As a person traveling here from Az I absolutely appreciate and enjoy eateries like this. I ordered a fresh beet and greens juice and branded a premade sushi roll package. The whole place looked delicious and each item was around $10. Everything was fast and efficient and perfect because I was in the middle of a long day of authorship and book release and had a small break. Thank you!

I love their sandwiches!! The wraps are made to order and taste delicious and affordable, especially for the area. This is a great go to place for lunch if you work in the area or just a tourist looking for a no-frills lunch

Came by for lunch the other day and it was an ok experience. Cook eatery is located on 45th between 7th and 8th. The store has numerous "sections" including a hot buffet featuring meats, vegetables, and carbs. There is also a cold buffet featuring salads and fruit, all for $15.99/lb The line to pay was also quick, although there appears to be a slight surcharge for paying by credit card.

Stopped in for a quick drink on the walk back to my hotel and was not expecting to walk into a quick stop buffet. While I didn't grab any food, I was amazed at all the options available.

    Emergency exit concern

The bagel itself was good, which is the main reason for the two stars. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The person speaking Spanish (who claimed to be the owner) was intrusive and obnoxious. No one asked for commentary, and it was uncomfortable to have someone repeatedly interrupt conversations. If you're not being spoken to, it's best to give customers space. Our order was also incorrect: we asked for no onions and received extra onions, and we asked for no egg but still got egg. Attention to basic order details needs serious improvement. On top of that, the emergency exit was blocked with chairs, which is a safety concern (see image). The food has potential, but customer service, order accuracy, and safety standards need much more focus.

Stopped to grab a quick Sandwich and absolutely loved the Sub that I go. It was loaded with meat, and the price was pretty decent. Bought some Pastries as well, and they were yummy too.

Great spot for smoothies and other goodies. They even made me a custom smoothie not on the menu. Also picked up some protein bars, they had a great selection.

A wide selection of food from pastries, muffins, coffee bar, a hot and cold breakfast buffet ($13.95/pound), cheesecake, juices, wine, and made to order sandwiches. I got pancakes and sausage one day with a juice for $6 and an almond raisin pastry one day. Prices were good and location was quick and convenient. Service was okay. 2023 #95

Visited Cook Eatery the other day through an external app and I have to say that every time I go to Cook Eatery, I am please with the portions and food they offer. I got a Caesar salad, flavored chicken, dumplings, and garlic noodles with a side of radish soup. I was in awe of how great everything tasted and the staff were very nice as well. The worker said I could take some utensils home and processed my order at the cashier relatively quickly. Just knowing that an employee is present to greet me with a smile is something I always love seeing. Ambiance was nice with great lighting and it's located in Times Square, so it is very convenient for office workers and those traveling. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5

This is the kinda place to go to if you don't know what you want when you walk in that you could potentially walk out with a little bit of everything. I started off wanting the bimibap and ended up with a very hearty chicken sandwich. I just love the concept that you can get a deli sandwich, choose from a buffet, or even get sushi or a ramen bowl. Just do much to choose from including a refrigerator case of beverages and I loved it. Bravo! Also quick service and I got a great view on the second floor while eating my sandwich.

    Superman Smoothie

All American sandwich and the Superman smoothie were both fire. Not overly expensive and also delicious with friendly workers. Come here for something good and affordable.

Omelet platters. Comes with two pieces of buttered toast.

This place was close to our hotel so we stopped by after check out for a quick bite before the airport. It was alright. It's a big eatery with different stations. The chefs were friendly and food was prepared there in front of us. They have udon, sandwiches, omelets, etc and a whole floor or seating upstairs. We tried omelets and it was something we would probably make at home. Nothing was seasoned and the eggs have some meat/veggies based on what you order and a side of toast. The potato fries were bland and could have been fried and seasoned more. The hash brown was mushy from not being toasted enough and placed on top of a hot omelet in a to go box. They also have a buffet in the back and a lot of snacks/beverages. This place would be good if you're staying nearby and need a quick snack or want an inexpensive meal.

Small space inside but you don't need much space to make bussin sandwiches. Walking or public transportation is preferred. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here after a long day doing booth duty at a summit and was starving from not eating the entire day. Fortunatley the place was pretty quiet since it was 2pm and I got my orders in. For sandwiches, I ended up getting the Favolosa and the Italiana. The favolosa had a delicious artichoke cream and salami that was a banger. The italiana had all your great italian cured meats as well as a truffle cream sauce that made the umami bomb even more umami. So good! THE FINAL BAMBOO: The two sandwiches were around $45, a little pricier on the sandwich side but man are they delicious. I'll definitely be back when I'm in NYC.

Someone order a Hot Italian? Here I am…read more The legendary Florentine sandwich shop achieved global fame by earning some of the highest praise in food journalism for its massive, fresh-baked schiacciata sandwiches. Google their name and "best" and get hundreds of hits, but the majors who crowned them "best sandwich" title include Saveur Magazine, the big one touted by the family; Eater NY, ranking La Paradiso the most elite Italian sandwich outside of Italy; Las Vegas Weekly, who crowned them "Home of the world's best sandwiches"; TripAdvisor, for whom the Italian original is the most reviewed eatery with a near perfect rating; and The Infatuation NYC guides who promise the execution of the crispy, airy schiacciata bread completely justifies the hype. All 17 options looked amazing, so I spoke to a regular in line, telling her I couldn't decide between "La Paradiso", the most praised (even though she informed me "mortadella is just bolonie" or the Hot Italian, which was more my style. So, I did what any gluttonous American would do and I got both. And a Diet Coke, of course. La Paradiso has thinly sliced bolonie for a savory base, with creamy shredded stacciatella cheese, with sweet but earthy pistachio cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pistachio for texture (that I didn't detect). It was good, but I will likely fuggedaboutit. The Hot Italian had thin, lean turkey, spicy and smoky spreadable Calabrian pork sausage, a balancing provolone, calabrian chili honey, and peppery arugula (that they claim adds crunch that I didn't detect). Were they life-changing? No. But I rank Paradiso a 8.8 and Hot Italian a 10. And because everyone is hard-working and everything is so freshly prepared and cut, it's a class act. They should seriously make a sign that says, "Can't decide? Get two!" and then give me free sandwiches on my yearly trips for the idea.

We ducked here to grab some nourishment before I became to hangry. Ordering takes place at the counter then grab a table. I had a 1/2 bowl of their "famous chicken soup" and 1/2 pastrami sandwich. Had good flavor and was enough to warm me up on this brisk morning. My niece did a bagel, and after trying all week she finally got one exactly how she wanted it made. We ate and chilled for a bit, no plans for the day other than making it to the airport to go home. Was able to people watch and catch up without feeling rushed to leave. Saw locals come through, so you know it is a place worth stopping. The staff were nice and even apologized for not being able to give me the soup I wanted in a half order. Though things can often get overlooked and passed by in the hustle and bustle of the city...stop in and relax while you grab a bite to eat.

Date of visit: April 14, 2026…read more Our friend wanted to go to a real New York deli during her first trip to the city and this is the one in the vicinity of Times Square and our evening show that was the highest rated according to my fellow Yelpers, but I am not quite sure why based on our experience. Things did start out great, with Boudjema being very friendly and helpful as we placed our order. And once we got seated, we were able to fully appreciate the vibe, both in the primarily 70s playlist, but also the mirror and brass touches across the restaurant. Food-wise, however, there were some definite opportunities. My Roasted Turkey sandwich did come on quite possibly the best rye bread I have ever had, warm and flavorful. But while the gravy was also good, the turkey was cold. This odd temperature mismatch made it hard to appreciate the generous portion of meat on the sandwich. We also ordered some tater tots and those were quite good. While it definitely could have been worse--and I've had worse in New York City--this also could have been so much better.
