Chicken Dinner for Party of 5 A small group of us have been trying to have dinner here for sometime now... well, we finally made it tonight... third time's a charm. We were the only dine-in guests at the time so it was pleasant and we could be as loud as we want as we sometimes tend to get when we haven't seen each other in a while. It's always fun catching up with friends. I originally ordered the Chicken Platter... it was pretty good until the spice started to kick in. I don't do too well with spicy foods no matter how mild it is. On the other hand my hubby ordered the Chicken Popcorn with Fries... non-spicy at all. I can handle that so we switched and we both had a good dinner. The popcorn chicken are boneless, skinless chicken breasts and was a little larger than bite-size and they were crispy, crunchy and flavorful. Served with dipping sauce and fries. I would order this next time! Lots of seating inside. This is a counter-service establishment. Yum. I was going to another place nearby but looked at this place's reviews. There were a lot a great reviews so changed my mind and went here. I went with the skewered chicken with naan. I checked out the menu and already aimed for 3 Zinger sandos as I peeped them out on a Yelp menu at home or an app. Told him I wanted to save them bucks and not order from tha app and drove 5-6 miles out. Open late until 10PM. Tried the Zinger (mild spice level) and the Chicken Grill Cheese Burger (mild) to go, took about 10-15 minutes for the order to be ready. The Zinger Burger is described as crispy chicken, jalapeno, cabbage and comes with fries and a drink (soda can, Coke, Sprite or Pepsi) for $10.99. The Chicken Grill Cheese Burger is described as having grilled onion, grilled tomato, and mushrooms for $9.99 with drink. The Zinger sauce still had a kick to it even though it was mild, also had pickles as is standard for fried chicken sandwiches these days. Definitely my favorite of the two burgers orders. I'm ok with the shoestring fries. Upon first bite of the Chicken Grill Cheese Burger, I got raw onions when I was expecting grilled. There was no tomato or mushrooms, although there was lettuce and pickle and similar sauce to the Zinger. The grilled chicken itself was juicy and flavorful but I will say it got a little messy to eat with the all the sauce. This I wasn't expecting to come with fries as described in the menu, but this order did have them, go figure. I will give it another chance and maybe try the shwarma, gyro or rice plates when I'm feeling like Mediterranean or Indian/Pakistani cuisine. Not sure if I would try the tacos though. read more

Cuckoo's Grill has a pretty sample menu. Fifteen items for your choices included fries and soda. They have Middle Eastern dishes, Burgers, and Tacos. I guess you should be able to get something you like. I'm there on a weekday evening with four more friends. We were the only customers there for dine-in. They have some to-go orders and some DoorDash delivery too. I ordered the Chicken Biryani. This is one of my favorite dishes I have usually ordered from Indian restaurants. They have all our orders ready in less than 15 minutes. Very good if I'm looking for a quick meal in the future. The Chicken Biryani is not excellent. But it's not bad. It is a little spicier than what I have from the other restaurants. But it is okay for me. They have put a marinaded chicken leg on top of the rice. The chicken is pretty yummy and tender. The restaurant is in an older neighborhood. The shopping center is due to the maintenance. I did see some homeless in the parking lot. Anyway , I can not pin point what dish they provide ethnically but by looking at the menu, it's Greek / Mediterranean/ Arabic / Indian and American food. I'm just guessing. We came in on a rainy day just to escape the weather. We had come to this location before, weren't impressed. We saw now that they are under new management so have them another chance. I ordered a zinger burger and my husband ordered lamb karai. They warned us that it would be awhile as they would be making it from scratch. While waiting they served us tea and were very kind. My husband swears that it was worth the wait. It was awesome according to him. My zinger burger was also great. I gave 5 stars because even though there was a wait, they were forth coming about it and it was made from scratch. My zinger burger would have been faster, as most other items on the menu, it was just the lamb karai in this case.
