Great atmosphere - Super friendly and helpful staff: DREW (MOD) stopped by the table w menu explanations and his recommendations on what's great; STEPHANIE, our waitress, had an awesome personality and sense of humor. LIVE music was perfect. Kind of hippie, kind of country, great covers ... We opted to split two combo meals (2 meats and 2 sides each.) SO ... much food but a great way to sample lots of things and leave with left overs. MEATS: spare ribs, pulled pork, smoked beef brisket and pulled BBQ chicken. SIDES: collard greens, fried okra, french fries and sweet potato casserole Plus, Kids Mac and Cheese (for our daughter.) Again, SO ... MUCH ... FOOD. This is one of my favorite BBQ places in all of Alpharetta, Roswell and Cumming. The portions are gigantic, the prices are super affordable and you'll have plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. The sauces are awesome and the Sweet Potato Casserole is the best I've ever had!! The ribs are a tad dry but they're still fantastic. I have no idea about the food. The restaurant advertises that they are open until 10. It was after 9 so we called ahead and they said come on. We got there at 9:30. We were informed that they shut their kitchen down at 8:30. I won't be eating at a cue ever if this is how they approach their business. Ribs were a tad tough (usually falling off bone), Mac was bland and could've used another 10 mins in the oven lol, they tossed us one sauce for a half slab and wings--and by wings, they mean wing DINGS, to my dismay. This has been on my list to try for a while. Unfortunately, the beef brisket was very dry. The pulled pork was good, but not the kind of BBQ that has you coming back for more. The fried okra was similar - slightly greasy and the batter seemed almost like tempura because it was a light coating. I would have expected to love the okra, but I didn't. That is probably a matter of preference. Now the positives, the server was really friendly and very patient with our four year old (who punched a hole in the cup and experienced a milk leak). The decor and music were perfect for a hometown BBQ atmosphere. Best part, easily.. the WINGS! My husband is a wing fanatic and he liked these. I am less of a wing connoisseur, but these were fantastic to me. The smoke flavor in the meat was even more pronounced than with the bbq and the blue cheese side was fantastic. It is worth the trip to go to 'Cue. The lightly battered fried okra with their fabulous dip is my favorite but the barbecue is right up there. I wanted to like this place but it was just ok. It is a pretty standard bbq place with pretty average bbq. You won't hate it, but you won't be overwhelmed by its goodness either. One of the things that made me give this three stars was the quality of the meat, it wasn't very high grade for the price and it was way over smoked to cover up the lack of quality. So rather than tasting the meat you taste mostly smoke. The sweet tea is definitely good here, get it. The sauces are good but very thin, they are made for mopping not getting on and staying on your ribs. The sides are pretty lackluster except the mac and cheese, that's really good! The atmosphere and the staff are what really stand out. They are helpful, eager to serve and take care of the guest. I can't really say how Cue compares with other BBQ places in the area because I only ate at one this trip, but I've had BBQ I like much better in Atlanta. I'll definitely give this place another shot after all the good reviews and recommendations​ I've gotten. If I like it more the next time, I'll update the review. read more

Cue is the best dang BBQ you can get. This was one of the first restaurants we went to in Milton and one we frequently a couple times month. All there sauces, sides, and pork is cooked/made on site. You will even see them outside smoking their meat as you drive by. If you are looking for something to complain about it won't be the food or service. But get there off peak so you don't complain about their limited parking. And yes you will like leave a little smokey but you are getting smoked BBQ so that is just part of the experience. I love there regular chopped pork with there homemade spicy BBQ sauce. The fries are fresh cut and fried and pair perfectly. I often take my toddler to lunch when we have the day together. I was craving good barbecue and always have a hard time justifying it when it's all fried and carb loaded side options. Especially when I'm trying to get the kid to eat some veggies This place was everything! Great food well seasoned and not dry AND had sides that I didn't need to feel too guilty about for myself or my kid. I got the combo platter chicken and sausage and had enough to save for dinner. I've only had takeout here, but the interior seems like a clean, nice space. The server who took my order over the phone and rang me up was super friendly. The beef brisket was pretty tasty, not super tender but still good. Mac and cheese and collard greens were both good, baked beans were a little too sweet for me, and the fried okra was probably my favorite side from here. Ribs were just okay, not really flavorful. Good size portions. Overall the food is pretty tasty and service is friendly. I've had better barbecue but this place is still pretty solid. I would return and try this place again! read more

I love this place. The staff is always super friendly, and I've never eaten anything I didn't like. Too be fair, I've only ever ordered the pulled pork, but that's just because it's so delicious. The website says they make everything, even their bread, from scratch daily. That's definitely what it tastes like. The meat is never dry, and I enjoy trading between the three different sauces they have to choose from. I feel that a bunch of barbecue restaurants concentrate mostly on the meat, but then skimp on the sides. Not here! In fact, sometimes I go here mainly because I'm craving the sides more than the BBQ! I've been back to 'Cue several times since my first review. In fact, for my suburban location, it's THE BBQ place I visit. No Slopes. No Dreamland. 'Cue IS my source for BBQ. 1st - 4th stars - additions / changes to my original review. First, I have now been to more expensive BBQ joints than 'Cue, and this place is uber reasonable given the quality of the BBQ. $10 minimum for lunch is a good asking price for good BBQ. Don't balk at it. I was wrong, and I admit it. Second, the brisket I had was meh on my first visit. Since then, I've had the brisket, pork AND homemade sausage, and IT IS ALL GOOD! The meat is moist and can be eaten by itself, no sauce. The sausage is spicey and takes about 15 minutes to prepare -- you SHOULD try it, though, if you like sausage. Finally, the Brunswick stew was meh on the first visit. Later visits have changed my opinion of this side. It's good, hearty, and still sporting that awesome spice that I liked the first time. Other recommended sides include the macaroni and cheese, collard greens and deviled egg potato salad. 5th star - customer service. I liked the service when I first visited 'Cue in December in a cold & flu drug-induced haze. Now I love it. I recently visited right at 8:56pm on a Thursday night with my parents. I wasn't sure they were still open. Sure enough, they close at 9pm on Thursday nights. I checked the closing time, walked back to the car, and, disappointed, told my parents we'd have to find something else on Windward Parkway. The owner -- Paul, I believe -- came out and waved us into the restaurant. I told him, "Hey, I don't wanna keep your staff late, dude. Folks wanna go home." He thanked me for being courteous enough to check the closing time and head back to the car and invited my party of four (4) to come on in and enjoy some BBQ. The waitress who stuck around until about 10pm after food was ordered and served and eaten was pleasant and perfectly fine that she had some late tables to serve. We shut the place down with some great BBQ and beers from the tap, and the owner chatted with us for a little while after we were done. Truly, there are few things better than savoring some good barbecue with friends. About fourteen of us invaded Cue to check out the barbecue, and everyone seemed to enjoy the experience. One friend really liked the atmosphere, saying "It's like a warm hug." Cue was comfortable. Somewhat rustic in decor. And we had a very large, spacious table for our meal. The ribs looked fantastic. The meat was falling off the bone. I was originally going to have some ribs, but for reasons that defy logic, I had the beef brisket and sausage plate. Very tasty. There was a lot of good stuff going on in that sausage. Spicy, with some good fennel. And the brisket was nice and smoky. Flavorful without the sauce, even if the sauces made it better. (There were three sauces on the table: sweet, mustard, and vinegar.) Everything my friends had looked good. And the sliders were reportedly delicious, even if the bun was freakishly thick. WOW. Had a huge craving for bbq last night and so we ended up here. Loved the ambience and the girl singing live music. Our server was on top of the ball and very nice. We ordered the Kentucky Bourbon Beers which were so delicious (and strong) as well as their wings. Wangs were phenomenal!!! What a great choice. Babe had the half rack ribs and I had the pulled chicken sandwich for our entrees. Both were great and huge portions so we definitely had leftovers. Left sad that I didn't get to try their fries. The baked beans were incredible and I could've had about ten servings. The only disappointing thing was the Mac n cheese which was pretty watery and overall just OK. But who cares. Can't win 'me all. If you come here to eat, just order these and you'll be happy. The nachos were ok. I don't understand how you have BBQ Nachos and use chicken and not pork. Here in the South, BBQ = Pork. ENTREE For my entree I got the combo platter w/ Sliced Smoked Brisket and Chopped Smoke Pork. The brisket was horrible. Maybe the worst I've ever had. Really thin slices of incredibly dry, tough meat. The chopped pork was ok, but nothing to write home about. I only got to try 1 BBQ sauce out of the 4 they had on the table, but it wasn't bad. For my sides I got mac & cheese and collard greens. The greens were decent, but I couldn't even eat the mac & cheese. The noodles just sat in a really liquidy, flavorless cheese sauce topped with another layer of baked cheese. Just bad. I really like my mac & cheese creamy. Should have gotten the sweet potato casserole. The bread and pickles that come with the BBQ were at least good. Dessert we had the blueberry cobbler which was good.
