Thanks to Yelp Elite, I was able to get a free Ybor sandwich at Cubanidad! That review is on a separate page. I also got the Cal-Neva Toast, which is vegan as-is. This is an open flatbread, the Cuban version of avocado toast. It is pretty messy but really good. It does have pickled onions which I took off. There is sooo much avocado on it and it's super delicious and fresh! The location is in a strip mall and a pretty nice size, with good indoor seating. It's next to Bad Owl and close to Seafood City and Trader Joe's. The staff are very nice. There are 2 entrances, one for dine-in and one for take out. It is a little confusing to know which spot to go. After ordering it seriously took 5 minutes to get the food to go, which is so fast. The food was super fresh and good! Staff is friendly. read more

Easily the best Cuban restaurant in town. The Lechon Asado is probably the best thing on the menu. The Cuban sandwich is good. And the guava cheese pastries are amazing. The only thing I found to be underwhelming are the steaks but I've only ever ordered takeout so that might be the reason why. read more

This is our third time to this restaurant and we love everything about it! The flavors are delicious and deep. The service is top notch - we don't want for anything when we eat here. Hubby had the flank steak. It's not always easy to get a medium rare on such a thin steak but they nailed it and it was flavorful. I had the shrimp creole. Very tasty - comfort style food for me! Like we're back in Miami -- but only the good joints. Pastelitos were flakey but more importantly warm! The guava cheese was jammy with a good amount of tanginess to offset the sweet. My pick over the coconut which was good, too. The skirt steak had strong flavor and a nice char. Good bite while still being tender. The chimichurri is bright and spicy, but even sans sauce the skirt steak stood out. When we needed a non-spicy sauce, and the staff provided us with a cilantro crema which was much appreciated! It may sound basic, but the cuban rice & beans sealed the deal. Not dry and appropriately seasoned. Even though I was full I couldn't stop picking at the rice. Spacious and clean seating area! Anna greeted us and, after looking the very full menu, I chose the Cuban Burrito. Chock full of pulled pork, black beans and vegetables, in a pressed tortilla, with fried banana chips, the meal was impressive. I found the food and the service very good. It's not the location we thought we were going to but once we got the food we didn't care. My wife grew up with a Cuban immigrant step-mother and the arroz-con-gris put a smile on her face that you could tell it took her back. La Ropa Vieja was on-point. And these days it's great to enjoy some quality authentic food without having to go to Dollar Loan Center to pay for it. read more

Recently found myself craving some Cuban food again and of course, found myself back here. After two years, I was still hyped from my last experience here. That being said, while most of the food on this trip was still delicious, a few things fell flat. I got food for my family, two Ybor sandwiches, a Toston Burger, a Pan con Bistec sandwich, four empanadas, and a potato ball stuffed with beef. The only things which were disappointing were the empanadas and the Bistec sandwich. The empanadas were super tiny, like two bites tiny and were $4. The Bistec sandwich barely had any flavor/seasoning on it. The Toston burger on the other hand was fantastic and though it looked small, it was very filling. The Ybor sandwiches, compared to the last time I got them, were a lot smaller. For the above, it was just under $80 which normally wouldn't be bad but for how small everything was, we were a bit disappointed. Even gave us some recommendations We decided to get the family meal that includes 1 rice , 2 large sides & 3 meat options. It fed all 4 of us & my daughter and still had some to take home. Having lived in South Florida for a decade, I know what a Cuban sandwich should be, and what I had here wasn't it. The bread should be crispy/pressed; this was soggy grilled, probably on a dirty grill. The pork was bland, and there wasn't enough pickles. Every bite should get all the flavors; you can't be cheap with the pickles. Now I understand the 4 and 5 star reviews; it wasn't a bad sandwich. But it wasn't an authentic Cuban sandwich, which iis what I drove up here to get. No sense trying anything else. These people are just fooling people who've never had real Cuban food. read more

We got a coupon in the mail for two dollars off each sandwich at Cubanidad. It reminded me that I haven't been there in over a year and I had really liked it when I was there last. My wife and I each ordered a sandwich. I got the 305 and she got the Ybor ($11 each before the discount). Each is pretty much the same with ham and pulled pork and cheese and pickles and other stuff inside. The Ybor also had salami I think that's all the differentiated the two sandwiches. Each was very good. It was more than we could finish. You order at the counter. If you are eating in, they bring the food to you. We had it to go (still don't eat indoors because of being Covid cautious). Overall, the restaurant is very clean and the staff is very friendly. I don't eat a lot, I am actually eating in small portions to keep it healthy, however after eating in this place I had to buy extra food, so I can feel not full but satisfied. Living in Miami for over 20 years, raised and born in Cuba, I've considered myself extremely knowledgeable of the culture and the food. The food taste great but for the value it is not worth it. After eating my plate we both (mother in law and myself) ended asking for another plate. Media Noche Sándwich (midnight Sandwich) normally for the value it includes French fries, well not this time, fries were not included on the price, almost $4 additional. Craved for dessert! Well let me tell you this is not the place one single Pastelito ( guava Pastry) is $2.95. I can always find them at Havanos Caffe way cheaper. Service is great, with the exception of the mexican cashier that only wants to talk to you in English even though I spoke to her in Spanish. I am Cuban in a Cuban restaurant and I am going to call my food the way it's written in the menu. If Spanish bothers you in a Latin restaurant then this is not the place for you to work. I understand that we should support our local business, however I will continue driving my three amazing hours and travel to Porto's. 10/10 highly recommend. The restaurant itself is so pretty if you have time to sit down and eat it's definitely got that tropical Cuban/Miami feel to it, and it's always sparkling clean. I am fan! First time at this location and I don't know why we waited this long to try them out. The style of ordering is that of a cafeteria, order and pay first and they deliver the food at your table. The food that we ate were a part of the special menu and it did not disappoint. The meat was flavored and cooked to perfection. It was tender and juicy and the the food was made fresh and delivered to our table hot. I love the desserts too. This is a hidden gem! I don't know why this place isn't crowded but it should be, if you're in the area and looking for great food and better service, this is the place! We came here on a whim after not being able to eat at Portos in LA because of the SUPER long line and was feeling Cuban. The prices are post inflation adjustment and yet was very reasonable still! I've been here twice now and each different thing I've had was great. The fried plantains was great and was like a very filling potato chip with many layers of a potatoey starchy flavor and many textures. Very crunchy on the outside yet soft on the inside. The flank steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was even better with the spicy chimichurri on top. It was very tender. I always get the Cuban rice which is a healthy portion of seasoned rice with beans and meat. My favorite part is the free style soda machine they had. The service is great as well with different staff asking how we were doing and how the food was even though it's more cafeteria style after they bring you the food. The food also comes out very quick and is cooked to order. In general, we only waited for only 5-10 minutes to get our order. Finally, the bathrooms were very clean. Service was good. Parking is convenient. Restaurant was clean and spacious. Prices were fair for entrees but I was a tad disappointed in the amount of maduros I got for how much I paid. We read that the empanadas were frequently dry so we didn't try them and focused on the sandwiches. They were very delicious but some of the meat was just a tad dry which I really don't like. Not enough for me to rave about them as being the best but they're good and I will return if I ever crave a Cubano in Las Vegas. read more
