Omg... these empanadas are no joke! They hit the spot immediately and they're actually a great deal at 3 for $12. I was surprised at how much filling was in each of them. Very generous portions. I got the spinach, cheeseburger and the chicken curry empanada. The only one that I wouldn't get again was the cheeseburger, it was extremely greasy and fatty which made it a really messy experience. The other two empanadas were incredible. I also got the cilantro aioli with them and it definitely didn't need the sauce but I appreciated the extra burst of flavor. My first time having these empanadas were from the farmers market at downtown Summerlin. Good to see them having another store front and this time at Town Square. Empanada Factory is located by the center play area, next to Lids I believe. There's so many different flavors to choose from. They even have vegan options too. You can buy them individually, packs of 3, 6 and 12. Husband and I opted for 6 at a total cost of $24.99. We chose beef, ranchera, bacon cheeseburger, spinach, Hawaiian adobo and curry chicken. My favorite was the spinach while my husband was the beef. And I agree, the beef is so flavorful! Get their dipping sauces!!! It takes these empanadas to a whole new level. At 50 cents each, I prefer the chimichurri over the aioli....although both were equally delicious. They make your order fresh so it CAN take a bit of time. It's a little sweeter and tastes less like a cold brew and I prefer it this way. And you get a straw and not a paper one. I think this is perfect for an area like town square because you really shouldn't be taking this to go in your car. It says it's seasonal so hopefully they make it permanent. We came in as soon as they opened. This is such a perfect breakfast food without feeling bloated afterwards. They would ask you if you wanna bake or fry the empanadas, and we chose bake. It took a little effort to find because we weren't familiar with the mall, but it was absolutely worth the search. The pastries are light, flaky, and generously filled, and the shop itself is bright, clean, and inviting. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We ordered three for $12.99 and went with the Ranchera, truffle mushroom, and Hawaiian adobo. The Ranchera and truffle mushroom were standouts--rich, creamy fillings with lots of flavor in every bite. The Hawaiian adobo was just okay for me; I wasn't quite sure what made it "Hawaiian," aside from what seemed to be pineapple. Congratulations to Empanada Factory on opening their second location. I've been a fan of theirs since trying their empanadas from their food truck years ago. Their Summerlin location is excellent and I'm glad they're in Town Square which is closer to my home. This location doesn't serve all the yummy sandwiches that their other location serves, but I could be content with a spread of their delicious empanadas. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. They have a large display of their empanadas and there is only 3 tables inside. They offer meat and meatless options as well as dessert empanadas. We lucked out and were able to snag a table to eat at. We ordered the seasonal hot chocolate which was $10, which is a little steep for hot chocolate but it was delicious with the torched marshmallow rim. We ordered the ham and cheese, shrimp, and humita (corn) empanadas with a side of the cilantro aioli. We waited for our drink and food to be prepared fresh and everything was worth the wait. The hot chocolate was delicious and creamy. The empanadas were all good. I have tried almost every flavor they offer and haven't had one I don't like. The service here is great. They're very welcoming and enthusiastic towards all their guests. You can tell they really want you to enjoy your food and experience. The empanadas are amazing. We tried 3 empanadas (BBQ Chicken, Chicken Alfredo, Curry Chicken) and a street sandwich. I was between the Chicken Milanese and Choripan and ultimately decided for the latter. The Choripan comes with Argentinian chorizo, cheese, and roasted bell pepper. Food took about 10 minutes to come out. I was assuming the chorizo would be ground up, however it was sausage links cut in half on the sandwich. The meat was chewy and I instantly regretted not getting the Chicken Milanesa. The fries were the saving grace as they were nice and crispy. Out of the three empanadas, the BBQ chicken was definitely the best. We didn't finish the chicken alfredo or chicken curry if that says anything. Overall, we were fairly underwhelmed but I am wondering if we just didn't get the right items. We have sampled a few different ones and each one was packed with flavor, and the crust was perfectly crispy . The empanadas are so good and filled in pretty good. Loved the stamps on the empanadas that helped in sorting them all. The bbq was a bit sweet for me. The meat didn't taste seasoned. All it tasted to me was like bbq sauce. The apple was good but could have used that to be a bit sweeter. The shrimp was seasoned and amazing in every way. The Cuban is also very tasty. What makes them is the breading. They did a great job. We were so excited to try this place. So we visited during NYE. We arrived at the establishment around 11:06am. There was a small line from the door to the order counter. We noticed there was only one worker juggling taking orders and making the orders. So it did take a while for us to place our order. Once it was our turn to order. We've already waited for 30mins. The worker told us she will get to us in a bit, and we were very understandable since she was the only one working then. We waited for another almost 10mins for her to take our order. We saw a bunch of people waiting, and it seemed like they have been waiting for a very long time for their orders. Eventually, another worker arrived. We finally got our order of 6 empanadas, but we were still waiting for 3 drinks. I took the kiddos out to watch the balloon drop, and came back to my sister still without the drinks. So she went up to the counter, and told them that we were still waiting for the drinks. They told her it was given to us. It took us too long to explain to them what our drinks were, and what type of milk. When two of the drinks were ready. One was the wrong order. No sorry or apology from any of them. My sister's drink was not even warm. I give their empanadas a 4/5. Service was what threw us off. We stayed at the establishment waiting for 1 1/2 hours just for 6 empanada and three drinks. The girl behind the counter was confirming my order and when I asked her to repeat it (wanting to ensure its accuracy), another employee cut in and said, "yeah, this is your order." Having never had a major problem with this place prior and being that I was the only customer there--my order should not have been incorrect. How then do I have only half of what I paid for? It's worse that I was cut off in an attempt to ensure its accuracy and then dismissed as I thanked them kindly while I walked out. Frankly, I would have even been okay with the wrong six--since it would have been at least my money's worth. To have only half after being rudely dismissed, just to find that I was right to have attempted to check my order in the first place? It is too much.
