We had our RV lithium battery and propane tank stolen off our camper. The security gate has been broken for months. She talked me through the different sizes and helped me pick the right one. She was extremely helpful with all the questions I had and I left with the perfect size. He took me to my storage showed it to me and see which one that I wanted to purchase he was a lot of help great conversation great communication skills. I will recommend others. I was in a rush to leave town, so I called and booked 2 storage units. I got there and I was extreamly surprised and happy about how understanding and helpfull the local manager Irina was. Not only was she efficient, fast and understanding, and got me out of there in less than 10 minutes !!! She was also very courteous and took my in on the golf cart to my storage and back to the gate. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could, and would highly Recommend them to any Family or Friend. Clean and well-located facility with friendly and helpful staff. They couldn't offer me the size unit I needed but they called around to try and find me one. I ended up signing-up for two side-by-side units because the size I needed was hard to find anywhere. Then, not an hour later, another storage facility called to say they just opened up the space I needed. CubeSmart refunded all my costs and I was able to take the space I needed elsewhere. read more

My husband built a new garage on our house so while doing so he moved his tools into a storage unit, he asked me to yelp his experience for him so here it is .. THE CUBE IS NOT SMART for you ..... Off the gate they were tricky with there words , try ed to avoid giving me the promotional discount I found on line , got the deal after a little word play and proof with them. The storage was clean but the lights inside are broken blame the excuses on the last person..uh ok. I took it because it was the closest to my house and the size available. BUT and Big but so much for the discount read the small words THEY RAISE THE RENT ABSOLUTELY IMMEDIATELY AND ALSO AGAIN THE FIRST TIME THEY ARE legally ALLOWED to AT A YEAR. EVERY single chance they are allowed to they RAISE the RENT ..YOUR DEAL is out the window so quick you pretty much didn't get it . They know your stuck and don't want to go threw another move and they BET on THAT and like the casino they have it figured out . The staff is always driving around so it is hit in miss if you go in to pay ..AND DON'T BE A DAY LATE ..THEY STICK IT TO YOU with a late charge that is almost a third of your rent at I was paying 150. The staff is clean and professional for the most part I usually had to do the math for them they were not good at that ..think they should get a calculator ..or use the computer in front of them ...I HAD BETTER EXPERIENCES AT THE OTHER GUYS I stayed years and my rent went up the whole time like 20 bucks... THIS PLACE WILL GET YOU SELL YOU THE GOOD DEAL BUT LOOK FOR THE RABBIT IN THE HAT IS EATS YOUR WALLET WHEN YOUR STUCK AT THE SHOW... You always stay at these places longer then you plan so LOOK FOR THE LONG term DEAL ask them or READ the small letters HOW many ways they can raise your rent and WHEN because this PLACE WILL ...I moved out and WENT to the guys a few doors down got a better long term deal . the new place even .apologized for my experience at cube smart matched cube smarts original deal and honored their price for a year..and gave me a promissory not to raise my rent the second the year is up. cube smart got me twice in the first year read more

BEWARE of this place! It is infested with black widow spiders and roaches. The staff fogged my unit before I moved everything to my new home, but I still brought live spiders and roaches into my space. This is dangerous for my small dogs and I am stressed out all the time now as I keep finding these pests. read more

I never write yelp reviews, but they deserve 0 stars. I was storing at this facility for over a year. I notified them that i was moving my belongings out December 31st. I asked the girl with no personality at the desk if there was anything I needed to do or sign. She said "nope". December 31st I moved my stuff out. 3 months later I get a call saying that the lock was off my locker and they assumed I have moved out. I reminded them that I moved out in December and had no lock on the locker. They said "you mean you haven't noticed you've been charged for the last 3 months?" I then spoke to the manager and he refused to be helpful whatsoever and refused to refund the $300 they over charged me due to their own negligence. Worst business. Do not go there. They are crooks and this isn't the first time they've pulled a quick one on someone. read more

I like Rick Russell at the Orangevale Cubesmart! He's really friendly and great. Also they have a new young guy who is learning and he's ok- just make sure if you call it's not when someone is standing at the counter. It's hard for them to focus on a phone call if there is a customer there. Call in early a.m., don't call at 5:30 PM. They do raise your rent after the introductory time- I was not aware of this and was a bit upset after 5 months getting a rate increase. This is apparently from corporate, not Rick's decision. When you sign up, be aware of the fact your rate will increase about 10% in a few months. Otherwise, it's clean, safe and in a good section of town. I like the locking gate too. I've never used a storage facility before so this has been a good choice. read more

The security gate was wide open. On my way out I stopped at the office to ask if it was broken. I opened the office door and the attendant had been asleep. I asked if he knew the gate was open and he said he was having trouble with it. Very nonchalant attitude and didn't seem to think it was any big deal. The attendants should not be sleeping on the job, and especially when ANYONE can drive in and out without him seeing the activities in the yard. I called to report it to the (844) number and they had a 'couldn't care less" attitude as well....something like "we''l report it". read more

I have been meaning to write this since April. The employees at Cubesmart are so professional and very nice to deal with. Their customer service is really good as they do follow up phone calls when you reserve a unit and they have a confidence in their voices that makes a customer feel important and makes them come across as competent. I've been at the Orangevale location since back when it was National Self Storage before Cube Smart took over. A while back ago they raised my rent 20 dollars in one shot which I thought was a lot, now I just got a notice it was going up 40 more dollars, 60 bucks in a year! Which is more then what a new customer would pay. That's how they treat someone that's been a loyal customer for over twenty years. Needless to say I'm moving out! read more

I rented a storage space at this facility for over 5 years. The folks here have always been friendly and accommodating to my needs. The location is secure and always kept clean. I've never had any problems accessing my unit. their rates are competitive. If your looking for storage space, this is my recommendation. read more
