Amazing experience! Came here to celebrate for my friends birthday dinner last night. The food AND the service was exceptional. They truly made our night and celebration so special, starting from the second we walked in and got a round from the bar while we waited for some more of our friends/family to arrive. Very elegant and clean bar and dining area. Chef Luis came out right away to say hello to the party and continued to show face along with the manager, Henry at several tables. I had the spicy Al vodka, the perfect amount of spice. Noodles were perfect. One note... that burrata appetizer is the best thing ever. I could not stop eating more! Nice looking restaurant located inside the Conrad Hotel. But the food? Meh. Very average and not worth the exorbitant pricing. We ordered Veal Parmigiana for 2, charged $92 for something that was slightly rubbery. This was a special, so the obnoxious price was not advertised on the menu. A meatball appetizer ($18) was okay, but an obnoxious charge of $4 for ricotta cheese (that the server forgot to bring out). The broccolini was not cooked, and a bit too raw to eat. Don't get us started on the dessert we should've never ordered and couldn't even eat (it was spoiled). The Chef should be embarrassed to release this low quality food from his kitchen. Skip this overpriced ragu pasta sauce level eatery for much better options in the area. Very disappointing experience. read more

It has now been our second visit to Vitolo and we enjoy the date night experience both times. Vitolo sits inside the first floor of the Conrad hotel . Inside is very dim it and a little loud but very sexy and elegant ambience. I would say that it is closer to fine dining. Here we always order the chicken Parm, which is HUGE and shareable, as well as some alla vodka pasta. DAISY, our server really made this experience for us! She was so friendly and bubbly, giving great recommendations at having some real genuine human conversation. I enjoyed this small chitchats when she came to visit our table. For this particular occasion, we were dining in for a small birthday celebration a party of two - at the end we received a complementary tiramisu dessert. Really enjoyed our lunch at Vitolo. The restaurant is located in the Conrad. It is very nice, with a beautiful bar, but I thought it was a little dark. Our server was very kind and checked on us frequently and made sure to give us Parmesan and red pepper flakes with our meal which was nice. We got the vongole appetizer which was good, almost like a clam Rockefeller with the breadcrumbs. My husband got the veal and I got the lobster tail pasta. I loved that they removed the lobster tail from the shell and the spiciness was excellent. This was our first stop for food in Fort Lauderdale and what a way to start off our vacation. The restaurant is located within the Conrad Fort Lauderdale. More of an upscale location, as I'm sure you can tell from the price. We came for dinner, the ambiance was very lovely and romantic. We ordered the chicken parm as well as the pasta in spicy vodka sauce. We also got the buttered pasta from the kids menu. We ordered that first and it came out super fast. Definitely a plus in my book. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating for us and our family. Now for the food, I don't mince words when I say this was probably the best chicken Parm I've ever had. Nothing about it was lacking. The chicken was deliciously crispy, had the perfect mount of sauce. Not too much, not too little and just the right amount of cheese. If you order it, I highly recommend getting it with the pasta in vodka sauce. Phenomenal flavor, very tasty. Again, nothing to complain about. Our toddler also gobbled up the buttered pasta. Woah! The food is unbelievable. I don't even eat seafood and that seafood pasta dish was out of this world. Best eggplant parm, that red sauce was truly great. The cheesecake is from Ferrara's in NYC and was the best cheesecake I've ever had. I loved the style of the entire restaurant; clean sleek New York City vibes right in Fort Lauderdale. The accent blue map wall at the bar was gorgeous and really set the tone. The entire staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and beyond welcoming. The bartender Shane made a great skinny margarita which I kept ordering all throughout Fort Lauderdale and no one could get it right. Shane's were great and I have to say that espresso martini shot really hit the spot. The general manager, Henry, was kind, caring and attentive, not only to me but to all of the customers. My 900th Yelp review! Do I get a badge!? Three of us went to Vitolo for Rick L's birthday. It's only a block from his home and inside the Conrad Hotel. One dining area is an outside strip of tables along the street. Inside has a casual area with a view of the open kitchen. We sat in the main, more formal dining room with a bar at one end. The ambiance is modern and classy like the Conrad itself. A singer wearing an evening dress sang contemporary jazz as she walked among the tables. We were glad we dressed more than Florida beach t-shirts, shorts and flip flops. It happened to be Martini Monday night so Rick and tried their special Perfect Pear martini. They were so amazing we had two! Burrata antipasti was delicious with San Daniele prosciutto. We polished that off. Ditto the Calamari Fritti. Rick and I had Linguini alle Vongole which was perfect al dente. The clams and broth tasty. The Queen Margherita pizza was also worth trying. Rick says 5 stars and I concur. It is expensive Italian but the ambiance is nice and service excellent. Too bad Rick told us not to tell the singer it was his birthday. He missed out on a sultry HB rendition LOL. read more

I went for one of the last nights of Dine Out Lauderdale to experience their tasting menu. I was excited to get to taste a little bit of everything, appetizers, pasta, chicken parm and dessert. Starting with the meatball appetizer, polpette. It was a good sized meatball even for the tasting menu, in a very tasty sauce. The bolognese was next. It was more of a creamy sauce, but it was yummy. The chicken parm was a great portion, said to be 1/3 of the size of the normal portion, which must be ginormous. It was delicious. My favorite part of the meal was the tiramisu. It was soo good. It was a great way to experience getting a taste of this restaurant. From the ease of getting a reservation, to the attentive service, nice ambiance with live music, it's definitely worth a try. I have no idea how they have such high reviews. Service was abysmal. We stared at empty plates far longer than we had food on the table. The food, when it finally came out, was all just okay. Eggplant rollatini was too sour and the portion was tiny. Bolognese was very salty. And definitely avoid the veal. It's huge (for 2, but more like 4), and was the toughest, saltiest veal I've ever had. My husband liked it, but I did not. Took an order of lobster ravioli to go for my daughter. Vitolo is quickly becoming my absolute favorite Italian restaurant in Broward County. I feel like it is so underrated and still somewhat of a hidden gem. Let's start by saying their drink menu is fabulous! For cocktails and mocktails! I was pregnant the first few times I visited and they have mocktail options, but the bartender will also try to make you anything you request. Service has always been very attentive every time I've been. I will say though to definitely request the main dining area. I prefer that seating better. When they put the bread down, already ask for more! The bread is top tier. They definitely don't give you enough! My mom loved the bread so much we bought two loaves to take home! For apps, I highly recommend the Ceasar salad (good for one), the burrata is probably the best I've ever had besides the ones I've had in Italy (good enough to share), the octopus, and the zucchini frites (they're so fun and yummy!). For entrees you can't not get the chicken parm! It's definitely the star of the show here and big enough to share for four people of you get some pasta too. For pasta, my absolute favorite is the pomodoro. It's so fresh and the pasta is always cooked perfectly. Ask for a side of their truffle ricotta. I literally dream about it. You also can't go wrong with the bolognese or the spicy rigatoni. I will say though the spicy rigatoni is small compared to all of the other dishes so if you are getting it, order an app as well. I've only had dessert once there and we had the special which was som sort of chocolate Nutella cake. All I can say is WOW! It was fantastic. Since it was my mom's birthday, they also brought out a tiramisu. I am not a tiramisu fan whatsoever, but I will say though the tiramisu was absolutely delicious and I kept going back for more. Speaking of going back for more, I can't wait to go back to Vitolo. Hoping too many people still don't know about Vitolo as I want to always be able to get a last minute reservation. Came here for a special occasion and frankly, none of us were impressed. First, the location is fine. BUT the acoustics in the dining area are absolutely terrible. And I mean terrible. We could barely have a conversation with others at our table as it was so loud. We came on the weekend and it was busy so if you decide to go, maybe a weekday will be better. Second, the service. Servers were nice enough (when they came around) but you had to hail them down for everything. More water, salt & pepper, dropped utensil, asking about dessert, the final bill. All of these we had to request after waiting quite abit of time. Third, the food. No one can mess up pasta, Can they? Everyone who had a pasta dish complained of them not being cooked enough. This is a family of Italians and Sicilians that know pasta and this place failed. Clams app were undercooked. Meat dishes all were overly salty. Given these 3 main items, we wanted out quickly and didn't chose to have dessert. We didn't get the hype. I always have much higher expectations when a restaurant charges $$$ for their items. But Vitolo failed. There are SOOOOOO MANY GREAT Italian restaurants in the area. We won't be back. read more

I find it hard to believe this doesn't have more reviews. This restaurant is located in the bottom of the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel. It's dimly lit, very romantic and perfect for a date night. I love the lights they have on the tables. I would like to find those somewhere. The service was excellent. All the servers were very well trained and very professional and knew the menu well. They started us with some fresh baked bread with olive oil with oregano in it. The bread was soft and delicious. Can't wait to try the oregano in the olive oil. At home because It was unexpectedly tasty. As a starter drink, my BIL ordered a Borgogno Riesling. And kept saying something (That I can't post here) of how wonderful it was on his tongue. It cost $115 a bottle. I'm not a wine drinker but I liked it too. We also ordered the charcuterie board. I will post a picture. It was excellent and plenty for three people. I really liked how they put it on a board that looks like a slice out of a tree. I must say it was a very nice touch. My husband and I split the fish of the day. Which happened to be snapper piccata. It was the biggest piece of fish that I've seen in a while and just absolutely delicious. I asked for extra piccata sauce and they brought it over with capers in it. It also came with asparagus, (which we ate some of before I took the picture. Sorry about that.) It was just so yummy. I wanted to go back there and have it again but we didn't have enough time. I will definitely go there the next time I'm in Fort Lauderdale. I'm still dreaming about that fish. The last thing we got was the Panna cotta with berry compote on top. Oh my goodness this was to die for as well. I am so sad that this restaurant is so far from my home on the West Coast. First time trying this restaurant in the Conrad, and it was terrific. From the hostess to Henry, the manager and our server, everyone was friendly and helpful. The room is beautiful and was surprisingly busy for a summer weeknight. The food was terrific. We shared a number of appetizers, including delicious eggplant rolatini, grilled octopus, and burrata. The seafood pasta was delicious and the chicken Milanese shareable. Three of us shared a top notch tiramisu. Vitalo..... One of the Best Dining Experiences in South Florida Vitalo easily ranks as one of the best dining experiences I've had in the Fort Lauderdale area. From the moment you sit down, everything just clicks the food, the service, the atmosphere it's all top-notch. What really stood out was the attention to detail. Chef Anthony personally came out to check on the table, which always adds a great touch and shows how much pride goes into what they're doing here. The food was outstanding across the board. The Bolognese was unbelievable rich, perfectly balanced, and exactly what you want from a dish like that. The pizza had a great crust, crispy on the bottom with just the right texture. The antipasto was a home run, and the drinks were just as impressive well made and consistent. This is one of those places where everything is done right, and you can tell it's not by accident. The gluten free gnocchi is outstanding - I got it with the pomodoro sauce. The burrata is delicious and elegantly oozy. The mushroom side was pretty standard, they came sliced but I was expecting whole. My sister said the pumpkin ravioli was also standardly good. Our table got two dover soles (pesce del giorno), one prepared gluten free. The default one was lightly pan fried with bread crumbs, served with capers, carrots and a lemon sauce - it was rated positively. The gluten free one was baked, served with cherry tomatoes, and pretty good as well. It's fall 2024 and they are trialing a new gluten free (cauliflower) pizza as a permanent menu item. My party gave the green light! We got the tagliatelle bolognese to go for a stay-homer. He said it was "just alright" and the portion could've been bigger. The online menu I'd checked out ahead of time was out of date. The room was quite noisy, but maybe expected for a Friday night. First, our waiter's name is Alejandro, his attention to detail and care was excellent. He was kind and on top of the whole process, along with his team members who all made sure we were well taken care of. Many thanks to everyone there. 1st course was Burrata with roasted red peppers, prosciutto, balsamic reduction & fresh basil. Probably the best burrata I've ever tasted. So fresh. 2nd course was the Snapper Al Forno. Delicious fresh snapper on blistered baby tomatoes with a garlic shallot white wine sauce. It was a very balanced and deep oh so wonderful taste. 3rd course was the Vitello Antonio which is a center cut panko crust veal chop, pounded thin, with sweet peas, crispy prosciutto, marinara cream sauce & fresh mozzarella. Oh my. This was so very good. With that we had the chef's mix of mushrooms sautéed with shallots, pancetta & sweet peas. So delicious! There is no food photo because it's all gone. I had looked forward to dining at Vitolo. However, I ended up unimpressed. The first thing that got to me was no valet. Then at the main southeast corner are stairs with no handicapped ramp. The handicapped ramp is located way east about mid-center of the Conrad. If you're on a walker, it's tough. They have a delightful outside patio bar. The bartenders are professional, polite, and pour a good drink. Dining may either be had in the kitchen area or in the dining room. The kitchen was too loud for me, so I went to the main dining room. The dining room has a luxurious décor entirely eye-pleasing. The menu is rather sparse and explained to me as family style where the dishes are small but you order several of them and share at your table. They kind of make it sound like an Italian tapas. Partner and I started by sharing their Ceasar salad which we could not get with anchovies as they had already made them a part of their house Ceasar dressing. I then went for their Lobster Ravioli which was lobster-filled ravioli served over lobster cream sauce & shrimp. Though it was good, the flavors weren't very distinctive. The portion didn't seem enough for their family style concept but was just right for me. My partner had a fish dish which was fine for him but hardly seemed like a shareable in size. Have been meaning to try Vitolo for the past few months, and I was reminded of this when I saw Chef Anthony Vitolo on the TODAY show the other morning. Darn that food looked good so I made a reservation and off we went! Located inside the Conrad Hilton down at the beach, Vitolo is a beautiful restaurant! The main dining room is under these wooden arches which reminded me of restaurants in Europe. We were seated in a more intimate setting which they called "The Library"- lower lighting, quieter, the perfect place for a perfect evening out. Jada, our server, was knowledgeable and had plenty of suggestions for both drinks and food. There was also another server who was working the room, but not our table, who was also helpful, telling us about a truffle special they had and re welcoming us to the restaurant. I wish I had gotten his name as I also saw him a couple of days later at the bar and he said hi, like he remembered me but that seems impossible given how many people these servers see each day. Anyway- it was nice. My dirty martini was perfectly poured in an ice cold glass as was my friend's old fashioned. He loved the one giant ice cube and said it was great! The wine selection is also quite good with excelent options by the glass as well, We always like to try a range of the menu for any new place we go and Vitolo was no exception. We started with the calamari appetizer as well as the baked clams. I LOVED the clams- they were like little decadent bites of oyster and buttery crumbled topping. Delicious! The octopus was good- but not my favorite but only for a personal preference as the mustard dressing was a little strong for me. But when cut up and mixed with the arugula and endive, it was very tasty. For our entrees, I had the lamb chops and my friend had the pork chop. I knew when the nearby server said it was his fav item on the menu that the pork chop was going to be the winner of the night and it was. So flavorful and juicy it was served with peppers and crispy potatoes and was just amazing! My lamb chops, were very good and perfectly cooked to med rare but they still were overshadowed by the pork. I know what I'll be getting the next time I go! We also had the pasta special which was penne with almost a vodka sauce on it (marinara and cream) with sausage and peas. We used this as a side dish but I was thrilled when there was enough left over to take home for another day. If you drive- get your valet ticket validated as parking is only $15 then. Also- ladies- bring a sweater if you get cold. It was cold in the restaurant and I was glad I had a sweater. Or if you want to warm up more- the outdoor bar is also a great place for a night cap. Ate here for happy hour while staying at the Conrad. The happy hour is only in the bar area to the left as walking in and is from 4-7. The happy hour menu has lots of items to introduce you to the menu, but you can still order off the lunch or dinner menu as well. Main highlight was the massive mozzarella cheese. What a fabulous, sexy, refined restaurant. It is not pretentious, just honest-to-goodness great. I've eaten at their sister restaurant, Emilio's Ballato, in NYC plenty of times and enjoyed my meals there, but somehow, Vitolo just does it for me. I love it! Located in the Conrad Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, we entered through the wrong door near the kitchen, but once we found our way, we were wowed by a beautiful space of nooks and crannies for their dining spaces. We loved our table in a little library. The crowd was well-dressed and youthful. Every person who waited on us was on their game. Standout dishes were the garlicky, toasted baked clams, classic Caesar salad, Spedieni (Italian grilled cheese, essentially), spaghetti with huge, crunchy shrimp, and their insanely crispy chicken parmesan. Yes, these dishes don't sound inventive, but who cares? They were spot-on fantastic. Their red sauce pops with bright tomato flavors, and you just know the chefs spent time perfecting it so it is just right. And it is. We finished with a piping hot, made-to-order chocolate-filled donut and homemade silky gelato. The espresso was full-bodied, not the watery, overpriced stuff you get these days. Service was terrible for the price point here. Sat for over 2 hours before even ordering dessert. 30 minutes in between courses for the "dine out ft laud" menu. And after hearing wonderful reviews about the food, most things didn't blow me away. Didn't love the baked clams, they were low on flavor and tasted like the sea, Caesar was good, vodka pasta and lobster ravioli were great, chicken parm was good, tiramisu was alright,the lemon chicken was gamey tasting, I wouldn't have been able to eat it if I ordered it myself, I think this spot can do better overall. I recently finally made it to Vitolo for the first time, located inside the Conrad Hotel on Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. The entire experience was top-notch from start to finish. 3 of us ordered a few appetizers and a couple entrees and shared it all, which included: * Burrata with roasted peppers and prosciutto (probably the best burrata I've ever had). * Beef and pork meatballs with pomodoro sauce (meatballs were amazing, but a little bit on the smaller side and only two of them for the $18 price tag). * Fried calamari with sweet and spicy peppers (perfectly crispy but not overcooked). * Chicken Parm (star of the show and a monstrous portion- there were leftovers). * Spicy Accheri Alla Vodka - Homemade paccheri pasta served with spicy vodka sauce. Excellent texture and flavor. I added some tiger shrimp to enhance the dish. We were too full for dessert, especially since we had a cocktail each plus shared a bottle of wine. Service was impeccable, ambiance was very nice, and the total bill was a pretty reasonable $307 before tip (all things considered, factoring in what high-end places cost these days). Fantastic italian restaurant in the heart of Fort lauderdale. Came with a group of 12 and had the pre-set menu, which was delicious and had plenty of food. Some of our favorites were the meatballs, marg pizza, chicken parm, and bolognese. The desserts were also delicious, and they had a great wine menu. Service was terrific, and everyone was super knowledgeable of the menu and helpful. read more
