Hands down, one of the worst restaurant meals I've ever had. The food was genuinely bad, the service was inattentive, the dining room felt dated and disorganized, and the prices were completely disconnected from the experience. We visited on a Tuesday around 6 p.m. with a party of four for a birthday. The restaurant wasn't busy, so there really wasn't an obvious reason for what followed. The meal started with bread that was lukewarm, hard, and forgettable, served with oil and what looked like dried minced garlic. Someone in our party tried to order a beer, and the server said they only had two or three of the dozen or so beers listed. Things only got worse from there. I ordered a French 75 and eventually received...something. It arrived after the appetizers, in the wrong glass, over ice, with no champagne and no detectable gin. It tasted like sparkling lemonade. I politely asked for it to be remade and even offered to speak with the bartender if it would help. The replacement never arrived. The calamari came out on sloppy-looking plates, and one order was pale while the other was dark enough to suggest it had been fried in old oil. Neither was particularly hot, and the breading barely stayed attached. The entrees looked just as uninspired as they tasted. The linguini with clam sauce was gray and soupy. The fish came with vegetables that were cooked to death. My eggplant parmesan was buried in bland marinara, and the gnocchi was room temperature, rubbery, and completely flavorless. The marinara itself tasted like watered-down canned tomatoes that had forgotten salt existed. Service was just as disappointing. Water glasses sat empty for most of the meal, our server was nearly impossible to flag down, no one checked on the remade cocktail, and by the time we finally got someone's attention, it was only because the host happened to notice us trying to get the check. We would have considered dessert, but the server disappeared long enough that we gave up. To top it off, the incorrect cocktail was still on the bill, bringing the total to around $250. One final observation: I watched the host reset tables by placing glasses, linens, menus, salt and pepper shakers, and table tents directly on chair seats. They also carried clean drinking glasses by inserting their fingers inside them. The open kitchen visible from the dining room didn't inspire much confidence, either. I've had better meals at chain restaurants for a fraction of the price. For roughly $250, this wasn't just disappointing--it was astonishingly poor. Nothing about this is authentic italian. Nothing about it is worth the price tag. Nothing about it was redeemable. read more

Finally had a chance to try Cucina Toscana and we came away very satisfied. Small restaurant in a small strip mall. Parking was a little tight on this very busy Saturday night. The inside was cramped with tables positioned tight to each other. The food was very good. We ordered their fried calamari for a starter ap. It was a smallish portion but light, tender, and tasty with their Marinara on the side. Entrees took a while as they were quite busy with the dining rooms full and an hour wait for walk ins. I had their veal saltimbocca. It was fresh, tender, and flavorful. My wife had her go to shrimp scampi and said it was also very good. Others in the party were equally happy with their dinners although my daughter thought the veal in her veal marsala was just slightly on the tough side. Service was excellent. We will go back as my wife and I am anxious to try their parmigianas, for me the veal, and for her the eggplant. read more

Ed and his son, Mike have dinner Saturdays weekly. Although it seems small there is a room in the back for additional seating. Our waitress, Kristin was very nice and attentive. She took our drink orders and brought us bread and oil to enjoy while we were chatting. Dinners included Haddock Francese, Eggplant/chicken parmigiana, veal piccata. The sauces were so good, authentic Italian. A very good wine list. Dessert included tiramisu in a martini glass and spumoni. Both delicious. The conversation, company, and dinner were amazing. Took a friend to dinner to celebrate her birthday here. I had been eyeing the veal cucina toscana for years and finally gave in, OMG don't know why I waited so long! The veal was cooked perfectly and the sherry sauce was light and delicious. Now I'm hooked, never going back to chicken parm again, just kidding. This review is about the service not the food. We were a party of 8 that called 5 mins ahead to see if there was a wait. Was told there was not wait. When we got there, we were fine that there was now wait. However, the hostess was hostile and completely rude. Fine, maybe she was having a bad night. However, the food runner the petite girl black long black hair was completely out of line. When she approached me while I was waiting outside across the door of the male restroom (private restroom) for minor son to come out. She not only embarrassed and belittled me by telling me repeatedly this restroom is for men only. She then asked me to move and use the ladies room. We are all feeling the crunch on our finances after covid..... Cocina has recently decided that they no longer give free refills on their soda. So, a refill will cost you 3.00!!!!! Talk about highway robbery. How much does a fountain soda actually cost?? To actually charge 3.00 for an initial soda is a crime let alone 3.00 more for a refill. For me the little things matter. This is unacceptable. Might just be enough to keep me from going back! I also spoke with a few friends and we all agreed that that speaks of nothing less than greed. The food was good. We had chicken parm with penne pasta. 19.00 for chicken parm is a little pricey but overall it was not too bad. It was a little thin for my liking. First, I would like to start off by saying the food here is amazing. Unfortunately, I was so engrossed by the food that I forgot to take pictures, but it was all very delicious. We spent on average about $60pp for three courses. They start you off with a basket of warm bread and a very delicious olive oil and garlic dish. My favorite dishes we ordered were probably the appetizers which was a mussels dish with scampi sauce and a fried calamari. The waitress was really nice and they do not rush you to eat here. Wow!!!! This place is fantastic! Make sure to make reservations, you will need them. We were lucky we came at just the right time to find two seats at the bar. The restaurant is divided into lots of small rooms so wherever you sit you have a cozy atmosphere of a small restaurant. The bar staff was friendly and welcoming and had great suggestions. They are charming and engaging. The bread is served with garlic infused oil, absolutely magnificent. My husband had the spaghetti carbonara. It was made exactly how it is supposed to be: raw egg and no cream. I started with the Minestrone, it was light and flavorful with big chunks vegetables. I had the Antipasto Alla Toscana for my meal. Excellent cheese and flavorful marinaded veggies. A special shout out for the marinaded mushrooms; I could have eaten an entire plateful. For dessert we had the tiramisu and the Affogato. Such a simple dessert, but it was made with fresh well made espresso and was worth every calorie read more
