we were saying "okay thank you" After she walked away, the second worker at the bar speed walked to close and lock the door the second we stepped out. We've both worked in restaurants for years so we understand closing early on a slow night, but this experience felt like they did not want us in there at all. (2 out of 5) Disappointed with Service at Coco Loco I went to Coco Loco with a group of five girlfriends for dinner, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When we sat down, the waitress brought bottles of water to the table without asking if we wanted them. They turned out to be fancy bottled water priced at $8 each, which we never requested. This was a complete surprise on our bill. Several of the ladies ordered wine that was listed at one price on the menu but was charged more per glass on the final bill. To make things worse, the restaurant added a 20% service charge, even though we were only a party of five and the restaurant was empty when the waitress was serving us. We did not even receive all the items ordered but they were charged on the final bill. When it came time to pay, the restaurant refused to split the bill by what each person has ordered and instead forced us to divide it evenly five ways. The waitress said she could have done separate checks if we had mentioned it earlier. However, like the "fancy $8 bottles of water" she should have offered that option from the beginning and not taken the easy route out. What made the situation even more disappointing is that the restaurant was completely empty -- no other diners were there -- so there was no reason for the service to feel rushed or inflexible. The food itself was decent but severely over priced and very ironic since Cuban food is more about home cooked delicious foods, not fancy gourmet plates. So having "home cooked" food served fancy so they can over charge it is not worth the price. The lack of transparency, overcharging, and poor communication left a bad impression. I hope management addresses these issues, but honesty between menu and bill and good service are just as important as the food. The Cape is overflowing with Cuban restaurants much better than this one, so if if you want to feel fancy and don't mind overpaying to feel like you are eating "Cuban gourmet" by all means this is your place. But there are many more Cuban restaurants worth the lower prices and they will not take advantage of your table. read more

Not much on looks from the outside, but the inside is very beautiful and well decorated. The drinks were made very well. The Mojito was perfect along with the espresso Martini. The Ropa Vieja was delicious and the tomahawk steak was fantastic. It was a bit pricey but I did order the most expensive thing on the menu. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side with not many tables, which actually worked in its favor--service was quick and pleasant. The space is nicely decorated and clean, and parking was manageable without much hassle. The food was good overall--flavorful and enjoyable--but it didn't quite justify the price point. Expect to spend around $35-40 per person without alcohol, and for that amount, there are definitely better dining options elsewhere. One major drawback was the NOISE level. The live music was overwhelmingly loud at times - the volume was excessive, and the bass was overpowering. My wife was sitting directly across from me--about a foot away--and I couldn't hear a single word she said. For such a small space, better sound control is essential. We even received 3 noise alerts on our watch measuring over 94 dB, which says a lot. Overall, a decent experience with good service and solid food, but the high prices and extreme noise level make it hard to fully recommend. read more

Wow.... We randomly found this place through Yelp while visiting and we were so pleasantly surprised with our visit... the place was packed at 8:30 at night and although it seemed to take a bit to get our order we couldn't say enough positive and good things about the food. I had the lamb and my boyfriend has the pork . The fat on the pork was crispy and surrounded the pork perfectly. The lamb chops with the fig jam was spectacular. Even the rice I had the black beans my boyfriend has were perfectly seasoned. If I had a negative it would be the music was incredibly loud and we couldn't even have a conversation at our small table. But the music gets a pass since the food was so delicious. We were driving down Del Prado, and noticed a restaurant offering valet parking. As 40+ year residents of Cape Coral, we had never seen this before and curiosity get the best of us. We walked through the front door and it was like we were carried away to Cuba. Everything was gorgeous! The hostess, the decor, the menu, the TVs showing perfectly curated cocktails, the bar, and even the kitchen was perfect. We ordered the beef carpaccio for an appetizer and it was almost bigger than our table. The tender sliced beef was perfectly seasoned with olive oil and citrus and finished with a healthy amount of parmesan cheese. I ordered the ceviche appetizer for my main course and there was enough for my husband and I to share. My Husband ordered the pork tomahawk chicharrone. We have never seen anything like this dish. It was perfectly cooked and literally melted in your mouth. The dish was so big that we couldn't even finish it. The service was impeccable too! Great addition to cape. The decor is so cute inside, they have live music on Saturdays as well! Server was sweet, quick and attentive. Food was soooo good, I will definitely be back.
