He kept asking me to change our pickup day and time. Each time I told him I couldn't change my plans. He could have simply told me it didn't work for them, but each time he'd say OK and I would confirm the day, time, and location of pickup at the end of the conversation. Then the next day he'd ask me to change it up again. When the day finally arrived, he texted me at 6:45 am and told me they were going to be almost 3 hours earlier than the scheduled time. Again, at no point did he disclose there was a pickup window. He had confirmed our appointment on multiple occasions. It almost ruined the whole process because we were picking up our item from friends, so I couldn't just randomly change the plan with no notice. Kareem was rude to me on the phone when I called him about this and said "things change". Then he billed me an invoice for our balance due before the job was done and texted me about payment. He would take a while to respond to my messages yet rush me to respond to his. There was also poor communication during the day of the move. The movers did not respond to any of my texts regarding items being moved and ensuring that my outside furniture was moved. Also, I was originally told that the movers would arrive between 8:30 and 9am but the night before the move, the owner changed the time to 9-9:30. Because I was moving across states and was originally told they would arrive by 9am, I had to leave before the movers arrived so that I could pick up my new keys in time. This leads to the next major issue. Many items were left behind. I sent instructions to move everything in the living/dining room area as well as the patio furniture. NONE of the patio furniture was moved and with the size of the move, I didn't realize this until after I already paid the movers the mandatory gratuity fee ($150) and was later notified by my previous property owner that furniture had been left behind. Additionally, the movers arrived at 9:30 and did not bring my furniture to my new place until 5pm. Granted, the drive was 2.5 hours but I certainly wasn't expecting to receive my furniture so late, especially when all items were not packed. Overall, the price was reasonable but the service was not professional and major items that I paid to move, were left behind. Will not be using again. *update* So that offer Dan wrote below to pick up the furniture was a gimmick. I told him I was being charged weekly for the furniture left behind and he responded they "might" be able to get it in two weeks and deliver it to me in a month. I asked if it could get pick up before the 15th and he never responded. I am now being charged to have the furniture they left behind removed. Dropped a star and I would recommend paying a bit more to have your furniture moved without the hassle.
