Burger Classique w/ Sweet Potato Fries
    Gordon Y.

Cuisine: 6 Service: 7 Decor: 8 Value: 7 Overall: 7 Last night, I was on my way to my usual Lovely's Old Fashioned for a burger when I saw this spot on 10th Avenue. Looked up Yelp reviews and was wow'ed by all the five star ratings. Therefore, I had to check it out to compare with my favorite burger in the area. Upon entering, the narrow shop provides a wide counter on the right full of board games and even a small Pac Man game machine. Guess some people come in and game a little while they eat. This shop definitely gives off the family friendly neighborhood vibe that locals may appreciate. As for the food, there were two of us, so we shared a Burger Classique and Cub's Pub. For some reason, the Burger Classique came out lukewarm and very dry. It was not enjoyable at all. Honestly, if this burger is the only one we shared, we would not come back again for sure. However, the Cub's Pub was served hot and quite delicious. The combination of Swiss cheese and caramelized onions, along with the black pepper aioli and tangy sauce, was great. Btw, our Sweet Potato Fries were good, but not as crispy as expected since we specifically requested "extra crispy." Regardless, they were satisfactory. On the other hand, the Fried Onion Rings were a fail. We didn't like the batter and the onions were barely noticeable. I would possibly come back for that burger or try the more Sylvester Smash, which is more of a smash burger. They also have a Chopped Cheese and hot dog that I would get next time.

Wow just an amazing experience, I was visiting NYC for the weekend and just needed food and this was near by didn't think much of it but it far exceeded my expectations. The owner/employee was outside waiting and brought us in, he was super nice. We ordered and sat down and it was so cool. There were games you could play while eating like tic tac toe or chess etc and even Pac-Man! It was such a cool vibe. The food was really good and the shakes were as well I had a burger which was a perfect medium well. Such a cool and good " hole in the wall" 10/10

Really delicious and affordable! Very nice staff and super fast service. There are games scattered about while you wait or dine. Very clean. The burgers were cooked to perfection and the fries / onion rings were delicious.

Great local spot on 10th Avenue with fresh delicious hamburgers and fries. Recently ordered delivery, came quickly and everything was hot. The grilled cheese and tomato soup special looks so good. If you dine in there is plenty of seating. There are weekly specials such as the Community Combo where you get a burger and fries for $11.00 with $1 from the sale going directly to supporting clubs/sports at Beacon High School around the block. I've met the owner a few times at community events and he's a really nice guy. Go!

Delicious !!!!! I will be back. Cute burger spot. Taste fresh. Sweet potato fries were also 10/10! Super quick and warm spot. Great service

Does the trick if you need a quick burger. Though I think I prefer Lovely's nearby. But this place does have fun little games spattered throughout the narrow restaurant. Cub's Pub: I do like how this was a double cheeseburger, so quite meaty. Nice soft sesame bun. But the whole thing felt kinda dry. I imagine they added aioli and tangy sauce, since it was on the menu. But I had to keep dipping it in ketchup. So not ideal.

This is a small little restaurant me and my friends stopped and holy heck is it really good! It's very small but it has very cute art works on the wall and the food is AMAZING! My sandwich "the greaser" was basically a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato on SOURDOUGH and it was genuinely an amazing sandwich. I also had a strawberry milkshake and it was very good, wasn't too thick or sugary so it went really well with my food. This place also plays really good music and the staff were very friendly!

Great burger, great value, and great service! I came here to get a burger, fries, and a shake and was so happy with what I got! The veggie burger is a garden burger style patty and super delicious with the various toppings and the regular burger was cooked perfectly and so flavorful! There was an option for Cajun fries or regular so we got one of each and I think the regular was better. We got a cookies and cream shake and it was so creamy, perfectly sweet, and cold. The best part was that the worker was so friendly and helpful - it felt like having a friend make a meal for you. I will definitely be back for burgers and to try the other shake flavors!

I discovered Cubby's through Classpass and have now been back a few times. It's a fantastic treasure nestled within the beauty that is Hell's Kitchen. It's a quaint locale that exudes charm and charisma that brings you back to a simpler time. Charles, the owner, "gets it" and truly cares about the community. I am leading with this, because all great businesses need an iron-clad foundation, and his leadership provides this. The first few times I ordered there I got the burger, but this time I ordered a breakfast sandwich. Hands down the best breakfast sandwich, I have ever eaten. Food, ambiance, culture. This place has it all, and if you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop by! Kevin R.

I wandered in to Hell's kitchen and found Cubby's. I ordered a Sylvester Smash and some fries. My Burger was tasty, but small. The Fries were very salty. Cubby's adds a 3.5 percent surcharge for credit cards. $20.51 for lunch. Thank U next!

This place was so cute. It's small but the take out game is on point. We stopped in for lunch and there weren't enough seats for us so we got take out. We both had their hamburger lunch combo. It's $16.50 and it's their burger, soda, fries, and ice cream. The ice cream was surprisingly way better than I'd expect from a burger place. We tried the pistachio and the strawberry and their bright bright colors were a little scary but absolutely delicious. The cashier mentioned they usually have punch cards but they're out so we got some super cute stickers! I already recommended this place to my parents for when they want a treat.

Stumbled upon this place after the intrepid museum and so glad I did! The space was so cute and clean and had an assortment of games, cookbooks, and an arcade game. The food came out quickly and was fresh and absolutely delicious! Prices are also extremely reasonable and the owner also could not be nicer. Definitely recommend!

Let me just say this place is a 9/10 for burgers ! I opted for the custom burger which had , lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, pepper jack cheese with a black pepper aioli. Let me just say it was delicious! I loved how fresh all the ingredients were and how well made the burger was! I definitely devoured it haha. The fry's I got had old bay seasoning but they were overly fried which wasn't bad but didn't have the soft texture of fries. Overall the place is a small but fun spot with games on the counter for you to play like uno and connect 4 and cute for a date nite or just to hang with friends over some good burgers! Also the service was quick and pleasant.

We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

He was constantly busy zippin around but maintained a nice demeanor and made everyone feel welcome! Must orders of mine: the burger! Although small, it comes out piping hot and the fresh white onion between the bottom bun and burger is awesome because it doesn't make the bottom bun soggy and catches all the juices from the actual meat. Love subbing the fries for a Caesar salad! Standout appetizer is the fried zucchini and eggplant with tzatziki-- crispy, hot, juicy and I get it every time!

The…read morepull apart truffle monkey bread was our initial reason for coming, and although the price point was quite steep, I would say it's worth the try. The bread was fluffy and not dry, which I had seen previous reviews say before. Paired with the creamy truffle butter, it had a luxurious mouthfeel. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. Although the space was packed, it didn't feel too loud or crowded. We spent about two hours and didn't feel rushed.

I went on a Thursday night, and the place was absolutely packed. The front feels more like a bar/casual area, while the dining room is tucked toward the back. My reservation was at 10:15 PM, so I actually had a light dinner beforehand and ordered a little lighter than I normally would. I got: - Truffle Monkey Bread ($34.99) - Prime Rib French Dip ($39.99) - Pommes Frites ($13.99) - Banana Split Sundae ($24.99) I thought the prices were definitely on the higher end when I first sat down, but the Truffle Monkey Bread is divine! Honestly, it's probably in my top 3 bread experiences of my life. If you love truffle, butter, cheese, and basically everything good in life, please get this. It comes out slightly warm and is just incredible. I will probably dream about this bread. The French Dip was good, although it was a little too salty for me. If I get the chance to come back, I'd probably try one of their actual steaks instead. The pommes frites were super crispy, basically McDonald's fries but elevated. The Banana Split Sundae was so pretty. I loved how they placed all the little treats around the crevices/imprints of the dish (not sure how else to describe it ). It's huge, though, so definitely don't expect to finish it yourself. I'd recommend sharing it with 3+ people. I was also celebrating an anniversary, and they brought out a strawberry scoop for us. It tasted homemade and really fresh. I could actually see pieces of strawberry in it, which I loved. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.
