Heavily damaged our furniture, refused to reimburse for repairs, increased quoted price, and more…read morethan doubled the original quoted shipping time. I would highly recommend avoiding if you haven't anything close to fragile that you care about. - USF movers heavily damaged most of our wooden furniture. Two legs were broken off a dresser and almost everything wooden suffered heavy abrasions, scratches, or had chunks removed because they didn't wrap the furniture with blankets. - On delivery, the owner Mike said that he'd reimburse us for repairing the damaged furniture. However, even though we got this agreement in writing, after getting two repair quotes, Mike later refused to reimburse us for repairs because he thought the quotes were too expensive. Instead, Mike wanted us to trust him to take the furniture halfway across the country to get it repaired more cheaply at a place that specializes in leather repairs, but our damaged furniture is wooden. Needless to say, there was no way we were going to trust USF with that after they consistently underdelivered on their promises. - USF emailed us two days before our move day to increase their quoted move price from 6-7.5k to 8k. - When we booked the move, we were told the truck would deliver 2 days after move out. On move out day, we were then told 4-5 days. The owner, Mike, said the delay was to fix the dresser leg they broke while loading the truck. We asked to just not repair it so that the delivery wouldn't be delayed, but this didn't change USF's estimated delivery date. So Mike lied about why the delivery date was extended. They delivered after 5 days. - I eventually got Mike to agree to pay for about half of the repair costs in exchange for taking down this review (probably the only reason he gets good ratings). Our move was in October 2024 and as of July 2025, he hasn't finished paying, so I'm putting the review back up.

For future tenants-- do not rent here!!! Beware that all the good reviews were for amazing spaces…read moreand smart shop is changing it all and removing all the perks of what we paid a premium for. Smart stop acquired amazing spaces and ruined it all. They didn't tell any of us current tenants who came in one day and all the sudden the gates wouldn't open and they wouldn't let us into our lockers without a fight. They switched hands in the acquisition overnight and didn't tell any customers that changes were happening and they just locked everything up and told you to go home when you came to get things from your locker the next day! Unbelievable. Took a full week to get the elevators working so I had to go and get all of my daily e-commerce packages up 3 flights of stairs. There should have been a transition plan to have this not affect current paying customers. This could have been avoided but shows exactly how little this company cares about its people and customers. The front office has told us they no longer accept packages on our behalf and put them in your locker- a big perk of the old amazing spaces. Being able to ship things directly to your locker- no more and without any warning!! Now my packages are getting refused and they are calling me to come get them on the weekend. It's been 4 days since they told us of this policy change and things are already in transit we can't stop! We all recognize that companies change hands but to have ZERO transition plan for this is infuriating because this is a premium storage center and we are paying for the amenities that are now gone. The staff has turned over and they were the heart of amazing spaces too. I don't think smart stop realizes or prioritized people at all. They are starting out on the WRONG foot here by treating people so poorly and then also being rude when you talk to them. They certainly don't care about the current customers they have that they have treated so poorly in this acquisition. Current customers need compensation for this level of downgraded service to keep staying here or we are gone. They have offered nothing. They gave me 30 days to accept a new contract with them or vacate. The new public rate is lower than my current rate yet they said they will not match it unless I move units and vacate my current one. After all they've put us through this is mind boggling how poorly they are behaving. Save your sanity and steer clear of Smart Shop. Don't pay a premium to be walked all over here and treated rudely.

Anthony Murillo and his team genuinely did an incredible job with my long distance move from Houston to Tyler (3.5 hr drive). They arrived on time (they asked to start at 6 am as opposed to the usual 7 am to avoid traffic + rain). They very quickly packed all of my furniture and loaded all my boxes. With the three of them they were able to load everything in just over an HOUR! They wrapped everything well and transported things carefully. There's only minor damage to one item that I've noticed so far but I'm fine with it. They drove the distance and arrived to the destination earlier than anticipated because we avoided rush hour traffic. They unloaded everything and reassembled as requested. What was originally estimated to be a 7 hour move (1.5 hr load, 4 hr drive, 1.5 hr unload) ended up being just over 5 hours due to their diligence. I ended up paying much less than anticipated for very high quality work because they worked so fast and efficiently. Highly recommend this crew and this company!

I called at 2:00PM and they were here at 3:00 PM for the move. The man was so accommodating and very careful with all of the furniture, they wrapped everything and took it off after relocating it. They were efficient, professional, had all needed equipment for the move and listened to directions on the placement of the pieces. I have moved over 17 times in my life and this was the best experience of all. The men are respectful and friendly.

To anyone considering Square Cow Movers: do yourself a favor and look elsewhere…read more I did my homework. I spoke with multiple moving companies. In the end, it was Square Cow's overly confident answering service that convinced me to go with them. Big mistake. I hired them to move a large bedroom set from a second-floor bedroom to the garage--something I clearly communicated was not a simple task. I had over four phone calls, sent multiple photos, and explicitly discussed the risks and challenges involved. Each time, I was told everything was "in the notes" and the movers would be properly equipped with straps and the right tools. I even spoke directly with the operations manager the day before the move. He reassured me--again--that his crew would be fully prepared. He even advised me not to purchase additional insurance, claiming it was an easy job and not worth the extra cost. Then moving day arrived. The crew showed up completely unprepared. No straps. No proper equipment. Within minutes, they dropped the first piece of furniture, severely damaging it. The rest of the move was borderline reckless. The crew themselves admitted that Square Cow doesn't provide them with tools or care about their safety--or the customers' belongings. According to them, "Square Cow only cares about making money." After my experience, I believe it. I filed a damage claim, and now I'm stuck in their slow, unresponsive process that may take up to 90 days to maybe--maybe--get a fraction of what the damage is worth. Bottom line: they talk a good game on the phone, but they have zero follow-through. The left hand has no clue what the right is doing, and they clearly don't equip their crews to do the job safely or professionally. Their so-called claims department is a joke. Don't fall for the sales pitch. There are better, more honest companies out there. Square Cow Movers is not one of them.

We moved over 4 months ago and Ricky (the owner) still has a large amount of our belongings and he won't respond to texts or phone calls. This has been one of the worst experiences of our lives. I wouldn't wish any of this on my worst enemy! We ended up paying Ricky over 10,000 and our quote was under $5000. We had to take out two loans to pay him. He only delivered half our stuff two weeks after we moved and almost 4 weeks after that he delivered a small load. I know we will never see that rest our our belongings and it breaks my heart because some of the items were family heirlooms. My husband had over $4000 worth of pneumatic tools stolen out of his tool box. He stole all of our Joeys for Dish and we are being charged for them not being returned Please don't even consider using this mover!!!

United Movers…read more(also terrible) hired them without my consent and now I'm paying an extra thousand dollars to get my furniture (a month late) because of either 1) a miscommunication on Unite to Houston First regarding what services I needed or 2) Ricky at Houston First knows he can hold your property hostage for a month and you'll have to pay whatever he asks.Both are probably likely, I started a new job in a new state 3 weeks ago. I have been sleeping on my floor with only a duffel bag of clothes and regular promises from United through Houston that my stuff will arrive "around the beginning of the week....for several weeks.
