They doubled our rent in a year; the hallways were dirty and had a nauseating stench; there were rodent droppings in the unit and in our stuff - we had to throw some stuff out; there was rodent dirt where they had tunneled into our unit (see pic). The unit I got was a great deal! The insurance seemed a bit high but even with that added, the rent was still a great price considering Montgomery County. The access gate is simple and the units were overall clean, though the surrounding area of my unit on the outside smelled like urine, but the inside was fine. The best was the quick and seamless process from reserving online to setting everything up in store. Mr. Stevenson was very polite and helpful and even went out of his way to notnonly find me a dolly/cart, but he drove it over to me in the golf cart! I also was having trouble with a trunk of mine (the heaviest piece I had, and the only one I knew I'd need help with) and he helped me take it down safely from my car. I stored toner cartridges in two storage units, one climate controlled. This supposed climate controlled unit was freezing cold, we could see our breath in it when we went to check on the inventory in winter, and much of it was destroyed. When we junked the units and went to close the account they would not speak with someone from my company, they could only speak with me directly, so my accountant was automatically put out of the picture, inconveniencing us both. Apparently we cannot close the account thia same day (for reasons unbeknownst to myself), but they are still trying to charge $700 for 2 empty units on the very same day. We are now taking them to court where we will get compensation for our ruined inventory and for their clerical errors. read more

Today I had an argument with a guy who entered the property using the exit door. We had a big argument about it. For a company that advertises outstanding customer service, my experience at the Snouffer School Cube Smart was quite the opposite! We rented a 10'20' interior unit; however, this site did not have a dolly available! The store manager, Axel, failed to mention this critical piece of information to us after we signed all the paperwork, made payment and took out the company truck (only good thing about this review) to pick up our furniture. After returning with a truck full of heavy furniture, lo and behold, no dolly!! As a manager of a storage facility, one would think that someone renting a large, interior storage unit would need a dolly to haul furniture! As a solution, we were moved to an outside, not climate controlled unit which was not our desire but were left with no choice. Moving is already a headache by itself and any service to lessen the burden makes a big difference. This review shouldn't be a reflection to other locations or the company as a whole. Management at this particular location was rude and dismissive instead of being helpful and apologetic. A little common sense goes a long way! All of this could have easily been avoided had they mentioned no dollies were available in the beginning instead of when we returned with a truck full of heavy furniture. We got a huge 10x30 storage unit for my mother in law when she moved to a smaller place and couldn't part with a lot of her "stuff". Renting it was easy and it was cheaper than the other options in the area. The staff is courteous over the phone and in person. We rented it in my name and then a few months later changed it to her name and that process was easy enough, though it required both of us to go into the office. The units are very clean and bright, and the feel of the place in general is not sketchy at all. We've only run into a few other renters and everyone has been friendly. My only beef, and this may be a common thing in storage business, is that after 3 months they raised the price. I'm wondering if that's going to happen regularly. If it is, it's kind of a nasty way to take advantage of the fact that your stuff is stuck there unless you want to pay a moving company (again) to take it elsewhere... The manager who got me started on the storsge unit was very helpful. The process was quick and painless. Loved that I got a tour of the facility. My only issue is that if you are still within the gates after gate hours, you stay locked in. Another facility I used in the past had pressure plates so the gates would open. But other than that I am satisfied with what I have. It serves its purpose. read more

AWFUL! DO NOT STORE ANYTHING VALUABLE HERE! I needed to rent a dry and temperature controlled space for my musical instruments, furniture and other household items for about 2 years, and was a timely paying customer. They promised me on move in that if they found any changes to the building they'd call me. I never got one phone call. On my move out day, I found that my unit had been leaking and I had to throw away book shelves, a leather ottoman, bedding, pillows and more because of mold and mildew growth. When I asked them what service I was paying for (considering they owed me a DRY AND TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED SPACE) the lady at the front desk promised me 4.5 months back rent and they'd mail me a check. About two weeks later I checked in, found out corporate denied this offer, and I was left with nothing, not even a call back. I would never rent here again, and never recommend this place, because you'd be paying for nothing but a leaky shoe box. read more

Highly professional and friendly front-desk staff. My first unit was as advertised and have not had any problems with it. Easy access and well-maintained units. The only reason I did not give five stars is because unless you ask, they don't inform that if you need to move up to larger unit, you have to give the customary 30 days notice of vacating, move out and then obtain a new/larger unit; you cannot just pay the difference for the larger unit and transfer your goods. Also, they don't offer a loyal customer discount if you rent more than one unit simultaneously. EMPLOYEE CRAZY ATTITUDE!! the manager that gave me his business card said he is the general manager. But he was very rude to me and I just wanted more information on my bill. when I first walk in he look upset about some thing. any way i simply I ask for his supervisor phone number or email but he just went around in circles that I can speak to him.
