My husband and i shared the rib platter with brisket along with two sides and added 4 jumbo wings ! The best part is they had live music playing ! It was calm and overall a beautiful experience. Dropped in because it's near by Brother-in-Law's. What a find. I had the pork and it had a great smoke flavor and a good mix of outside pieces yet was moist. Also had the sausage which was just OK - it was grilled and pretty dry - I'd pass on the sausage next time and that's the only reason I didn't award a 5th star. The sausage came with grilled sauerkraut and a dish of sliced pickled jalapeno's which were both surprisingly good. Good selection of 4 sauces to choose from but being from Georgia I stuck to the sweet. Sides were also excellent. The Sweet Potato Casserole was sweet enough to be desert! Collards were excellent and well flavored without too many stems. My wife had the Brunswick stew and it was very good - I was raised on corn and potatoes in my stew and this had just a little corn - but the amount of meat and the flavor was excellent. Noticed a truck sitting next to me at a light and saw it was from a BBQ joint in Milton that I had not heard of. I rounded up the family and we gave it a try. It did not disapoint. I tried the rib combo that came with a half rack of baby backs and brisket. I got the okra and potato salad as my sides. The ribs were excellent. Fell of the bone and had a great sauce glaze. They had just a hint of bark. Excellent. I got an excellent portion of sliced brisket. It was nice and fatty. I tried two of the four sauces. The standard tomato based sauce was smooth and not over powering. And the honey mustard was a nice change of pace with a good twang. I did not try the vinegar based sauses on this trip but I will be back so no worries there. Sides were a great complement. Potato salad was good and the okra was hot and crisp. My wife said it needed some salt but I was OK. Overall an excellent dinner. They have a lot on the menu that we still want to try including the cobblers. We have tried a lot of the other BBQ places in Roswell, Milton and Alphatetts and I have to say this is in the top 3. Best testament I can give is an empty plate. read more

Big shout out to the catering manager Julie Cumming! I hired a caterer to cook for a family event in March and he cancelled two days before my event. I was freaking out. I immediately went to 'Cue and Julie was available to help me and calm me down. She brought me a sample plate with little bowls to taste everything. It was all delicious! The pork was excellent, baked beans nothing special, my complaint is with the potato salad. If your expecting southern style potato salad, this is not it. To me it had that store bought taste, mushy, no egg, crisp celery, onion, pickle, or whatever your traditional favorite is included. It just didn't taste homemade. The mayonnaise base or whatever they use was not good, not sure what they used, and no mustard. My husband had no complaints though. I was looking forward to the southern mustard style. 'cue is Milton's answer for good homemade BBQ. Just like several other good Atlanta BBQ joints, this one is located way out in the burbs. 'cue is tucked within one of many strip malls along Highway 9. While this restaurant is a couple years old now, the space inside still feels new, clean, and cozy. There are high top tables and small TVs on either side of the restaurant and small tables and a bar with a widescreen TV in the middle. 'cue serves standard Southern BBQ fare including smoked pork, beef brisket, BBQ chicken, ribs, sausage, and vegetable plates. Some of their unique sides include Pittsburgh slaw (a vinegar-based slaw), deviled egg potato salad, and hand-cut russet potatoes. They also have specials. The night I went, some of their specials included sweet potato souffle and apple cobbler. I went on a Sunday night and the restaurant was busy. There were many couples and families. I tried the following: Chopped smoked pork Chopped beef brisket Sweet potato souffle Hand-cut russet potatoes Pittsburgh slaw Mac and cheese Bananas Doster (house special dessert) Apple cobbler Overall, the meats were good. The chopped pork is equivalent to pulled pork elsewhere. Both the pulled pork and beef brisket were a bit tougher than I'm used to. We ordered the platters and the meat portions were quite large. I had to move my side dishes off the plate to accommodate all of the meat. Now that is a good thing! Each table comes with three BBQ sauces: (1) sweet and spicy mustard, (2) sweet and spicy red, and (3) sweet tomato-based. The bottles aren't labeled. All three were fine and I didn't really prefer one over the other. The sweet tomato-based sauce tasted almost like ketchup to me. The platters were served with small samples of homemade pickles and onions as well as homemade bread. It seems everything is "homemade" here. The bread was buttered, toasted, and delightfully crispy. As for the sides, the russet potatoes were basically (good) French fries. I ordered the Pittsburgh slaw because I've never had it before. I thought it might be like North Carolina vinegar-based "red" slaw, but it's not. The cabbage is coarser, yellow, and there are pieces of tomato in the slaw. While there wasn't anything wrong with it, I probably wouldn't order it again. I thought the mac and cheese were just okay for a BBQ restaurant. It was good, but not as memorable as Sam's BBQ1 or Dave Poe's BBQ. The Bananas Doster is cue's play on the traditional Bananas Foster dessert. It was awesome. It's vanilla pudding topped with crushed Nilla wafers, sliced bananas sautéed in butter, brown sugar and roasted pecans, flambéed with dark rum with whipped cream on top. Incredibly rich and decadent. The apple cobbler was nothing to write home about. They sprinkled fresh cinnamon on top. If you get dessert, I recommend splitting one with another person. How can there be so much disappointment yet such a high rating? BBQ has so many varieties (as do the sides that accompany it). Just because it doesn't suit my taste buds, doesn't require a lower rating. Even the items that I didn't like showed a commitment to their vision, quality ingredients, and attention to preparation. And there's bound to be plenty of folks who share their same definition of how that item should be done. The one item I might have quibble with was the desert, but let's start things in proper sequence. The staff greetings (and farewells) were friendly as was the prompt service the entire night. They use large glasses, but I can drain them quickly having walked all day in the sun. Yet never did I hit bottom before a fresh soda arrived. The meal came quickly and I was overwhelmed by their size. I have NEVER seen a rack of ribs that size. Not only that, the thickness was incredible. I only made it past two bones before I was full (and I am not a little guy)! The meat was tender and flavorful and the sauce was okay. Next time I will get it without sauce because that's the style I prefer (and when I do have sauce it's more of a Kansas City or TN style). Having said that, I do think it was the best of the sauces they offer. For sides I got the fresh cut fries and the deviled egg potato salad and (like the other platters) it also came with homemade toasted bread and pickles. I prefer my fries crispy and normally avoid fresh cut as they tend to be greasy. Thankfully, these were not. While still of the limp variety they tasted great (especially dipped in ranch chipotle dressing) and were my favorite side item. The potato salad was too sweet for my taste and I guess that's because their version of deviled eggs must be heavy on the pickle relish. And speaking of pickles, they weren't dill, but also leaned to the sweet side. Not quite Bread-n-Butter or "garden" pickles, but definitely not a garlic dill which I prefer. So their sweetness would explain the sweetness of the potato salad. So next time I'm going to go with the mac-n-cheese instead. The Banana Doster is the only dish I can truly take issue with. Visually it looked so tempting, but when we tried it, it was all sugary sweetness and very little flavor. The brown sugar gave it an unpleasant grittiness and overpowered the pecans. I picked out a few of the vanilla wafers and limited my self to a few spoonfuls of pudding from the very bottom. Like nearly everything else it was a generous portion, but I think a splash of a liqueur might have helped. read more

The atmosphere was bright and clean and there was a gentlemen singing and playing the guitar right in front of you. Not only was the music live, but it was really good! It was mostly 90s music. Service was quick and friendly. The prices are average compared to other BBQ restaurants. I ordered the BBQ Pulled Chicken plate with two sides including sweet potato casserole and fried okra. The sweet potato casserole was steaming hot and delicious! The fried okra was lightly fried which I liked (not too heavy). I was impressed with the BBQ sauce used on the meat which they also have on the table for you to add on as you please. I was in town for work and my team took me out to dinner. I'm from the Midwest and so I wanted "BBQ" because "I'm in the South." It's a lot like coming to a Famous Dave's, which is a good thing. I like Famous Dave's. It's commercial, without trying too hard. The food was good. I like the sides that I chose (mac/cheese and greens) my brisket sandwich was juicy and full of flavor. My biggest critique is the sauce situation. There are 5 bottles with no labels and they are all filled with liquid that is the same color. Best BBQ in the Alpharetta/ Milton/ Cumming area! My office orders in from this restaurant at least once a quarter and it is always a hit. Everything on their menu tastes great! My favorite are their ribs, potato salad (not sweet at all), mac n cheese, and their banana pudding! Their banana pudding has a nice twist to it- they use chocolate chip cookies instead of vanilla wafers.....DELICIOUS! I'm personally not a big okra fan, but my coworkers rave about how perfectly balanced the fried okra is and how you must also ask for extra sauce to slather all of your bbq'd meat in.
