I hired champion movers to move my 3-bedroom, two bath & garage home. I was quoted 5 hours, one…read moretruck and three men $925. It was $160 an hour if over the 5 hour quote and if the job runs over 8 hours it's time and a half. I had an inspection/estimator come to my property and take inventory of my stuff. I told him I did not have all the stuff packed in the house yet and there would be more boxes. The estimator assured me he was taking that into account, and one truck/three men would get the job in time. The movers arrived almost four hours late due to a previous job running over. This I was told the day of, and I had to call champion three different times to get time estimates of when they would arrive. The movers also told me once they arrived that they would have not of taken my move if they knew how big of a job my move would be. We proceeded anyway. (Please note: if I would have known to hire 4 men and two trucks, I would have done this. The job would have at lease been done in one day). The movers had to make two trips. The first trip truck full but packed badly, the second trip the truck was a quarter of the way full, and they still did not pack the previous house fully. I had to rush them close to the 8-hour mark due to it being so late and the time and a half payment starting at the 8-hour mark. They started the job at 3:30 pm and finished close to midnight. I have a 5-year-old child who needed to go to bed at this point. The job ended up taking almost 8 hours and they were not able to get all of my boxes upstairs. It should not have taken close to 8 hours to move my house. I have hired other movers with the same amount of stuff, and they have finished in 6 and a half hours. The champion movers had to leave all of my upstairs boxes in the garage. I had to hire other day laborers to move the 30 ish boxes from the garage to upstairs two days later. I am very unhappy with this company and spoke with them about compensating me for the day laborers that I had to hire because their movers couldn't finish in a timely manner. Champion movers denied my request. All I wanted was the $275 I paid to the day laborers due to their movers being incompetent or compensate me the extra two hours they went over and it would almost equal the $275.

Their price was in the middle of the two other companies we narrowed it down too but we decided to do Eco Movers due to our initial reaction of getting quotes and questions answered. They were very responsive and I could tell they were not trying to hit you over the head with hidden fees or additional costs like some of the other companies. Everything they quoted was a set price with no fluctuations. We booked everything a few months in advance to be proactive but Leury and his team made sure to check in with us before moving day. He came by and did a walk through of our 3 bed/2 story home to make sure he and his team had what they needed. The only thing I wasn't expecting was to pay for the blankets used for wrapping, but I take responsibility for that as Leury was not aware that our belongings would be staying in storage, and did not want to remove the blankets so our stuff wouldn't be damaged. I appreciated the thoughtfulness and had no issues paying the extra for that. The guys that arrived to pack our stuff were so nice. We had about 3 guys show up and they did their thing. They made sure to point out any of our furniture that had previous dings or cracks and took pictures for reference. They were super quick and efficient and wrapped our fragile and heavy furniture. We did the packing ourselves and only hired them to move so we appreciated them wrapping things as part of their service. After they were done we were given an estimated time of arrival for our items and as always, they stayed in communication with us along the way. They gave us daily updates of where our load was on the journey. We had someone else be there for when our load arrived and they let us know everything went smoothly! I love how thorough the whole Eco Movers team was. I always felt like my things were safe and taken care of. We also had 2 Jeeps that needed transporting and Leury and his team recommended us to their partner Mark who was equally honest and reliable. They also quoted us fixed quotes without any hidden fees, and stayed in constant communication with us. We met our driver (Enrique) across the street from our neighborhood to drop off our cars. I would note that they need space to unload some cars to put yours on, so meeting them in a more feasible location may be a thing. Thankfully we had a big lot across from our neighborhood so we just walked back after our cars were dropped off. The company used was Onway Logistics. I appreciated them providing a tracking link so you can track your cars along the way. They arrived a day before schedule and we also had someone pick the cars up for us and everything went smoothly. Overall we paid about $11.5k for the whole move. The cars were $1850 a piece and the household move came in around $7800. Again, we had quotes higher and lower than Eco Movers but felt more comfortable paying a bit more for quality service. We highly recommend Eco Movers if it's in your budget, and will keep recommending them to anyone who asks! Huge shout out to Elsa for staying in constant communication with us and being such a pleasure to work with on Leury's team. And a huge shout out to our handy movers Hunter, Jonathan, and Lee for loading our things and having fun while doing it! And Enrique for getting our vehicles there safely!
