My husband and I visited El Muelle for lunch, and they offer a wide variety of seafood dishes. As soon as we sat down, we were given complimentary nachos with a spicy sauce, simple but good. I ordered the whole fried tilapia, which came with fried rice, French fries, and a small garden salad. The fish was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, really well done. My husband ordered a combo of fried fish and shrimp, both perfectly breaded and fried. His plate also came with fried rice and salad. Service was fast, and the staff was friendly. I ordered for takeout. Fried combination plate (1 tilapia, 4 shrimp) comes with side of fried rice, French fries, and salad with a side of creamy sweet yellow dressing. I chose to get my seafood fried (thin cornmeal batter), but there are several other options listed. The tilapia was thick, moist, and flaky. The shrimp wasn't overcooked. The fried rice (chopped broccoli) had good seafood seasoning and texture. The French fries were okay. Chilango roll was really good and hits the spot if you're looking for a mix of fried and fresh textures. The unagi sauce is very sweet and has a thinner consistency than other places. The shrimp tempura and imitation crab mix doesn't taste too heavy. The fresh strawberry and jalapeño slices add freshness. The fried onions are thin yet super crunchy like taro chips. read more

Not a bad experience but even one smile goes a long way. Food and drinks: Outstanding in both areas. The restaurant offers very good variety of seafood as well as surf and turf choices. Food was well presented (as seen on menu pictures) and made with fresh ingredients. The seasoning and flavours were spot on. Fish filet was flaky and beef fajitas were very tender. Ceviche with snapper was delicate and not too acidic. Everyone in our party enjoyed fried tilapias too. Drinks, again, presented just like on the pictures. I had the shrimp Vallarta! It was amazing!!!!!!! Bacon wrapped, cheese and green pepper stuffed shrimps grilled and finished on a sizzling platter. Served with garlic clarified butter grilled onions and 3 small slices of green pepper. All they need to do is add tortillas with this and it's perfect. Well that and a couple more slices of peppers. Yes it came with fries a side salad, and their signature fried rice. The rice was good but nothing to write home about. But that shrimp combo is something I will be recreating at home! As far as service, I was the only person at the bar. So of course all I had to do is look up from this wonderful meal and I was being asked if I needed anything. We stopped here after a quick Yelp search for where to eat. This place seemed to have decent reviews so we thought why not!? I am so happy we stopped here! From the moment we walked in service was great. They had a good crowd for a weekday dinner. Our server came buy and recommended the margaritas and we just could not say no. I ordered the cucumber margarita and it was amazing. So refresing and tasty! One of the best margaritas I have tried. We initially were not gonna get an appetizer but she recommended the chicharron de tilapia. This is just fried tilapia with some pico de gallo and a sweet spicy sauce on the side. So simple but so delicious. We loved it! For my entrée I ordered the chicken and shrimp parrilla. This came on a bed of grilled onions and peppers with a grilled jalapeno, fried rice, guacamole, and your choice of tortilla on the side. Everything was absolutely delicious! It was so much food for such a great price. Throughout our whole dinner, our waiter checked in with us multiple times and made sure we had refills for both our margaritas and our waters. Came here on a Friday evening around 7/7:30 and it was already pretty busy. It took a few minutes for us to get sat but we finally did , and also sat for a while until someone greeted us and she asked if anyone had been at the table so she took our drink order which was nice. The waiter then told us the other server was coming to greet us but It be a few minutes which I expected because they had a few tables and large parties. The waiter finally came took our order and probably passed by once more to check on us and that was it. We ordered a shrimp cocktail , a sopa & I think it was the seafood platter ? We wanted to try this place because mambos is usually our spot , but really wasn't impressed. My bf said his sopa was very salty & my food you could just smell the overly seasoned garlic in it. Sad because we wanted to like this place and the food especially because of the reviews but didn't live up to the standard. Also the server circled the part of the tip percentages and how much you're " supposed to tip " 18,20,22 percent and it says how much , and we just laughed she had the audacity to do that when the service was horrible .
