I run in because I'm going to make a Cajun spaghetti so I need ground meat, sausage, and decided to just do a jar sauce instead of making it from scratch. Was definitely having a conversation with one of the workers who was stocking the shelves on the spaghetti aisle about making it from scratch or the jar. Well, I decided to go jar and bring everything up to the counter and had the pleasure of encountering Edra. I put my things on the counter, keeping in mind I have never been into the store before and chose to go here over Piggly Wiggly, Edra begins checking me out and looks at me and says everyone is coming in here for spaghetti today. I say oh we all must be on the same wavelength. Then she proceeds to say, "y'all are all lazy because y'all don't make your sauce from scratch." It took every being of my cell to not react to this very out of line statement. I don't care who you are, how old you are, what position you hold calling customers that are choosing to come to your store over other grocery stores that I had to pass up to get here is flat out rude. I just looked at her smiled and said I hope that you have a great day. She did not bother to hand me the receipt or the bags I had to walk around the counter, grab the bags and the receipt and I walked out. Needless to say, I will not be shopping there anymore and will happily choose Piggly Wiggly any day. I don't know if it's store policy or local ordinance. We opted not to spend any money here and won't support that sort of decision. There are plenty of other businesses that we can patronize. Extremely Frustrating Experience with Curbside Pickup…read more I placed a curbside order with Super 1 Foods and received the usual confirmation email with detailed instructions--so far, so good. I followed everything to the letter: arrived at the store, parked in the designated spot, texted the number provided... and then I waited. And waited. And waited some more. Tried calling the store? Rings twice, then hangs up. Called the curbside number? Straight to voicemail. Left a message--no call back. It felt like I was trying to contact a ghost town. Eventually, after wasting a big chunk of my day, I finally got through to someone at the store who casually informed me their system was down and they would not be fulfilling my order. No apology. No notification ahead of time. Just a shoulder shrug and "too bad." Look, I get that systems crash--but not notifying customers and then going radio silent? That's just poor customer service. If your curbside system is down, say something. Don't leave people hanging in the parking lot like they're in a bad breakup. Super 1, you've got to do better. At minimum, send out a cancellation or alert when orders can't be fulfilled. Communication is key--and right now, you're ghosting your own customers.
