I went there for a late lunch a while back, I think it was 3 or 4 and there was loud music! I can not stand when the music is so freaking loud that I don't feel comfortable. I ordered the ceviche with hot Cheetos and the Cheetos tasted like they were a day old. Like the bag had been opened and they tasted like rubber. I did not enjoy the experience. Loud band music. Love this place! I have been about 3 times already. First time was on the weekend and it was extremely packed & to park in the front you have to pay for valet (which I recommend) but to skip the wait and Valet we have started to come on Weekday nights, because the food is sooo good and its not crowded. LOVED this place. I seriously felt at home. The service was great. Food was top notch, as well as the drinks. The music was fantastic. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Only thing I'll say is bring your ear plugs. The music is super loud which I enjoyed but I know some people will complain. The only reason I know about this place because I got invited to eat dinner there otherwise I don't think I would of go eat there. 1. The place looks nice, in a very "hood" area. I was impressed of how nice it looked. 2. The menu pictures of the food look very delicious so don't go based of the pictures . 3 the sushi was nothing near what I expected, it was very blend and the two rolls I ordered tasted the same. We also ordered Tostada agua Chile. Literally tasted like water with hot sauce (I'm a fan of agua Chile and that's not how it should be) 4. We order a "pretty girl" FROZEN the waitress came back with a pretty girl on the ROCKS and let us know they dont do frozen (she should of stated that in the begging) or come back and ask if we wanted something else instead of bringing the drink. Therefore we just ordered a different drink. 4 The only thing that was worth it is the frozen mango margaritas & the "camarones a la roca". The molcajete culichitown was OKAY but tasted more like Clamato. 5 we asked for the check and the pretty girl rocks drink was on my tab which I never took a zip nor touched the drink because it was something we didn't ordered we asked the waitress to get it removed from our tab and she went to the computer and the manager came back with her and saying "We CANNOT take the drink out otherwise she (the waitress) would have to pay for it so you should get another mango margarita to-go" I have worked in restaurant before and as manager you trying to pleased the customers and fix the errors of the employees. Thai is my second time coming here and I was very disappointed. The first time I came I thought the good and service was amazing. This time I came not only did I have to go look for someone to find our waitress because we were seated for about 15 minutes and no one noticed us. They didn't bring our water and chips until maybe after 30 minutes of us waiting. As we ate no one came to refill our drinks. I had to constantly look for our waiters or anyone that could help us. Not sure If I would come back. They need to make sure all of their clients are taken care of. read more

Best place I've been to in a while , love the atmosphere, the food , the drinks and LOVED the live music , great place to take the family , the banda took requests and played favorites , I ordered two rolls of sushi and surprised by the amount they give compared to other places. Very spacious outside and inside, the outdoor part is very beautiful, beach looking, looks awesome to have a big party , there's musicians that go and play songs for a fee but they're good. The main thing I really really liked was the Banda , we were lucky enough to go on a night that they played , Banda Reyna, from what I hear it's not always the same band so actually hearing and seeing these guys was great. We waited more than 30 minutes for anyone to take our drink order, only after my husband finally stood up to ask if anyone was ever going to come around to attend our table. Once we placed our food order, we had to seek attention for the "bartender/waiter" to bring missing items. We were never asked if we needed anything, nor did we get our drinks refilled. First of the restaurant is under staffed, which leads to bad service. I went here with my friend for her birthday and service was terrible! We had to wait 20-30 min to get our drinks. To get our food we had to wait an additional 30 minutes. They are not willing to split the checks, and when asked if it is possible they get upset. If you're looking for something different, this is it. If you're looking for ambiance, then this is it. If you're into the scarce restaurants on the north side angle, then this is it. If you are a big sushi fan, you'll most likely be very disappointed in the quality and the price for said quality. But right now, I'm going to focus on the live band. I went last Friday, Dec 1, 2017. Banda Konzentida was playing. At some point the tuba player came up to our table and asked in Spanish something to the effect are there any songs we'd like to hear. He never at any point told our table that they charged per song, let alone charged $25 a song. This will be my main point, not the fact they charge that much for a local band who plays so so on songs that isn't in their repertoire. In retrospect, I'm fine with the fact they charge, even if it is that much, and not playing for tips. I remember mariachi bands charging at Mexican restaurants. So the tuba player kept coming up to our table and we'd tell him another song to play. Over an hour later of playing songs we told them the name of, they told us we owed them $550. Fortunately, I had the cash for my portion on me. But the other two in my party did not, and I wasn't going to pay for them. So... This got ugly right away. I could go on, but basically the tuba player never told us upfront, or at any point later that they charged, or how much, and then slaps us with what we owe them when they are done performing our "requests." We told the managers they never told us they charged, but of course the managers backed the band and obviously customer service was out the door at this point. The band basically pulled a street hustler move on us, or like a dancer at a strip club move on us. They knew what they were doing, coming up to us and kind of gray area getting us to say names of songs we'd like to hear, without them ever telling us they charged, let alone how much. And then slaps us with the total at the end, and you know they've done this before to other unwitting customers, because they had all the answers for everything we said to them. Like we owe it, sorry. They'll waive the convenience fee on our credit card. We can do a payment plan. If we can't pay, they'll hold our cell phones as collateral to make sure we come back to pay them. If we can't pay, they'll call the police. I still can't believe the cost of a local banda playing so so for slightly over an hour comes out to $550. That is more than an entire 2 hour concert at Banda MS for 3 people! But that aside, still the main point is the band hustled us, they knew exactly what they were doing, the managers on duty backed the band, and the tuba player lied about how he told us first they charged. Like had we been told, we would have had them play for over on hour at that rate. I'm not even bashing the restaurant, or the banda. Even though the tuba player was wrong for that. I'll chalk it up to a learning experience this one time. read more

There went for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night and it was packed. The birthday girl loves the music so that's how the place was picked. The waitstaff and bartenders were super friendly but the food was horrible. We ordered the guacamole and it didn't come with chips. I asked twice and we never got them. We ordered 3 different sushi rolls and they were all pretty bad. The menu is sort of limited. The tables for dinner are small. We had to ask for silverware and chopsticks. Service is not the same as to when they first opened. Hosts are not friendly at all. The servers are friendly, but very slow. They even get lost for over half an hour and you have to ask someone else for service. The food comes out in sections: you get one plate, then 20 mins later you get the other and so on. Althouh the atmosphere and waitstaff was great the food is way to overpriced for the quality and taste of it. The sushi was subpar and did not taste fresh at all. I understand fried sushi is always going to be different but the taste of it was just not good I didn't even finish it. The ceviche was horrible.It maybe just the way they cook the shrimp...which they don't! It's literally raw shrimp mixed with the different toppings that are chosen. Horrible food.
