Pastamore is an excellent place to dine. The staff is very friendly and I feel very welcome there. Their standard menu is very good and the specials are excellent. We made a reservation last week for our Anniversary. We had a lovely experience with our server Julie. She was amazing & her attention to detail was spot on. She is a team player. It shows how much she loves working there. Our food was prepared perfectly and the ambiance was great! She made a very special evening from the beginning til the end. I went in with my wife for lunch and we thought the food that we ordered was good, but the portions were small for the money that I spent. I got garlic bread as a side order and it was not too good. I got a Bud Lite draft and it was $8.99. The whole order came to $72 and that was just the food. Add in tip and it was not a cheap lunch. I won't be going out too much at these prices. read more

My friends and I weren't sure what to expect when the restaurant changed names, but I'm happy to say we're lifelong fans now. We each ordered different meals, and all of them were winners. We ordered the 4-cheese gnocchi, seafood risotto, chicken special dish, mussels, and we also got dessert. The portions are hefty but manageable, and everything tasted phenomenal. Our server was lovely, and everything came out quickly. The building itself is very odd, but in a way that I adore. It's deceptively small on the outside, but seats quite a few within it, and while the layout is odd, it adds to the charm, at least for me. Went for dinner tonight. Our wait staff was Julie. We were promptly seated and ordered a drink. Our meal was good but Julie never came over to see how our meal was or if we wanted another drink. I wanted another glass of wine. We noticed that the staff did a lot of talking with patrons therefore not paying attention to their customers. We asked Julie for the check which she gave us. She never brought us back our bill and credit. I went up to desk and she said sorry I "forgot". This service has happened the last two visits so I'm afraid we're done with this place. read more

We went on a Saturday evening at 5:15 pm. First thing that went wrong was we had no clue where the entrance was and guessed wrong. We ended up in the office buildings parking lot behind them and decided to just walk over. When we get inside we immediately see that only 5 small tables were taken and the rest were available. We were greeted with a "did you make a reservation?" Not a hello. We said we did not and she told us to hold on while she looked at her tablet for more than 5 minutes. She told us to wait while she was over and spoke to what I would assume was a manager. While 4 employees gathered around the tablet we were told that they could clear out some people and clean a table for us, after waiting nearly 15 minutes, we declined. She very loudly said I don't see what their problem is. At this point my son and I walked out while my husband told them that we no longer wanted to eat there. Unfortunately they lost our business. No where did they say that they require a reservation but they made us feel like garbage for not having a reservation. read more

I wish I tried this place sooner, first time was last Saturday, we got takeout, food was perfect. Then we decided to go back tonight to take our 3 granddaughters out for dinner. The service was amazing, from the time we arrived to the time we left. The bread was delicious, the food was accurate and fresh and delicious. New favorite place. Service was wonderful. Server frequently checked on us & offered suggestions. Food just ok, nothing special: chicken piccata, lasagna, pesto noodles. Real downfall were the mussels. Only fair on flavor but more importantly 1/3 did not open due to being "dead". Questioned server about either getting additional mussels or adjusting the price. She said the kitchen did not do adjustments for "4 unopened". Actually there were 7, about 1/3 of our order but that didn't make any difference. read more

My wife and I are new to the area. We were driving by one night and saw Pastamore and agreed to add it to our list. Fast forward a month later, and we decided to give it a shot... 1. It's in a dark area at night, and we couldn't tell where the entrance was, so we guessed and guessed wrong. We ended up in an office park, but we parked there anyway and walked over to the restaurant. 2. We went up to the host stand and waited there for 5 minutes or more, while 7 employees walked by us multiple times and never said a word to us. One girl even stopped at the stand 3 times and never even looked at us. So, my wife decided to go up to some other area (a bar I think) and she asked someone who looked like she was in charge, and that woman said someone would be with us soon. Worth noting, she never apologized. Eventually someone came over and told us the wait would be 20 minutes. Well, we already waited nearly 10 mins by now, so plus 20, and assuming it might even be longer than that, we decided to leave. Imagine, if just one employee said, sorry we'll be right with you, we'd have stayed, eaten, and perhaps enjoyed our meal enough to come back again and again. Just the lack of one "be right with you" cost them a good deal of business (we eat out a lot). Oh well. By the way, we never did figure out where the lot entrance was located. read more

Started with lightly fried calamari with red sauce nicely done. A good wine selection, and good service. It was a smaller restaurant with average noise levels. Food above average. This is a great little Italian restaurant a little out of the way in Amherst. Ambience is nice, with a few tables (maybe 15-20?). Servers were excellent, nice, and prompt, without being overly overbearing. Food was delicious. My partner ordered the chicken cacciatore with linguine, I had the chicken piccata (lemon). I love when the music matches the style of a restaurant. Here it was just rock music. Still nothing major. Our server was very familiar with the menu and offered suggestions and answered questions for us. He was very friendly and made sure our experience was great. He brought out bread and an amazing dipping sauce to snack on while we waited. Not going to lie, we ate three baskets of bread! It was really good! I ordered the tortellini with cheese, husband ordered lasagna, and our daughter ordered linguine with a white wine, olive oil, garlic, and pepper sauce. Went to this place on Friday night. Staff is very nice. Our waitress was also very nice - we gave her a great tip. Now, the food: my wife and I wound ordering the same thing: chicken parm with pappardelle. The chicken was pounded to about 1/4 inch in thickness - I doubt we got more than 3 oz of chicken. the pasta was not prepared well: under cooked and really had no flavor. Now the best part: the drinks. We each had 2 drinks. Tito's and soda/tanguray and tonic. The Tito's was $16 per and the gin was $14 per. So one oz of liquor and some tonic is a $16 drink? Since a Handle of Tito's cost about $25 and there are 59.2 oz of vodka in a handle - take 59 times $16 and you get $944 for the same amount of liquor that you pay $25 for. Ever since COVID we have all been getting f'd every time we go out to eat. I keep hearing about how hard it is for restaurants to keep going. Here's a thought: increase your quality, increase your portion sizes and stop gouging on liquor. If you fail: you deserve it. Never going back. read more

Went in right before Christmas for a lunch with friends. I had been here before and the food was good. Some dishes are great and some, not so much. One person in the groups loves to eat here, so we go. We got some apps to start, which were very good. Presented well and all tasted good. For dinner, I tried the Maiale Milanese with angel hair pasta. I usually get the chicken picatta, but it just isn't very lemony or seasoned enough for me. It came out looking great, 2 big pieces and looks nice & crunchy, but it just wasn't good. The pork was pounded to smithereens, the cutlet wasn't seasoned in any way, and was way over cooked. The pasta sauce was so bland and there wasn't enough to coat all the pasta on the plate. I ended up bringing most of my meal home, but never finished eating it. Very disappointing. :( read more

I drive by this restaurant everyday and finally stopped to try it. I have heard mixed reviews, but I wanted to check it out for myself. The inside is small, not a lot of seating so if you have more than 4 I would recommend reservations. The wait staff was friendly, but they were busy so we did not see our waitress a lot. I had one of the best lemon drop martini's I have ever had. For dinner I had eggplant parmigiana with homemade noodles. It's was flavorful with just the right about of sauce and cheese. My husband had Veal Marsala and also agreed it was flavorful. My daughter had a Caesar salad and cheesy garlic bread. I tried a bite of the bread and it was so good. It is expensive, it was around $75 for the three of us. This is a great place to go if you are celebrating something or want a special night out. read more
