Do not rent here. Worst place, horrible management. I was twenty four days late on my payment when they sold my belongings in auction. They never once tried reaching out to me for the payment or to inform me that the unit was going to be auctioned off. Thousands of dollars worth of stuff along with priceless sentimental items are now lost. I asked if they could either reach out to the person who bought the unit or provide me the information and was told "no, you should have paid on time". I've been a customer since 2023 always paid on time with autopay, except recently I had fraud on my account so I had to have a new one opened and forgot to set it back up with cubesmart. 24 days late that's all it took. The service person in the office are very rude. They never listens your request and told you must listen to them. Called several times, no one picked up the call. Gate passcode changed without any notice. read more

We've had a unit here since June of 2022 at one point in time we had 2 units. We became homeless around this time so let me point out that everything we had in these two units was literally everything we have to our names. We ended up losing one unit as the cost of both units was killing us. About 6 months ago our unit was broken into. We received a call from a cube smart employee saying there was no lock on our unit. When we were able to get there and check it out we obviously filed a police report and claimed the tons of baseball/football cards stolen, my 3 embroidery sewing machines, pressure washer, Kirby vacuum, engine and what ever else was taken the list was long. They only covered 2000 of what was taken but that doesn't replace the sentimental shit that money can't replace. Shortly after the unit was broken into yet again, Mae thing received a cal from employee asking if we forgot to lock our unit. We were told by the grand Los Angeles county police that he couldn't take a report at the time (10pm at police station) he just advised us to move our unit. Still homeless that wasn't and isn't really an option. Fast forward to about a week ago 10/2023, received another call saying our unit didn't have a lock on it yet again. We weren't able to make it there till today, we used our code to get in the gates. We did a little bit of our own investigating, checked places that they may be coming in at. We ended up parking back out front to wait for an employee to show up as they don't have office hours listed anywhere. While sitting there patiently waiting 4 cops pull up and confront us like we're criminals put us both in separate cars and detain us. Said CUBESMART called said there was a suspicious vehicle even though we clearly used our code to enter the gate. Not to mention I drive the same car everyone I go there and have had multiple interactions with all employees. They were clearly mad that we were doing our own investigating. Clearly it's an inside job. If you value anything you own and we're gonna rent here; don't waste your time. THIS PLACE IS CROOKED, DONT RENT HERE. You do and your just as dumb as they are. Then they sent us a we're raising your rent on your unit to $500 WTF. Save yourself the heartache. This place is all bad news. Everything we owned was in that unit and we still don't know what they took this last time. As we didn't wait till 9:30 for their junk employees to Show up. I did contact the GM as I had his number from the second time our unit was broken into. read more

They lied and said cameras were working they aren't!! Security guard onsite 10p-6am why if you have working cameras right!? Some loser broke into my storage in the early morning but they don't notify me until the afternoon. Come to find out last month they had 8 break ins. Why didn't you fix your cameras then. As other reviewers had complained, no one was at the office even when I called a few days in advance to notify them I will have professional movers there to move things out the storage. When movers arrived, no one was at the office and this guy, Gerry finally showed up almost an hour later. He did not offer any apology, and I was upset more because I was paying the movers standing by. When I asked him to hurry up, he then stopped his cart and accused me for being rude and asked me to be polite if I wanted him to cooperate. I was simply flabbergasted. I can't even continue this review thinking about this. BE AWARE, besides his crooked sense of manner, they have serious security issue as many of their storages had broken in recently, which was one of the reasons I was vacating. read more

I give this a 1 star due to its customer service. This employees are never at the front office. They always have a sign up saying "Will return" on whatever time they put. I wait for them at the time they put on their return sign and one is at the office. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. The idea behind a storage facility is being able to have access to your unit 24/7. I started off paying the rent to this unit and it was $50 and little by little it went up and now it's $83 and the one time I go to my unit I was unable to get in because they put a combination lock on the outer door and when I went to call in to get the combination they were unable to provide me with the combination because they needed to verify my identity IN PERSON...well I was at the unit and they aren't on scene on Sunday's. I live over 45 minutes away and I can't just drop whatever I'm doing to show up during their store hours to verify my identity in person because I work for a living. The staff was of no help and I want to end my contract with this terrible company but I'm not sure how I'll be able to vacate the unit when I'm unable to show up in person to verify my identity and get the combination. So unless you want a storage unit you can never get access to go somewhere else. I hate that I'm wasting almost $100 a month on a tiny storage closet. This company refused to refund me for a month of storage even though I can't get into my unit. I will NEVER do business here again. read more

New customer here. Thought the monthly rates were reasonable, the location is close by, and is pretty safe (in the business complex behind Lemon Ave.). Bill called me after I made the reservation online. Was able to complete the rental agreement online also, which was super easy. I met with him the next day to check out the storage unit. He was professional, friendly, and answered our questions regarding security, payments, etc. He is getting key pads for some of the other doors leading into the storage units which I appreciate. read more

Not the right choice. Decent location and security looks legit on the surface yet they provide twisted/false information.

I recently rented an outdoor space at CubeSmart 401 S. Waterman Ave, San Bernardino, Ca 92408. Within a month I had property stolen. I reported it to the onsite manager but she seemed more consumed with sweeping the property as opposed to my property that was stolen. At any rate, I asked her how were they going to handle issues like these moving forward. She said the company will repair the damaged fenced area surrounding the property but anything that occurs after hours is out of their control. She never mentioned contacting the local law enforcement to report a break-in also to report the thief of their customers property. I'm not sure if she verbally gave me an apology regarding the incident. I feel as if she does not care about the customers, as if it happened and no big deal. I was highly disappointed in the way she handled this issue and her lack of professionalism. I will remove the remaining property I have left from their premises as soon as possible! read more
