LaSharon is absolutely unprofessional and rude! Worse customer service I've ever experienced. We asked to see if there was any prorate since the storage unit was payed in full at the end of last month. We expressed that we would do our best to get everything removed from the Storage that day. She stated there is no accommodation/prorate for storage businesses, and was rudely asking if we were taking everything out of the storage? Because we should have given a few days notice. We weren't sure if we would have everything out because it all depended on traffic if we would be able to do multiple rounds. Well we weren't able to get everything out of the unit, we went back to the office to let her know that we will come back another day to clear it out. It was late and had at least another run or two to the next storage all the way in Henderson. She closed her eyes for a long time took a deep breath and started to yell at us and speak to us like we were children. Her mannerism and tone was out of line, she said we HAD to come back the next day because she already closed my mother in law out of the unit. When we specifically said we would do our best and let her know within the hour where we stood. Just absolutely unprofessional!! Left a review with the Better Business Bureau, looked to to call "corporate" which they don't have but wrote to someone for our experience. Next day we were locked out got in because someone was coming out. No one was in the office not outside walking around like the note said on the door. Called several places and finally was let out of the gate. I don't recommend this location I don't recommend LaSharon as a manager or an employee. People like her ruin it for others via reviews/business. Please investigate this situation and take care of the bad customer service. The keypad was broken and a note said that access was only available during business hours, sucks when you work two jobs. Hoping that problem has been resolved. AVOID - they continuously increase the rental fees! Ever since they bought the place from Store-More, they jack your rent up $50 every time your lease is up. This last time they jacked my rent to $271 a month. I had enough and moved my stuff out. It's a storage shed, not a f*cking studio apartment! I had been a customer for 9 years and was never late on a payment. Each rent increase I would complain and get the same generic response accompanied by a "f*ck you" attitude It is a shame too, since it's a nice facility. First month in renting at the w. Craig rd and Decatur on February 2024 location and my unit was broken into. They told me to file a police report and submit a claim which I did. There was no empathy whatsoever. They spoke to me condescendingly and one of the employees was on the phone doing a phone interview with another job as I was asking questions on what I should do about my situation. They told me my claim for all my stolen items were to be paid off through the insurance I had through them within 6-10 weeks. It's now been over 3 months and after several phone calls and an email not one person has returned my calls. I spoke once to the district manager who told me there is nothing they can do about it after asking for the name of the insurance company that handles claims and all I get is gate keeping from contacting the insurance company. I'm a physically disabled veteran and on a fixed income and can't afford the little I have left in my unit but once I get paid I will be definitely looking into leaving this company for good. I advise everyone to stay away from this storage facility as many other tenants I've spoke to claimed they also had their units burglarized. We signed up to store our RV there for a year and prepaid. We got broken into once which we had to repair on our own because they don't cover it. Then when we decided to vacate and get our refund, we left before the end of the month Because if you go one day into the next month, they keep that whole months fee there is no proration. That being said we were paid up through the 20th of the following month and they won't refund that either so beware they have deep pockets there and there's no talking to any corporate office. DO NOT STORE HERE! Terrible facility if you are looking for a secure spot to store your belongings. Paying almost $200/month for a parking spot you would think you could have a little piece of mind that your belongings would be safe. We were shocked when we started up our RV and realized the catalytic converter had been stolen. Called the facility the next morning at 8am and were told we would get a call back from a manager as soon as possible. 3pm rolls around and still no call, so we call back only to get the answering service again. An hour later we finally get a call from a manager saying "Yeah it's been happening a lot. You store at your own risk" and "If you want us to check video you have to get a subpoena". For what??? I have rented a space with this storage for over a year now. I'm a truck driver and due to the corona virus lock down I have been on the road for the last month doing essential deliveries. Due to store closures and hours now it's hard to get meals so I've had to spend way more money on Uber eats take out and truck stop food so I called to ask if I could make my payment a week late, explained what was going on and told yes but I'll be charged a 20 dollar late fee. We bought a motorhome in August and stored it at Shield on West Craig. We were assured that the security was good, although there had been one break-in earlier in the year. The week before Christmas our motorhome, along with nine others, was vandalized. We have over $6000 in damage. We found out that there had been another break-in in September, which we had not known about, since our motorhome was out during that time. The management said they have no plans to update their security. The barbed wire along the top of the wall is only along half of the wall and there is a hole large enough for a person to get through in the wall at the back of the facility. We immediately cancelled with them and moved to a safer facility. We sent a letter to the general manager and asked for the month of December to be refunded, but there has been no response to our request. read more

Never had issues with billing, but stars knocked off because this tiny location began storing moving trucks as well. Not a big deal normally, but when you have a very corner unit that you need to access from a door to the inside hallway, and a gigantic moving truck is parked a foot away from that door... yeah that's a quick way to piss someone off. I complained to the office, they didn't care and mine continued to be blocked multiple times I visited. Even told me they don't have the keys to move them (which was a lie I found out later). Luckily I moved and have enough space at my new house so I cancelled my contract anyways but it was quite ridiculous. The first time, we had to use another door on the complete opposite side of the building. Luckily we had a rolling chair to assist in moving things since I'm pregnant and not much help. The final time we were there, the office tried asking my husband to move his truck from where it was parked so they could park one of them there while we were emptying our unit. Lol. She postponed her lunch to help me when I had trouble getting my gate code to work, going the extra mile to be helpful. My unit is easily assessable and inside where it is climate controlled. It was very hot the day I moved my belongings into storage and that cool air blowing through the hallway was a blessing. The unit was clean and dry and large enough for everything I had to store. i had been the tenant for more than 10 years with the previous owner. They were very nice and courtesy. If i left a box outside as a trash, she just picked it up and trashed it for us. They also have small trash cans for tenants. The Shield Storage took over the business. Then all things went: price went up, adding required property insurance ( even I have business property insurance to cover anything of the business), no trash cans. One day, I left a box outside, the new manager charged me $150 for cleaning up fee for one box (wtf!).
