I met Sheri and Gary who run the Orangevale location. Super friendly and super helpful. I came back today - can you believe they're working on Labor Day??? The storage hours are 7 AM till 6:59 PM (you might have seen the yelp review here where somebody got locked inside the gate. I guess you have to call the sheriff to get out!) Anyway they run a tight ship but a clean pleasant ship and I highly recommend this location! Best prices in in the area. Go check them out and tell them Cheree sent you!

Honest Experience - Saved By Sierra This month when I…read morecalled to make my payment I had an extremely frustrating interaction with the on-site manager, John, who was rude, condescending, and even hung up on me while I was trying to make a payment. Fortunately, Sierra from corporate reached out after I raised concerns. They were very kind, professional, and apologetic, and helped us mediate the issue. That effort and understanding meant a lot and helped turn the situation around. I hope the company can kind John a different role that does not require him to interact with customers.

The response I received was "Did that bother you?!" I was so shocked and taken aback. Of COURSE a group of loitering sketchy people are of concern! ANYWHERE! Hello?!?! Why wouldn't they INQUIRE as to the reason this group was "hanging out" on their property? Maybe they were friends of the office people? Regardless, the staff turning my concern onto ME spoke volumes. If you are looking for a SAFE unit for your property...and YOURSELF whilst you are attempting to "visit" your unit, "EXTRA SPACE STORAGE" on Parkshore Drive in Folsom is NOT THE PLACE! I am quickly moving my items OUT to another place that actually cares about the safety concerns of their customers. I hope the OWNERS see this review, as their on-site "management" clearly needs to be replaced. In May 2023, I received a notice that my rent was increasing to $238 per month, a 51% increase! I called the manager, David, to inquire about the increase. He said that they routinely review market rents and have the ability to reset them at any time to reflect inflation. I asked him if inflation had gone up 51% in the past 5 months and he said yes. I then went on their website and saw that they had units available for less than the $158 per month rate I was paying. After asking about switching units, David said that we could not switch to one of those units because that pricing was reserved for new customers only. He also noted that those units would almost surely see a huge price increase within just a few months of moving in. This seems like the definition of a bait and switch tactic. They lured me in with a low price, then jacked up the rent after I signed the contract. And nowhere in the contract did it say anything about us getting a promotional rate that would reset after just a few months. I decided to move out of Extra Space Storage after the price increase. The move out was a lot of work, wasted time, and headache. But we weren't going to pay $238 per month, and we also were not going to stay just based on principle. I hope others can learn from my bad experience.

If you pay a day late you will get an additional 60.00 late fee added and they lock you out of your unit until the balance is paid. I do not recommend them in any way shape or form and I am leaving and not using their business in the future. DO NOT RENT FROM PUBLIC STORAGE FOR ANY REASON THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND CHARGE A FORTUNE FOR ZERO SERVICE.

No one was around to help so he came home. Apparently if they have staff they don't require them to answer the door, so my husband went home and called, it took about 2 hours to talk to the right person who told us that there is an error they didn't have the unit we had asked for and they shouldn't have charged me $92 as advertised on line but rather $134. WHAT A BUNCH OF GRIFTERS!!!!

Here it goes... Let's start with the fact that I had called SCSS on New Years Eve at approximately 12:30 pm, and I had come to discover that the office had closed about 30 minutes prior for the holiday. They offered to stay and wait for me to show me around. I had declined, but the offer itself was very generous! I had told them I would be back that week... Later that week, we had stopped by to take a tour of the place. Very, very, very, very clean! It was like it was a brand new facility. I had known about this facility for some time and remember when it had opened what seems like a decade ago and it still looks like it had just opened. The security features of the facility are top notch for its price level! I loved how each unit has fire sprinklers... you may say "Well what if your stuff gets wet?" I would rather it get wet than get burned, at least you can still tell what it was! The facility is well laid out, and they even make sure that plastic mats are laid down in each unit to minimize moisture! That's huge! In my opinion, the most important aspect of a storage unit is the management. I have yet to meet his wife, but Sonny is on another level of service. He is so nice, super accommodating, easy to talk to, and he runs a tight ship! When we signed for the storage unit, it was raining A LOT and was gusty, yet Sonny jumped into his cart and immediately cleaned out our unit and dried it off and left towels for us so that we could dry anything we needed. He really made us feel right at home from the very beginning. I can't say enough good things about this man. I have opted to bring in a check for all of my payments rather than opting for automatic payments so that I can catch up with Sonny and the rest of his staff.

The manager Anthony busts his rear to keep the place clean, and take care of the renters. One time on a Sunday around6am, I went to see if they were open cause I needed to pick up some stuff, and there was Anthony, cleaning trash up on the site...on a Sunday, early morning. Gotta love it. Plus, if there is a problem they take care of it right away. This is just my experience, but if you ask me, this is the best experience I have had with any storage facility in many years and many different places.
