Post-exam day one jitters solved with a stop here for a dependable pour of drip coffee. Cool standard coffee-shop vibe with tons of seating and an extensive drink selection!

Located in the Hickory Ridge Park, this is a cute cafe. Was nearby and looking for coffee, but not a chain. This place popped up in my search. After a few missed turns I found Mad City. O ordered the chocolate raspberry drip coffee to go. It was pretty good. There's plenty of seating inside. I received great service by Jaslin!

I was overwhelmed with how many coffee options were on this menu. It was a little confusing at first looking at their menu in person, but their menu online clarifies all of their options. The food was also great and filling! I loved how light the egg was. It was busy on a Tuesday morning so it took some time to get the coffee and food. The table space was a little tight but there were plenty of tables if you wanted to dine in.

Delightful staff, smooth espresso, and yummo pastries make Mad City a must for your neighborhood caffeine fix. I recommend the black and white cookie, and chocolate cake. Tum tum engaged... cheers!

8.26.23 Stopped in to wish our niece a happy birthday. While there, hubby and I each ordered an iced mocha coffee and I got a chocolate chip cookie. Didn't know they could make iced mocha. It was really good.

Great place to grab a coffee and something to eat. Love the atmosphere and customer service , cool place to bring your laptop and study or get some work done. I would definitely recommend it to anyone :)

Good local coffee shop! Only tried their coffee (brewed coffee) and it was pretty great. Very reasonable price as well: ~$4 for a 16oz coffee :) The place was crowded on a Thursday morning. Lots of spaces to sit down. Service was decent; said it was my first time visiting and they did a good job explaining different roasts. Generally a hip vibe, nothing fancy but I would definitely recommend getting coffee here over Starbucks if you are in the area. Much better coffee for a similar price point. Plus, support small biz!

The coffee was horrible. Tasted like sour milk was used. Way better coffee places in the area to spend your hard earned money at.

Went for coffee, not too many options odd, isn't a coffee shop?. Staff was not very knowledgeable. Not to many options for breakfast either.

Tip: pack your patience…read more I've been wanting to try Cafe Columbia since I heard they have the option to add ice cream to the crepe. Ice cream with crepes are one of my favorite type of crepes, and that's exactly what I ordered; a crepe with ice cream. I walked in and the cafe was bustling with people enjoying their meal, and the workers preparing meals. It was a full house, however, I was able to grab a table for two. French Toast Crepe: this simple yet tasty crepe fit the bill. It had cinnamon flavor with whipped cream and I opted for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It didn't come with fruit which I will add next time (yes, there will be a next time). Belgium Waffle: another simple item yet the batter was better than I expected. It didn't come with toppings. It came with a lite dusting of powdered sugar and came with room temperature butter. Chai Latte: this was good on the first sip. It seemed watered down and I would have preferred more flavor. Then again, I'm not a regular drinker of chai latte, and my daughter seemed to enjoy it. So don't count this out. When we ordered the staff gave us a disclaimer the crepe would take about 25 minutes. I didn't mind at the time. It took longer than that; however, I could see the workers constantly working on preparing meals so it didn't bother me. We got the waffle about 25 minutes later so we decided to share both the waffle and crepe. The crepe came out about 20 minutes later. The cafe has a well thought out layout. It has tables on each side, a reading area, and an area with complimentary water next to the coffee/tea station. The little station has water, cups, sugar, napkins and creamer (not pictured because it was packed and constantly occupied). On the other side you'll find more tables, the restrooms, and an ostracized nook that had someone in there occupying the chairs for what seemed like quiet time. Customer service is good. Parking is free in a huge parking lot for the business building. The cafe is located at the front of a shared business building. The menu has a variety of waffles with and without fruit options; crepes made either savory or sweet; and coffee drink options. There is an ice cream bar for scoops of ice cream or milkshakes; and lastly some fruit cups. Overall, I enjoyed the cafe and plan to add it to my list of favorites.

So the flight was for different ice lattes paired with a pastry, which was a croissant a Blondie brownie, a macaroon and lastly.strawberry cake for $25. It took a while for the flight to be prepared because I think they're a little bit shortstaffed on a Monday morning, but they had a lot of comfortable places to sit and wait. The corn beef sandwich came out good and I mentioned it was simple because it's literally just corn beef with some white bread and some cheese, but it was actually pretty tasty for breakfast. The coffee flight came out and it's on a large paddle and it looked really delicious. I have to say the regular flavored lattes and the croissant weren't my favorite choices, but as I started moving down the paddleboard towards flavored lattes and the Blondi bar, it was pretty good. My favorite latte was the butter beer and my favorite pastry actually turned out to be the Blondie brownie bar. The inside has enough seating for about 50 people and it's really cutely decorated. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the mood for a coffee after a day of shopping in Ellicott city.

There were 6 of us, and they were able to put two tables together to accommodate us. I was overall disappointed with the food. The waffle which I paid $5 for was super small and there were just chunks of sugar in it. I also ordered scrambled eggs with spinach and cheese. The spinach came out on the side of the eggs and was uncooked. The cheese was not melted, and the eggs were burnt (dark brown and dry). The waitress was kind enough to take the eggs back for the cheese and spinach to be mixed/melted. They were still burnt and flavorless. I picked around and ate what I could. I also ordered some kind of spinach and feta pastry from the front case, which was good. We also all enjoyed the homefries which were crispy with a unique seasoning. We ordered the stuffed french toast which had a great flavor, but it wasn't really stuffed, there were just toppings on it. My nephew ordered the chicken and waffles. He's 15. I'm guessing that waitress assumed he was a kid and gave him the kids portion. Either way, the fried chicken looked like two pieces of frozen chicken schnitzel. My mother ordered the Reuben and did not like it at all because it lacked flavor.

The potatoes had no grease and I couldn't stop eating them. I had the Belgian waffle with two very flavorful scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. Now for the best part - the waffle arrived with regular warmed syrup AND warmed Bananas Foster Butter Rum syrup. It was the most delicious syrup ever! They sure knocked it out of the ballpark with this!!! I actually had some of both syrups on my waffle! Decadent! Our server, Stiven, smiled the entire time, offered suggestions and was very polite. Nice clean restaurant and bathrooms. There is outdoor seating with beautiful aqua umbrellas, tables and chairs. Servers were constantly out there, so you wouldn't be ignored.
